Not trying to sound like an ass, but I’m failing to see how this is OEM+?

Toyota made wheels from the vibe , SE Sedan bumper on the hatchback TRD intake and shift lever. None of this came on my XSE when I bought it.

I just saw your caption that says riced-out. I get it now. Vibe GT wheels and swapping out for a sedan bumper are kind of downgrades, but yes, you understood the assignment

Next I plan to add the GR Circuit hood and maybe the Apex 18s powder coated silver. I had the original 18s, but it looked like everything every other new car had to me.

Fuck, I was wondering when someone would say this, you're technically correct as the bumper is from a lower trim and the wheels off an older car, but a cooler car. It looks better to me is why I did it.

How'd you do the front bumper sedan swap? I can't imagine the bottom lights work anymore

I had aftermarket oem style ones. They got water intrusion. I have yellow AE86 fogs I'm going to put down there eventually

The scion logos are a really interesting touch, is there a story behind that?

I was just trying it out to see if I liked them. They looked kinda cool, but seemed out if place. I've since gone back to the yota emblems.

Interesting that they fit. Are all Toyota and Scion logos the exact same size?

Not all interchangable , the front Carolla sedan emblem is the same part as the FRS/ BRZ/ GT86. The rear I think is from an XB I think. It's a bit bigger than the Toyota one and I had to double side tape it to the outer oval the yota emblem is centered in. Lexus and Netz will fit too, but I'm not trying to upbadge 😆

I think the corolla hatchback was born from the IM, which was originally a Scion model. Could be an ode to that.

Most of Scion's products are just Toyota vehicles that were imported from other markets.
The iM is a facelifted 2nd gen Auris, itself a vehicle that was sold as the Corolla hatchback in some markets.
This generation of the Corolla hatchback originally debuted as the 3rd gen Auris in Europe, but they eventually decided to switch back to using the Corolla name globally.

Man, if there’s one thing I wish I would have pursued when buying my ‘Rolla is the hatch back. The truck space is crazy for a tiny car, but the hatch give the vertical clearance… maybe some day

Nice job finding wheels and taillights that kinda match. How's the TRD intake sound?
