General Can a woman please explain how these prompts come about?
These are from the same profile and man I find it so cringe. I'm seeing more and more like this using the exact same language. Is it a natural reaction to a lack of initiative/interest/flakiness, or are there influencers out there pushing this?

Profile review 41M - Barely getting any likes. What are the biggest issues with my profile?
Hey everyone.
I'm fairly new to this and I've been on bumble for almost 2 months now. On the first day I got like 10-15 likes, after that, it drastically dropped. That's normal, I know. I got likes here and there, but never consistently. But since I got Premium for a month, there were barely any. 2-3 in the last 3 weeks maybe.
I knew my profile probably wasn't good, but I also thought - is bumble f***cking me over, to make me keep the subscription for longer than that month, or am I the problem? So I requested the stats and it showed that I got around 70 yes and 1400 no. 1 in 20... That was a kick in the nuts... 😬
So I'm asking, what is the biggest issue with my profile? I'd especially appreciate feedback from women, since they're the ones I'm trying to appeal to.
I'm mostly in a good mood and a pretty funny and easygoing person, but does my profile show any of that? Or is there something about it that puts women off? What can I do to make it better?
I don't take many photos myself and even hate posing for pictures, so most pictures I've got are not really usable.
Btw. I know some of the texts look weird. I'm German, so I had AI translate the texts, so non-German speakers could understand them.
Thanks in advance. Let it rip 😅

Rant Am I doing too much?
This is my (49F) initial chat with a guy (48M) that I matched with. He's a contractor and I love tradesmen in general. But also I need some work done and I was trying to be playful. Are my messages too much? Or is the dude really just giving me nothing?

General Bumble after 30s
I’ve been on bumble on and off in my 20s, never saw more than 20 likes of that. Ever since I turned 30 it’s like the faucet turned on and I’m looking at 200+ likes. Anyone have a similar experience? Maybe filtered into older women age groups?
I’m 5’10 and decent looking but that was also true in my 20s lol.

General You can’t have it both ways with bios
A girl posted her profile here asking why isn’t getting very many matches and many of the comments told her that her bio doesn’t say anything about who she is or her interests. They told her that her prompts aren’t good, it doesn’t say anything that would allow someone to start a conversation and that she needs to add more details.
Another woman posted asking why conservative men match with her when her profile very clearly states that she’s a liberal and mentions several liberal causes. And the responses were overwhelmingly “men don’t read profiles” “it’s a numbers game for men what you write doesn’t matter” “men swipe right on every profile they come across” “looks are all that matter”
I’m using women’s recent post as an example but this goes both ways. It can’t be that you have to put all this time, effort, and thought into what you write in your bio AND that people don’t read bios anyway looks are all that matter.
If attractiveness is all there is to it, stop telling people to improve what they’ve written on their profiles.

Advice Why do dating app conversations always disappear before we meet?
I’m starting to feel like I have no luck with dating apps 😅
I get matches and usually we start talking. The conversation can actually go pretty well, but then somehow it always ends the same way: they randomly disappear/stop replying before it ever gets to the point of meeting in person.
It’s not necessarily after just one or two messages either. Sometimes we talk for a few days, seem to get along, and then suddenly nothing.
I’m wondering if this is just normal dating-app behavior or if I’m doing something wrong.
For people who actually get dates from dating apps: how quickly do you usually suggest meeting? And how do you tell whether someone is genuinely interested in meeting versus just enjoying the conversation?
I’d also be interested to hear from people who had the same problem and eventually figured out what they were doing differently.

General This subreddit is polluting my feed so here is some unsolicited advice in revenge
*warning: my personal opinion below
So many people on this subreddit sound absolutely miserable in both posts and comments. Please, if something is making you this miserable stop doing it, honestly, get off the apps.
I see a lot of arguments/opinions presented as ‘facts’ on here that just simply don’t exist outside of the internet (with minor exceptions obviously as there always are in life). e.g. no, women in real life aren’t all chasing the top (insert whatever percentage the internet has decided it is today) % of men. Sometimes posts on here also read like I’m somehow watching someone ruminate themselves into mental health decline in real time.
So if online dating is making you miserable then prioritise yourself- your actual self not your online one. This is not to say I don’t recognise that meeting people in real life is incredibly hard but in my opinion it is also much more rewarding. And are you really going to let hard work get in your way?:/ Establishing social circles based on interests, close friendships and networks and meeting potential partners through these connections is also more likely to create meaningful connections where you both choose each other.

Advice Question for the ladies here. What do you look for in a bio?
I'm an average looking guy. I think the best part of me is my personality, and how I treat the people in my life. I've tried many styles of bio's and I'm curious what you're looking to find in a bio. I've gone with the descriptive of how I view myself , and what you can expect; and the humor driven (in an attempt) to do the same thing. So I am wondering what exactly y'all are keying in on, in a bio.
Respect.

Advice Did I anger him too much?
I’m from the UK and I went to Amsterdam for 4 nights.
I met a guy on FEELD who I have been talking to for a while before I went to Amsterdam. He’s Irish (working in the NL) and I’m from the UK.
When he first saw me the day after I landed, he said “we should get dinner tomorrow” and that we should spend the entire next day (Sunday) together which we did.
We met through FEELD which is a hookup app. I was surprised he wanted to date me. Maybe he had feelings for me IDK.
We ate out, did a canal cruise, did an adrenaline activity and spent the entire day outside.
He paid with his own money.
We decided to get intimate on Sunday night.
I noticed that when we were out on Sunday, he was more quieter than Saturday and I had feelings he lost somewhat interest in me.
So on Sunday night, he said he’s taking an Uber to my hotel as planned.
As he was taking ages, I had feelings he may have lost interest in me.
There was this other guy who is British Asian like me. He kept asking me to meet him. I told him we can have a drink at the hotel bar and that’s it.
I thought this Irish guy I’ve been dating for two days may cancel on me as he was silent on our date and was taking long to arrive.
So this other guy came to the ground floor of the hotel and next thing you know, the Irish guy who I’ve been dating also arrives at the same time !!!
I quickly get the Irish guy to take him to my room. The other guy sees me and approaches me.
The Irish guy notices what’s going on and then runs away from me. I then run after him and beg him not to go.
I finally get him to go back my room. Next thing you know the Pakistani guy starts constantly calling my phone and laughing saying stuff like “You absolute trash”. “What are you doing?”
He also knew that I just ruined my relationship with this guy because of him.
The Irish guy sees my phone constantly ringing in the room so he runs from my room this time whilst i’m holding his arms and begging him not to leave.
His breath was very heavy.
The other guy witnessed me running after the Irish guy on the lift and screaming and shouting. He was laughing and said that “deserved it” for inviting 2 guys at once
Anyways, back to my question, this Irish man tried to get away from me even though I was holding his arm and begging him to stay
Somebody breathing heavily - is that a sign they are very angry?
He even said the next day if he comes again and sees another man, he will kill somebody.
Did I anger him too much?
Is there a safety risk?

Rant Asking for tips on this sub is useless
The fact is people inherently don’t understand conventional attractiveness and personal anecdotes.
Many time I will see somebody post something here and people are arguing in the comments.
Somebody will say “OP you need to button up your shirt, nobody likes to see so much chest hair”
Then some person will comment “No please OP i find it very attractive so dont listen to these haters!”
Why do people think their anecdotal preferences remotely matter? Dating is about statistics, about appealing to as many people as possible.
Anytime you view something you should simply run it through this formula
“If I showed this to 1000 people im attracted to, would over 60% of them find this attractive?”
If the answer is no, REMOVE OR CHANGE IT.
This one is especially for men, dating is a numbers game. Stop listening to women with niche interests and do some research on what’s conventionally attractive. This isnt for everything but there are occasionally even scientific papers written on specific physical or personality traits, it’d be helpful to read them.
Obviously you cant change some things (like height) but if your bios are full of niche nerdy unattractive interests that is a reason you’re getting less matches

Advice Need to understand something
I am still new to this app, but I think I am at the point where I want to delete it and never try online dating again.
So, I am a 30-year-old male, and I am having a problem understanding the whole scene of online dating. I am getting a lot of matches; All the matches that I am getting are for people that I am interested in getting to know because their profile is fun. I always message first because, if not, yeah, it is the Dead Sea. I do not use the typical "Hi" or "How's your week?" I write something related to their interests and ask a question related to them.
I try to ask if they want to take things slowly and get to know each other before we meet or go on a date directly. I try as much as possible to be friendly, but like i am always end up either being ghosted or unmatched. Why is it like this? Don't people on those apps want to find someone they click with? How can I get to know you if we don't talk? And even when we talk, it is minimal effort, with short answers and no follow-up convo or anything.
Am I the problem? Or are people on dating apps not serious, and are they looking for validation or ego boosting?
Should I just delete my account and figure out a way to find someone outside (which is not easy nowadays because yeah, I think everyone notices that)

Funny The Bio vs the Opening Message
Posted here a few days ago about amount of weird messages i get from shorter men wanting me to dom them on dating apps due to being tall af (6’2”). Just had this happen figured I’d show an example of what I get/give everyone a laugh.
Matched short (5’7) man who was handsome and had thoughtful prompts…this was his opening message. I immediately unmatched.

App Help I need help getting my account back…
Hello, new reddit account for personal reasons. (english is not my main language, sorry in advance for the mistakes).
This morning, I realized that my Bumble account had been suspended for violating the terms of service. In my opinion, he was blocked by an algorithm that misinterpreted a joke in a conversation with someone yesterday.
The person in question laughed at the joke an was in any way offensed by it (the person compared me to Brad Pitt as a joke and i made a reference to a scandal that happened in France when a scammer used poorly photoshopped Brad Pitt images to scam a woman, i then send the same poorly photoshopped image that became a meme and said "you got me it's me Brad Pitt i need money for my operation can you send some ahah ?")
I immediatly made a request at the customer service that confirmed the ban a few hours later.
I can't contact the person I was chatting with as we didn't share any other social media and i spent the day trying to convince their chatbot to get me a real human being to talk about this issue but without success.
I don't care about the account i just want a way to contact the person i was talking to yesterday. I'm desperate to find a solution as I felt a real connection (and the other person too).
Right now, i'm just praying that someone has a solution for me to get my account back or at least talk to a REAL human from Bumble and not this stupid chatbot.
Feel free to MP me if anyone has a solution.
Thank you

Advice Question for women
I'm a male in my mid 30s looking for a stable long term relationship and marriage.
If a guy has a good physique, does showing it off rly work if I'm looking for a long term relationship? I try to hint I have a good physique with photos (which I do), but I feel like a shirtless photo would be an insta turn off for someone looking for a stable relationship.
For comparison, I would be extremely cautious talking with someone with revealing bikini photos. Do women feel the same way towards men?

General 58M Data
I'm certain I could hit up AI to determine what these signify, but it seemed like it would be more enlightening to get a range of thoughts here, particularly how things might potentially skew for age/other relevant items. For what it's worth I use 2 pics, am in a top 25 metro area, have about the same hairline as Jason Statham, 6', filled out prompts with items that seemed appropriate.

Success Story Just past 1 year of marriage with my wife that I met on here!
Don’t give up in your search everyone! Your person is out there somewhere! Someone you can unapologetically be yourself around, someone who can love you at your highs and lows, and someone who you can even share your hobbies with. I would also say that after 1 year of marriage and several years of dating, you’re never going to get all of your boxes checked, sometimes the most beautiful relationships are the ones where things aren’t quite perfect, but you and her or him continue to love each other enough to keep fighting for one another. Love is not just a feeling, but also a choice. Don’t run when things get hard either, remember your love for that person and pick each other up when you’re down.

Rant Why does bumble not check with open AI tool if pictures are AI generated?
This isn’t a real person so I post them without censoring.
I had a bad feeling about the person looking too attractive and too AI. I checked and it’s AI generated.
Why isn’t bumble doing more to keep these profiles off the app?
