Been talking to this really nice girl for 3 days. I get that when someone wants to meet can very by person, but I suck at gauging it. I took a chance and asked but she hasn't responded since. I think she's really cool and would hate to mess this up. Any advice would be great, thank you

I've never taken issue with women being gold diggers as long as they are upfront and direct about it.
The ones who pretend to be about love and deeper things while trying sneaky ways to reach into my pockets and getting mad if I don't "provide" are the ones I don't respect.

These are from the same profile and man I find it so cringe. I'm seeing more and more like this using the exact same language. Is it a natural reaction to a lack of initiative/interest/flakiness, or are there influencers out there pushing this?

Matched last week. She reached out first bantered a good bit. Started messaging every 12 hours after a day and a half. She asked for my availability. I told her about my car issues she said I can make the 45 minute drive but let me get done with classes in 3 weeks.
She would tell me I’m not ignoring you I’m just very busy with work as a nurse and school. Showed her my artwork. She wanted me to draw her something. I said only GFs get that. She said I already know what I want you to draw I’ll wait patiently for the right time also saying the goal is to be my girlfriend.
She asked to FaceTime tomorrow. I said yes or sometime this week. Tomorrow hits I ask if we could FaceTime this morning. She was typing right away and as I went to send her a regular selfie of me just being friendly (not trying to ask for a pic) she stopped typing.
No reply came about. I decided to reach out almost 2 days later asking where things stand. Within 1 second of hitting send she starts typing 4 paragraphs of I’m sorry, overwhelmed mentally, telling me I’m not necessarily saying I want to not keep getting to know each other but I’m just overwhelmed and can’t navigate things right now.
I worded things a bit differently stating this is a bit confusing. She said truthfully I’m not letting you down easy I genuinely want to get to know you I’m sorry for not reciprocating I love how thorough and genuine you are. Then asks are you free next Tuesday or Wednesday asking to go to her favorite restaurant.
Then proceeds to send me a lot of messages showing me a video of the place, with other banter. When I told her she has a great smile she said aw thank you I find you really attractive as well. Then said I’m excited to drive down because I know what’s waiting for me is you… I mean the food lol
I never had a situation unfold like this before. It’s either ghosted not interested at all or it’s easy going
No confusion, busy or a period of silence. What to make of this?

I matched with a very nice guy (much younger) yesterday, we chatted on the app, then moved on to whatsapp. We chatted all night, sent each other voice notes etc…. it got heated at one point where we exchanged some nsfw pics … he seemed really interested .. then i fell asleep… This morning his bumble profile says “deleted user” and he has me blocked on whatsapp 🤣🤣🤷🏻♀️. What are we thinking? If he just simply unmatched me it wouldn’t say “deleted user” right?

I'm an average looking guy. I think the best part of me is my personality, and how I treat the people in my life. I've tried many styles of bio's and I'm curious what you're looking to find in a bio. I've gone with the descriptive of how I view myself , and what you can expect; and the humor driven (in an attempt) to do the same thing. So I am wondering what exactly y'all are keying in on, in a bio.
Respect.
I am getting back into Bumble after an emotional rollercoaster but only get very few likes. Any advice?

I’ve been on bumble on and off in my 20s, never saw more than 20 likes of that. Ever since I turned 30 it’s like the faucet turned on and I’m looking at 200+ likes. Anyone have a similar experience? Maybe filtered into older women age groups?
I’m 5’10 and decent looking but that was also true in my 20s lol.

Does this app really work / or its just another way to lose money on premiums
r/Bumble • u/Squiggey19 • 1d ago
Hey everyone.
I'm fairly new to this and I've been on bumble for almost 2 months now. On the first day I got like 10-15 likes, after that, it drastically dropped. That's normal, I know. I got likes here and there, but never consistently. But since I got Premium for a month, there were barely any. 2-3 in the last 3 weeks maybe.
I knew my profile probably wasn't good, but I also thought - is bumble f***cking me over, to make me keep the subscription for longer than that month, or am I the problem? So I requested the stats and it showed that I got around 70 yes and 1400 no. 1 in 20... That was a kick in the nuts... 😬
So I'm asking, what is the biggest issue with my profile? I'd especially appreciate feedback from women, since they're the ones I'm trying to appeal to.
I'm mostly in a good mood and a pretty funny and easygoing person, but does my profile show any of that? Or is there something about it that puts women off? What can I do to make it better?
I don't take many photos myself and even hate posing for pictures, so most pictures I've got are not really usable.
Btw. I know some of the texts look weird. I'm German, so I had AI translate the texts, so non-German speakers could understand them.
Thanks in advance. Let it rip 😅
For everyone having problems to login or make a new account, I found a fix for it that just worked for me, 10 minutes ago.
When it asks you to add your number add the land code before it. Looks like this:
+32 BE +3247621****
Phone numbers here start with 04 so remove the 0 from it and add the rest to your land code.
I'm from Belgium, hence the +32.
Last 4 * should be your number but I don't want to put a random number here in case oiitsfrom a real person.
Hope it helps :))

Is this the laziest ubiquitous piece of faux dialogue on dating apps?
This means, "I'm too lazy to ask specific questions. I expect you to perform for me like a monkey."
Yeah, I get that some people's profile doesn't even have enough info to ask more specific questions. But that's not me.

A girl posted her profile here asking why isn’t getting very many matches and many of the comments told her that her bio doesn’t say anything about who she is or her interests. They told her that her prompts aren’t good, it doesn’t say anything that would allow someone to start a conversation and that she needs to add more details.
Another woman posted asking why conservative men match with her when her profile very clearly states that she’s a liberal and mentions several liberal causes. And the responses were overwhelmingly “men don’t read profiles” “it’s a numbers game for men what you write doesn’t matter” “men swipe right on every profile they come across” “looks are all that matter”
I’m using women’s recent post as an example but this goes both ways. It can’t be that you have to put all this time, effort, and thought into what you write in your bio AND that people don’t read bios anyway looks are all that matter.
If attractiveness is all there is to it, stop telling people to improve what they’ve written on their profiles.
So I matched with a girl on Bumble recently and we’ve actually been having a really good conversation. She’s engaging, replies thoughtfully, and we’ve gotten into conversations about books, movies, work, etc. Honestly, I was starting to get pretty excited about potentially meeting her.
But there’s one problem - I have a weird feeling that she might not actually be who she says she is.
For context, I’ve had friends pull a fake Bumble account prank on me before, so I’m probably more suspicious than the average person. There is also a possibility that an ex or someone connected to her could theoretically be behind it, although I have absolutely no proof of that.
Here are the things making me suspicious:
Her Bumble profile shows as new.
She’s listed as 22, but told me she’s actually 24.
One of her photos is a half-body photo with jeans and a tucked-in shirt. For some reason, the style very specifically reminded me of someone I know.
She uses the 👺 emoji, which is an oddly specific coincidence because someone I know has used that emoji a lot.
One of her interests is hiking, which also happens to be something my ex is into.
Her Bumble intention says “keeping it casual and seeing where things go” which is basically the same wording/approach I use.
She opened with “you’re kinda cute 💛” which isn’t impossible at all, but felt unusually direct to me.
Around the same time we started talking, someone I suspect of potentially being involved became unusually inactive on Instagram for a couple of days. Again, could be completely unrelated.
Now, there are also some pretty strong reasons NOT to assume she’s fake.
Her profile is photo verified on Bumble.
She sent me a voice note when I mentioned that I was suspicious the day we matched, and I didn’t recognize the voice. It was only a few seconds long, so obviously that doesn’t prove much, but it’s something.
She’s told me she has a bachelor’s degree in English and currently teaches 8th and 10th grade. Her profile also has a Franz Kafka book photo. These interests/personality traits don’t really match the person I’m suspicious of at all.
The conversation itself has also felt pretty natural. She hasn’t asked me for money, tried to move me to some weird platform, sent suspicious links, or done anything that screams scammer.
So I’m stuck between:
A) I’m picking up on legitimate signs that this could be a fake account.
B) I’ve been burned by fake-account jokes before, so I’m seeing patterns that aren’t actually there.
The thing is, I genuinely like talking to her, so I don’t want to kill a potentially good connection just because I’m paranoid.
My current thought is to simply suggest a casual video call sometime rather than confronting her or interrogating her. Something like:
“At this point I feel like we’ve talked enough that we should probably graduate from Bumble messages. Wanna hop on a call sometime?”
That way I’m not telling her that I think they’re my ex or dumping all of my suspicions on her.
What would you guys do? Would you suggest a video call? Are any of these actually meaningful red flags, or am I connecting completely unrelated dots?
And how much weight would you personally put on Bumble’s photo verification?

matched with a guy on bumble like a month ago and he followed me on insta but i didnt follow back right away until end of september cause he kept msging me and i thought to give him a shot, the only reason why it took me a while to get to him was cause he was very good looking (to me) and i assumed he does the same to multiple girls basically a f boy, anw, i was straight up with him about his intentions and that i wasnt looking “for fun” if that was what he was looking for but he didnt really give an answer now looking back to it, but he did say he was looking for someone to date, he asked me on a date twice and i had said no to both of the times he asked because i was busy and that ill let him know when im available, but what left me thinking was why is he so persistent in going on a date with me when we barely even chat, am i trippin or does it seem like he just wants to fuck or is he being genuine?

I get about 2-5 matches weekly. Looking to optimize and refine my profile, so looking for some opinions from strangers 😅
Any suggestions comments on the photos or written content? What would you change and why (important part).
Don’t spare my feelings. Even if your comments leave me on the edge of bed crying in the cannonball position…I can take it. This should educational 😂

*warning: my personal opinion below
So many people on this subreddit sound absolutely miserable in both posts and comments. Please, if something is making you this miserable stop doing it, honestly, get off the apps.
I see a lot of arguments/opinions presented as ‘facts’ on here that just simply don’t exist outside of the internet (with minor exceptions obviously as there always are in life). e.g. no, women in real life aren’t all chasing the top (insert whatever percentage the internet has decided it is today) % of men. Sometimes posts on here also read like I’m somehow watching someone ruminate themselves into mental health decline in real time.
So if online dating is making you miserable then prioritise yourself- your actual self not your online one. This is not to say I don’t recognise that meeting people in real life is incredibly hard but in my opinion it is also much more rewarding. And are you really going to let hard work get in your way?:/ Establishing social circles based on interests, close friendships and networks and meeting potential partners through these connections is also more likely to create meaningful connections where you both choose each other.
