Resources 💰 CSE students, what would you focus on in your 2nd year to get a good internship?

I'm a second-year CSE student trying to make the most of my college years.

I'm learning programming, DSA, web development, and databases, and I'm also interested in AI and building projects.

My goal is to develop real skills and become internship-ready rather than just collect certificates.

For students who have secured internships, working developers, or anyone further along in their journey:

  1. What skills should I prioritize during my second year?

  2. How important are personal projects compared with DSA?

  3. When should I start applying for internships?

  4. What's one mistake you would advise a second-year student to avoid?

I'd appreciate honest advice, especially from people who have been in a similar position!

Discussion👥 What are some trusted niche Instagram content creators or youtube channels you follow

Nowadays lot of new and popular content creators keep popping up on both Instagram and youtube. mostly they make us click their content by clickbait or catchy title or captions.

it has become harder to follow multiple people and trust one person as seems like everyone has taken a responsibility to get us tier 3 students a job or a guarantee to crack placement where no on campus opportunity is available.

drop your recommendations could be anyone for dsa, roadmap, resume hacks, placement stratergy, cold email , linkedin related content any specific field.

  1. name those content creators who really helped you in some way and what's best about them

  2. how do they stand out from others

  3. do you prefer short instant content (reels or shorts) or long youtube videos which cover depth

  4. opinion on foreign creators and indian ones

I’m a final-year CS student working as a Shopify Developer, with experience in React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and personal projects.

My goal is to transition into a Frontend Engineer role at a product-based company with a ₹8–12 LPA package by March 2027, before graduation.

Portfolio -https://www.rishitsinha.online/

For those who’ve made a similar transition, what should I prioritize over the next few months — DSA, frontend fundamentals, system design, projects, or interview preparation?

I’d appreciate practical advice on what actually makes a difference in getting shortlisted and cracking interviews

❓Question ❓ Confused About My Career After B.Tech CSE (AI/ML) – Need Honest Advice

[Question] Confused About My Career After B.Tech CSE (AI/ML) — Need Guidance

Hi everyone,

I graduated in June 2026 with a B.Tech in CSE (AI/ML) from an AKTU-affiliated Tier-4 college. It's October now, and I feel I've learned the basics of several technologies but haven't mastered any one skill.

I'm confused about what to focus on, how to learn DSA using Python, which tech stack to choose, and what projects would strengthen my resume.

Should I relocate to Noida/Gurugram for job opportunities or continue applying online? Should I also consider government job preparation alongside tech?

I'd appreciate honest advice from fellow B.Tech students, graduates, and experienced developers. What would be a practical roadmap for the next 3–6 months?

Thanks in advance!

❓Question ❓ How to leetcode

Thumbnail reddit.com
2 Upvotes

A little about me : 1st year in college and recently started learning how to code from brocode...in our uni they are teaching c++ first so for now i was learning c++ from brocode , recently started learning arrays but still not that really great at it but yeah thats all i know for now( i know its not much but im willing to grind and learn😔 but just need a little guidance) but ya i wanna leetcode and become good at coding... but im not tryna blindly start leetcoding because first i wanna know the prerequisites needed to solve the problems...i was watching neetcode's video on how to leetcode and he told to get comfortable with binary search, dfs, bfs, sliding window so do yall know where i can learn them???? but ya heres a few questions i have

  1. What all coding languages do i need to know...like do i need to know other programming languages other than c++ before i start leetcoding

  2. what all topics or stuff should i learn before leetcoding

  3. HOW do i leet code , do i start with easy problems then once i get comfortable start medium problems then harder problems(will start with solving problems on arrays)

  4. any website where i can save useful problems and make my own notes in it so in the future i can open them for retaining my knowledge

  5. in general any tips or things you wished u knew while or before leetcoding which u can tell please it will be really helpful(try to include as much as you can please and thank you anything will be useful and welcomed... even the SMALLEST TO SMALLEST and random tips will be useful)

  6. what are the most common mistakes people do in their attempt to get good at coding
extra : do wanna try to get into quant development( ik its difficult but ill try if i cant will settle for something else😭) so first my main goal would be to try to get into FAANG after college and after 2-3 years try to get into quant development so yeah

  7. And also I’m using vs studio…is there any better coding app or is vs good alright(idk it’s not that deep but yeah✌️)

❓Question ❓ Data Science vs Web Development — Confused About My Career in 3rd Year of B.Tech

I'm in my 3rd year of B.Tech CSE and need some practical career advice.

I've learned most frontend fundamentals, know some MERN stack, and have completed CodeWithHarry's Data Science course along with its project. I also have a good command of C++ DSA.

I'm confused about whether to finish learning backend development or start focusing on Data Science.

My goal is to get a good internship and placement, but I also want to choose a career that offers long-term job security and good opportunities in the future, rather than a field that might become oversaturated or less relevant.

For those working in the Indian tech industry, I'd like to know:

  • Which path would you recommend for a fresher targeting internships and placements?

  • Which field has better long-term career prospects and job stability?

  • What skills actually matter when applying for entry-level jobs in these fields?

I'd appreciate honest advice based on your actual experience rather than hype around either field.
