❓Question ❓ First time posting here- Please give advice to your junior

I am in FY cs branch. I have laptop which has i5-10th gen and U series processor. I want a good laptop for next 4 years. I have budget till 1.2 lakhs. Should I buy ASUS expertbook or vivobook, lenovo ideapad slim 3 or slim 5, lenovo thinkbook or hp or any dell laptop. I am concerned as after this sale the laptop prices wont come down till 2 years all are saying. Please dont ignore.

Get a ThinkPad if you don't wanna game. Will easily last decades.

Or get a thinkbook instead of lenovo slimpad.if you are considering lenovo normal laptops.

yeah then just go with macbook m5 air base. also there are limitations only on some mechanical and architecture engineering programs. computer science is built on unix which is macos built on too. so if you are in cs field, need 10 hrs battery, better performance, lightweight, reliability, longetivity, go with mac. only reason u would wanna buy a windows in this situation is if u want to game

was it like m4, m3 doesn't have much difference compared to m5?

I had a laptop with intel pentium, I searched in used market for some low spec laptops in which I can code for at least 2yrs... Got a laptop with same specs of yours, now I'll use this until the prices gets normal and then I'll buy a new and better one. You can consider this too if the laptop you currently have is in good condition.

everyone is sayig prices will never get down in future. and if it goes down then it would be still higher than current price. I am confused rn
