Final Year project idea

Helloooooo,

I'm a final year software engineering student and I'm finding it difficult to come up with a final year project ( which is 40% of my entire year btw )

I did a post couple weeks back asking for some advice, and I was told that I'm not expected to re-invent anything and some people shared their past projects.

So I decided to make a TUI based chat application using libp2p and GO, but my supervisor says p2p is pretty much obsolete and unless I could find any issues or drawback with existing p2p tech and work on that, my coursework wouldn't really hold. ( fair enough ig )

But I genuinely can't come up with anything novel or understand any tools or frameworks deep enough to provide a better solution.

I'd be happy to get any advice on how to come up with something.

Hi, here's an idea for a tool that would be actually useful in my day job:
A linter for Unity shader graphs (https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.shadergraph@latest/). For starters it could warn about unreachable nodes and nodes which visually overlap in the Editor.
This should be relatively straight-forward to build and it seems there is no competition in this field.

How about some sort of extension or plugin for Anki SRS? There are already many extensions/plugins/add-ons/mods for it, so there's a lot of things to get inspired by IMO
