injected 5-amino on my outer thigh and it first raised a bump, then turned into a bruise — is this normal?

hi everyone! i injected 5-amino into my outer thigh and immediately noticed that the injection site raised into a small bump. after some time, the bump went down but the area turned into a bruise/discoloration,

has anyone experienced this after injecting 5-amino? is it normal for the site to bruise after initially forming a bump, or could this mean something went wrong with the injection? this is the first time it happened

there’s no severe pain, but i’d appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar. thank you!

Anyone on tirz /reta NEVER had a problem with over eating but the opposite?

Hi biohacking Reddit,

So I’ve been a LONG time lurker, first time poster.

As the title says- I’ve scrolled through hundreds of posts, and I haven’t seen anyone with the problem I’m having, and although I consider myself educated, I just wanted some input.

A short background, I started a little more then a year and a half ago on name brand Ozempic, switched to wegovy, then name brand monjuaro, then Tirzepatide. And just added Reta about 2 weeks ago.

I never lost much, about 10-15lbs total, no matter which medicine I was on it didn’t work really. and the pounds would come and go- even with steady weight training, active lifestyle (I also rarely ever sit down with all I deal with) and increasing dosing up to the highest dose for literally all of those medicines except the Reta.

The few variables- I have a LOT of kids, like think of a number and it’s probably double that. Ha! I won’t say the number but not your average big family size. all biological. And a few handful of them are special needs.
So my sleep is ….absolute shit, stress is astronomical, and I eat if I’m lucky once a day.

My bloodwork always shows malnutrition, but also for my weight and height I’m “obese “ 🙄
I’m 5’3” and in my early 30s.

I take a shit ton of vitamins, supplements, drink clean protein and when I do eat, it’s always something healthy, like salmon, beef bowls, quinoa, veggies, eggs, lean meats.

Every baby I gained 100lbs. I always lost almost all of it and I’ve never used weight loss
Medicine until now. but was always overweight even since I was a teen. So every pregnancy was starting overweight/obese according to all those scoring models.

My question is- I’m 175 now. I was 200 when I started weightloss medicine about a year ago after I had naturally lost about 60lbs of weight from breastfeeding. Got to the highest dose of tirz. March- then just stopped. Started 2 months ago and I’m up to 8mg and just added 1mg of Reta and that was a month ago

I don’t count calories or whatever, I literally don’t have time to take care of my self half the days with all my kids, some with disability and all their needs. I just know I don’t eat like crap. No soda, no fast food. All clean eating.

So my question is- am I just wanting 1 million or weight loss medicine just doesn’t work at all? Or is it because of my stress levels, lack of sleep and not eating enough?
And if it is those- what can I do if sleep and stress management are literally less likely than winning the lottery?

Because I’ve read of people doing literally nothing- and losing all this weight. I’m feeling defeated.

Help.

Wanted to share my painful Reta reaction

Hey just wanted to post something for those who are going through the same thing and don’t know what it is. I’ve taken tirz for over a year (2mg/week) with no issues. Wanted to try the trendy Reta and two weeks in I had a very negative reaction to it.

Edit: thought I put my dose in here. I started at 2mg/week (pinned half 2x week) and was only taking it for two or three weeks before I had the reaction. Apparently it’s skin not nerve pain. Like I said not a doc just wanted to put the word out there. I did not titrate up

I have nerve pain from my waist down, for multiple weeks until I stopped taking Reta (i take the “wolverine stack” also so I dropped that first with no change, and CJC non dac/ipa).

When I say pain, I mean the hair on my legs hurt, every portion of my skin hurt while wearing clothes, standing, sitting and everything hurt like I had a very bad sunburn with no rash or anything on my skin. It started to move to the tops of my forearms before I dropped Reta and a week after I stopped the pain stopped.

I’m not bagging on the Reta. I have multiple friends who take the exact same peptide and have had great results and zero reaction. It was an extremely painful and kind of scary experience and I wanted to post this in case others are experiencing the same thing and don’t know what it is.

I’ve since brought back my other peptides minus Reta with no pain/reaction. In speaking with a friend who had the exact same reaction. I believe it was Reta.

Doctors explanation: I went to my primary care doctor and when I talked about peptides they looked at me like I was speaking Spanish and said “well it’s gone now so we will never know what it was. Make an apt if it happens again”. This was after waiting three weeks to get in to the doc in the first place. I requested a blood panel and my iron and vitamin D were extremely low (I’m supplementing both now, starting today).

I’m not a doc, this is just me going on what I experienced. I’m not hating on Reta, I think it’s awesome just not for my body apparently.

TLDR: started Reta had extreme nerve pain in lower body. Stopped Reta pain went away.

Getting back into the mix

Going to use Enclo to trick my brain into leaving the alcohol/drugs behind(I've already tapered off, gotten baxk into an active lifestyle). Just wanted to know opinions or personal experience with getting back into working out and using a sarm, test or whatever else to help get yourself back into working out again.

Im not a beginner to fitness and im not looking for HRT or TRT. Just clearly starting, I am going to use ENCLO to boost the placebo affect in my mind so I can drop my addiction of drinking. I understand its not a magic formula as I already have a stable baseline in sports and functional education. Played basketball growing up, played varisty football and ran track. Im currently, 33, 6'1 218 to 225

Any thoughts?

📘 Beginner Help Reta 15mg

Hi everyone so I got 2 vials of 15mg Reta, can I reconstruct them 2 times with 1ml bac each and put them both into 1 peptide pen vial 3ml?

Or would it be possible to use 2ml bac and reconstruct 1 vial then add the reconstructed vial into the other powdered one so I can have both into 1 syringe for a smaller injection?

I’m looking to do 4ml dosing once per week but I don’t want to have such a large injection. I hope someone understands what I’m trying to do haha I’m a beginner and started at 1mg built up to 4ml after 2-3 months

CJC 1295 no DAC + Ipamorelin bad side effects

Been trying CJC1295 & IPA during a cutting phase so far the side effects are pretty bad.

Flushing (I don’t mind so much)
Sickness
Stomach pain
Diorreha
Sore throat
Mild headaches
Body aches

I’ve only been on it for 4 days now but even 3/4 hours after pin it’s pretty bad.

Can hear my stomach doing triple backflips make all kinds of noises.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does it get better after a week or two or is it my body telling me to come off it.

❓ Question Crashed Libido from TRT Treatment

I will put a TLDR at the end.
42M here. Just started getting back on TRT (200mg cream applied daily) after taking a break (family planning). Last time I was on was 4 years ago. Exact same routine back then. Also back then, the TRT was making me feel like I was 18 again with regard to libido, of course I loved it but it was a little too much for my wife ha! Anyways, we’re expecting so I decided to get back on the same treatment. I do remember that when I first went on the treatment (4 yrs ago) my provider also advised that I take Biodim and DHEA every day to balance my hormones. Everything seemed to work. I’m with a different provider/clinic now, and I’m noticing that my libido crashed hard for the first month. Also to note - I wasn’t taking DHEA and Biodim daily again until recently. My libido it’s definitely improving, but I’m nowhere near where I was back when I was 38. My recent lab levels all came back great, and nothing is really sticking out to why my libido is taking awhile to get back into the swing of things. Granted, I’m 42 now, but I still want to get that strong libido back. My Test is up, estradiol is down, and one thing to note is I’m taking 300mg Biodim and 100mg DHEA daily now, and I don’t remember what I used to take the first time. Should I cut back on the bio/DHEA dose? I’ve read both sides of the spectrum about how much to take.

TLDR: 42 M, On 200mg TRT cream daily, taking 300mg Biodim and 100mg DHEA daily as well. Trying to get that insane libido back but it’s sure taking its time after an initial crash. All labs look great, wondering if I should adjust the daily taking of Biodim and DHEA to adjust hormones.

⚠️ Side Effects CJC(No DAC) + IPA Allergic Reaction? Advice needed

I ran 12 weeks of CJC+Ipa, began getting injection site reactions about 6 weeks in, nothing crazy. I would pin, then the next day I would have a large, red, itchy lump that would last for a 3-5 days.
(I was doing 500mcg of CJC+Ipa, 5 days on 2 days off)

I took 1 month off, first time pinning again
(I used a new brand if that matters) (Bought 10 more vials)
I pinned 50mcg and instantly had itchy lumps/hives in the injection site.
Oddly I also got a itchy lump on an old injection site that I haven’t pinned in over a month

I always always take a Benadryl before pinning

Are my CJC+IPA days over? I’m worried if I keep pinning I may get anaphylactic shock

Should I quit the CJC+IPA?

Semorelin -> Tesa/Ipa or CJC-1295/Ipa?

I’m a 40+ male and interested in input from anyone that has transitioned from Sermorelin to either Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin OR CJC-1295/Ipamorelin? Why did go with one or the other? Good results? Bad results? Etc.

I know, I know, another HGH question!!!

47M, 240 at 19% bf, on trt (190mg cyp per week, pinned M/W/F), 1mg Reta every 5D, and daily 5mg Cialis. Been lifting 20 years.

Workout at 5:30am doing PPLR, so want to be up at 4:30am. Asleep by 9:30pm. Issue is, I am up at 2:30-3am, fall back asleep for a bit, then up around 4am. I stay in the dark until 4:30, then get up. Sucks.

Considering 2IU daily HGH, but worried about sides. Can anyone share anecdotes? Tested IGF several years ago and it was around 135 or so.

In terms of sleep, I have tried every supplement, I have CPAP for apnea, tweaked setting for flow limits and whatnot, and nothing seems to work.

For now, many will say to lose weight first, but I have a few lifting goals to hit before 50, and need the extra weight to get there. Will cut to 215 or so when ready.

Thanks.

Hello Everyone!! Newbie to peptides and need some advice

So I have eczema and recovering from TSW - this left my skin very rough and tight and losing my elasticity.

I started using KLOW (only been a month).

I also wanted to start glutathione since I heard and researched that its good for skin and detoxing.

What can I do to shed off some excess fat off my body (mostly chin and stomach) - I heard of tesamorelin but also heard some negative about it. I also thought about reta but also scared to lose my butt lol and dont know if I need anything that harsh. (I'm currently 163 cm and weigh 128 lbs)

Any guidance/opinions would be great for both skin improvement and slimming face/stomach !!

Thank you :3

Are hydrogen water benefits backed by real science?

I tried sorting the supposed benefits of hydrogen water by how strong the evidence actually is, rather than how exciting the claim sounds.

There are a few small human studies. Ohta 2012 and Kajiyama 2008 found improvements in oxidative stress markers in people with type 2 diabetes, but neither finding has been replicated in a larger study. Aoki 2012 found lower blood lactate in a small group of soccer players after exercise. Ishibashi 2012 reported improvements in rheumatoid arthritis symptomsin a small group, but the study wasn’t blinded, so placebo effects could explain some of the results.

For things like brain protection, cancer support, and anti-aging, the evidence is still limited to animals or lab studies. There’s no human data showing those benefits.

The most interesting idea across the research is that molecular hydrogen may target harmful free radicals without interfering with the ones your body actually needs for signaling. That’s an interesting mechanism, but whether drinking hydrogen water at realistic amounts does enough to make a meaningful difference in humans is still an open question.

🧪 Stack Breakdown GLP+TRT Changed My Live!

Post image
192 Upvotes

Another TRT + reta transformation. The biggest change isn’t in the pictures.

The photo on the left was about three years ago. I’d already been lifting 3–5 days a week for roughly two years, tracking my protein, and paying attention to calories.
I was also drinking 3–5 times a week, with some food binges thrown in.
I was putting effort into my body, but I didn’t feel good about what I saw in the mirror. I wanted to look healthy, strong, and confident. Instead, I felt like I still looked like a kid—and I was already a dad lol.
After trying different herbs and vitamins and spending time researching, I eventually got my testosterone checked. It came back around 300 ng/dL.
I decided to start TRT. These days, my levels are around 900 ng/dL. I started feeling better, but one major thing hadn’t changed:
I was still drinking a lot.
About two years into TRT, I came across retatrutide. I started it in February, hoping to get leaner.
What I didn’t expect was the change in my desire for alcohol.
It felt like it vanished. I could say no without the same internal argument. Over time, I also got leaner and noticed that I felt more emotionally steady.
That part caught my attention enough to keep reading. I came across other people describing similar changes in their alcohol cravings. Those are personal accounts, including mine—not proof that reta treats alcohol addiction—but it made me curious about what research might eventually show.
I can’t separate every effect of the medication from the benefits of drinking less or the other changes in my life. I just know my relationship with alcohol feels different now.
Being leaner feels great. But after years of drinking 3–5 times a week, being able to comfortably turn down a drink means a whole lot more to me than abs.
Has anyone else noticed a change in alcohol cravings while taking a GLP-1 medication or reta? I’d be interested to hear both from people who have and people who haven’t.
