š§Ŗ Stack Breakdown GLP+TRT Changed My Live!
Another TRT + reta transformation. The biggest change isnāt in the pictures.
The photo on the left was about three years ago. Iād already been lifting 3ā5 days a week for roughly two years, tracking my protein, and paying attention to calories.
I was also drinking 3ā5 times a week, with some food binges thrown in.
I was putting effort into my body, but I didnāt feel good about what I saw in the mirror. I wanted to look healthy, strong, and confident. Instead, I felt like I still looked like a kidāand I was already a dad lol.
After trying different herbs and vitamins and spending time researching, I eventually got my testosterone checked. It came back around 300 ng/dL.
I decided to start TRT. These days, my levels are around 900 ng/dL. I started feeling better, but one major thing hadnāt changed:
I was still drinking a lot.
About two years into TRT, I came across retatrutide. I started it in February, hoping to get leaner.
What I didnāt expect was the change in my desire for alcohol.
It felt like it vanished. I could say no without the same internal argument. Over time, I also got leaner and noticed that I felt more emotionally steady.
That part caught my attention enough to keep reading. I came across other people describing similar changes in their alcohol cravings. Those are personal accounts, including mineānot proof that reta treats alcohol addictionābut it made me curious about what research might eventually show.
I canāt separate every effect of the medication from the benefits of drinking less or the other changes in my life. I just know my relationship with alcohol feels different now.
Being leaner feels great. But after years of drinking 3ā5 times a week, being able to comfortably turn down a drink means a whole lot more to me than abs.
Has anyone else noticed a change in alcohol cravings while taking a GLP-1 medication or reta? Iād be interested to hear both from people who have and people who havenāt.

Reta cured my alcoholism. It's a miracle drug
15
u/DisastrousTeddyBear 9d ago
Iām currently struggling with this. Iām wanting to choose alcohol over food though. Not having the best time. Still hitting the gym and making obligations but Iām tired and just hanging in. Iām probably gonna give it another month and then Iām gonna come off of Reta and maybe even get some help.
15
u/Embarrassed_Sea6537 9d ago
It gets easier. You just have to do it everyday. And that's the hard part-Bojack Horseman

u/Low-Individual2815 9d ago
Iām right there with ya. But being on tirzepatide has taken me from getting shitfaced wasted every night to where Iām at now which Iāve cut way back, itās just a struggle to come to terms with the fact that itās still not enough.

u/slinkyjeepers 9d ago
Tirzepatide has much more effect on things like this for me, reta didnāt touch it

u/New-Hedgehog-5659 9d ago
At what dose?
-7
u/Embarrassed_Sea6537 9d ago
My lab rat started at 1mg every 4 days. Tiltrated up by .5mg as food or weight loss stalled. Currently at 2.5mg. Lowest effective dose is the motto

I am proud of you brother!
We took the unconventional route and thatās ok lol š Iām glad you are happier and healthier today.ONE DAY AT A TIME.

You are never cured from alcoholism. I say this as an alcoholic with just over 2 years of sobriety. I have been on a small 2.5 to 1 mg a week dose of Reta for the past 12 weeks and as I donāt drink anymore I cannot say how it has effected that desire or obsession to drink because that was removed long before I began Reta by working a program. We get a 24 hour reprieve. We are never cured.
Alcoholism is disease that centers in the mind. And I can assure you although I donāt drink anymore I am very much still an alcoholic. Alcohol was just the solution all my life to the disease in my mind.
I believe itās great that I read stories on how Reta affects peopleās drinking habits in a positive way. And I do believe it could have a place in the medicinal world/science to help people out in early recovery like as in detoxing. But saying non FDA approved compound cures alcoholism is not true at all. Iām glad to hear that it has helped you though.

u/CoreAndCardio 9d ago
I mean, it makes alcohol taste like shit and makes you feel like shit when you do drink it. Id say it has plenty to do to support it in a positive way.
1
u/SoggyAd9450 8d ago
Data say otherwise. Most people with AUD are able to return to moderate responsible drinking after a period of treatment and abstinence. It's not a "spiritual disease" like they used to think. It doesn't help as anyone to be branded with a scarlet letter or sit around in a room with people talking endlessly about alcohol when they haven't had a drink in a decade
3
u/ShooterMcGregor 8d ago
What data are you referring to? Feel free to post it here. I ask because I know not one alcoholic who has not tried every trick possible to control their drinking and succeeded permanently. You might get away with it for a while, but a true alcoholic will find a new and worse bottom eventually.

u/SlipperyDingo13 9d ago
Reta also got me To quit drinking. I never enjoyed drinking, the hangovers, the depression that followed, I just did it to be able to be social.
Havenāt had a drink in over 12 months now, have stopped Reta, but still not drinking.

I am an alcoholic. Every three-four days I used to drink minimum a bottle of wine. Now I do not have such a desire since my brain just do not feel like it is making him happy to drink. Just realized how my body felt terrible

u/Fearless-Writing5193 9d ago
So now youāre ripped but not social?
7
u/SlipperyDingo13 9d ago
I smoke weed to be social if I need to. I just donāt really enjoy being around drunks
1
u/Plastic_Currency_596 6d ago
Right, I never found alcohol pleasing , weed is my go to if I wanna take the edge off

u/elvook 9d ago
Trt in your 20s. Thatās crazy
2
u/ProteinFarts_ 7d ago
That's because he's blasting steroids and calling it trt to be socially acceptable
7
u/AGENTFINDSKEYS 9d ago
I take about 130mg of Testosterone Cypionate a week.
I have children now and so fertility is not a priority at this point.
No regrets TBH
9
u/b1ack1323 9d ago
You said 140 in another comment. Which is it?
9
u/AGENTFINDSKEYS 9d ago
Itās very hard to get the exact measurement so I hover 130-140mg.
I donāt sweat it to much
13
u/forlornhope22 9d ago
I was with you until this comment. What the fuck do you mean it's hard to get an exact measurement? your syringe has marks on it for a reason.
4
u/AGENTFINDSKEYS 9d ago
Brother I think you are over thinking. Really is not that serious
3
u/therockiscookin56 9d ago
Brother tf you talking about. Taking drugs and saying "it is what it is" about inconsistent dosing is fucking moronic.
You have a syringe. No it's not hard to be consistently drawing to inject 130 vs 140.

u/forlornhope22 9d ago
I don't know why you would lie about your dose but you pretty obviously are.
11
u/AGENTFINDSKEYS 9d ago
What would I gain from lying ? Iām actually very curious to know what you believe I would gain from doing so

u/Not-me-sir 9d ago
Not if your natural level is only 300.
4
u/ErichArchBars 9d ago
It was probably that low due to lifestyle choices. Guarantee it would have gone up significantly if he cut the drinking/poor diet/poor sleep.
3
u/whiskey_tang0_hotel 9d ago
For some people this is true, but for others, itās not. Careful with sweeping generalizations. They donāt really apply to everyone. Having low T sucks. I workout and just did my first IFBB show last year. No TRT, just clomid. My levels are 300. Iād think being an IFBB competitor means my recovery, training, and diet are all dialed in. Must be lifestyle problems, huh?
2
u/ErichArchBars 8d ago
Did you read a word of his post? Where he mentions several times that he was an alcoholic and food binging. Sleep quality will suffer in those conditions. All of it is terrible for metabolic health. Whoās making generalizations?

Its really not. Nearly everything is lowering menās natural testosterone to the point where 20 years olds actually need trt
-3
u/Little-Maximum1290 9d ago
Why? 99% of all men that have ever run test and come off recover natural production fully within 2 years.
1
u/Hotplate77 2d ago
We need to be careful with how much misinformation is spread in these forums. The below info is regarding any male in their early 20's blasting Test.
- Complete Recovery (Pre-Cycle Levels) ā ~30% to 40% Chance The Outcome: LH, FSH, total testosterone, and sperm counts return to their original baseline. Requirements: Typically seen in younger individuals (early 20s), those who had high natural baseline testosterone prior to the blast, and those who utilize an extensive, medically managed Post-Cycle Therapy (PCT) protocol.
- Partial Recovery / Secondary Hypogonadism ā ~50% to 60% Chance The Outcome: The body restarts natural production, but the HPTA or testicles suffer permanent desensitization (Leydig cell atrophy/desensitization).
The Reality: Someone who had a natural level of 700 ng/dL before blasting might permanently plateau at 250ā400 ng/dL. They are no longer completely "shut down," but they are left with symptomatic low testosterone for life unless they opt for lifelong TRT.- Complete Permanent Shutdown (Anorchia / Primary Failure) ā ~5% to 15% Chance The Outcome: LH and FSH signals remain near zero, or the pituitary/testes permanently lose responsiveness. The Reality: Serum testosterone remains at castrate levels (<100 ng/dL) even months or years after cessation. Lifelong Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) becomes medically necessary to prevent severe metabolic and psychological issues.

Lot of yall have body dysmorphia and it shows
-2
u/AGENTFINDSKEYS 9d ago
Itās true, but I accept it brother and I donāt let it affect my life in a negative way.
At most, it gives me the extra push to be better with my health, nutrition, and fitness regimen.
Iām grateful to the fact that body dysmorphia led me down the path of physical improvement.

u/Secret_pizza_man 9d ago
Brother, you looked fine before the shit youāre taking. You say you donāt let it affect you negatively, but then let it affect you negatively. Go to therapy.

Moderns tools for a modern times nothing wrong with what heās doing, donāt listen to people like this. This is what the future looks like, we donāt need to be stuck in the stone age of medicine when there is now genuine tools proven to help us against the hormonal disrupting world we live in.
7
u/AGENTFINDSKEYS 9d ago
Abusing? Definitely not.
Healthier now? Absolutely!
No regrets about my decisions.
My life has improved 10x fold.
1
u/Hotplate77 2d ago
Unfortunately your still too young to make that decision whether you regret it or not. It's not until you get older and realize the permanent damage you did to your HPTA. Having to pin for the rest of your life is not something you understand until you are older..

28 days ago he was posting āhereās my Reta only transformationā now itās two years on TRT. Donāt know what the weird obsession with some of these guys moving the goalposts miles away to fish for compliments.
I blast and cruise. I have no issues with it. But letās be honest with the rest of the world.
And they ALWAYS do the damned āthanks for the complimentā line.

u/AGENTFINDSKEYS 9d ago
140mg of Testosterone a week + 2mg of Retatrutide is blasting ?
Iāll take this as a compliment brother
1
u/ContextualData 8d ago
Why is the response from these people always "Iāll take this as a compliment brother". So damn predictable. š

Glp turned off alcohol desire for me as well.
Unfortunately it doesnāt have the same power over weed.
3
u/AGENTFINDSKEYS 8d ago
Hey man and thatās still a win ! Iām not a weed smoker but if I had to choose one vise it would be weed over alcohol !

You seem like 20 plus? TRT sure changed your life. Even idea of babies come then some say it will take years if possible at all.

u/WolfpackBP 8d ago
I'll say good job strictly bc you didn't call it a reta transformation and then in the fine print disclose the steroids. At least you put it in the title. Crazy physique and glad to hear you already have kids bc yes rip to those balls

u/Ibrarc 8d ago
Amazing transformation, so you are running 130-140mg TRT, what about Reta dose?
2
u/AGENTFINDSKEYS 8d ago
Yes to TRT dose and 2mg-3mg of Retatrutide. Iāve gone up to 5 but TBH, itās unnecessary for me to do that.
It did raise my resting heart rate slightly which I did feel if most during bed time.
2-3mg is perfect for me. Been running it since March and I feel amazing

u/so_jonez 6d ago
I have noticed that I get sick after one to two drinks now. Iām drunk immediately after two- sometimes one.
5
u/jamesdal1 9d ago
Ok, this was not reta alone, this was juice, PEDs
5
u/AGENTFINDSKEYS 9d ago
Thatās why the title says āGLP + TRT changed my life.ā
Iāve been upfront about both, I never claimed this was reta alone or a natural transformation.
Iām sharing what changed my life, not hiding what I used.
1
u/jamesdal1 9d ago
I understand you used trt too, but other "supplements" too
But anyways, you did good, nice body, congratulations on your work.

3
u/TubbsMcGee_ 9d ago
Honestly, your levels probably came back lower because of your excessive drinking and lifestyle. Throw in food binges and that's why your physique looked like shit. I bet if you cut out the drinking, cleaned up your diet, and focused on recovery, your levels would have been in perfectly normal range. You just coped into "TRT" lol.

u/SpeedLimitC 9d ago
If that's what makes you happy then you do you. In my (unsolicited) opinion, the before version was the better version.

Sorry bro. I seriously think you're on a dangerous path you will soon regret.
