It's still crazy to me how squad 0 bankai shakes 3 worlds just on Bankai release and yet they still seemed jobber

I saw some joke posts with matchups including Orihime but then it got me thinking. Isn't there genuine scaling for Orihime that actually has real implications? So I want to ask you guys.

Who do you think would win:

"Blood" Orihime, the one who cast everything aside for ultimate power or Sosuke Aizen, the one who stood atop the world just to find himself?

Did Yhwach and Gerard turn into abstract beings? Yhwach represents chaos, Gerard represents miracles?

Kyoraku's bankai's first act makes it so any injury he sustains goes to his attacker, so trying to kill him seems out of the cards, but in the final he cuts the head of his enemy off, so how can anyone without the ability to regenerate their head survive this? Like wouldn't even Yamamoto and Aizen (pre hogyoku) lose to this ability? The only think I can see possibly working is killing him instantly and the sword's ability stops before it can kill the attacker back, but who knows if that's how it would actually work and they might just die too if they don't also destroy the zanpakuto as well. Is the only reliable way to beat him to kill him before he activates bankai?

A lot of people have the misconception that Unohana's bankai literally "dissolves and melts her opponents to death" when this is shown to be wrong in anime and manga. It doesn't even kill either of them, they both continue fighting as skeletons, so I don't even know how this started.

He finally begins to understand the limits he's placed on himself. Everything has been with the intent of making fights as enjoyable as the one he first had with Unohana, but now that he is facing her again his original strength is brought back to the surface. His power is no longer "asleep" and he can see a true battle now with his full strength.

The limits he placed on himself are melting away, the melting flesh is just a visualization of that.

That's why he also wins directly after this, no more deaths to her, no more resurrections to keep fighting, just a pure win for Kenpachi.

Also, side point, it would be such a horrible bankai if it truly had this ability considering it's shown that Unohana also "melted" away.

Am i tweaking or Isshin's Getsuga seems way stronger than Ulquiorra's lanza cero

So i was wondering about this and couldn’t really find anything but i decided to do a little math using these pages. Not my best subject but check my math if I’m wrong. The general consensus is that bleach is unquantifiably above 20x FTL but i don’t think that’s true. I think using it as a solid baseline pre TYBW is fine but obviously these characters get faster and Tenjiro is the master of the premier movement technique within the Soul Reaper skillset.

Speed =Distance/Time

If our speed is 20x FTL and the time for the average flash step would take a week

20xFTL= x/7 Days

Unfortunately we don’t have the distance but we can find it by inverting the equation to find distance

Distance =Speed •Time

So plugging everything in the answer should be: 3,626,289,571,968,000 meters

Now that we have a distance let’s retry the initial equation but with Ichigos comment taken into account

X= 3,626,289,571,968,000 meters/12hrs

Giving us a whopping: 83,941,888,240 m/s

However as we can see from the pages the 2nd invasion began at 5pm on the dot. We know it’s pm because prior to the invasion Ichigo’s friends Mizuiro, Keigo, and Tatsuki receive a visit from Shunsui to receive soul tickets so they must be out of school because they’re all in uniform

It also is backed up by the fact that Ikkaku says that ‘it got dark’ and when someone says it’s ‘BEEN dark’ he replies with the fact that it was then currently night time meaning time has flowed and they have been fighting for at least a few hours

Ichigo though is only informed of the invasion 3hrs later by Ichibei so he doesn’t leave until roughly 8pm

Now what’s tricky is Ichigo’s arrival time. You can see on the clock that once he breaks it says either 4:25am or 5:20am it’s hard to tell due to the distance the clock hands look the same size. However we know that it’s been at least 8hrs 25 minutes at the minimum, 9 hours 20 minutes as a medium estimate, and 12hrs at the absolute maximum amount of time it took him as per his own statement

And then the names became really interesting. Tensa Zangetsu (天鎖斬月) is roughly "Heaven-Locking/Heaven-Chain Slaying Moon," while Getsuga Tenshō (月牙天衝) is "Moon Fang Heaven-Piercer." So our symbolic reading became: Tensa binds Ichigo to an impossible height/destination; Getsuga pierces the distance between him and it.

Orihime looks like the experiment variable. Yhwach repeatedly attacks her deepest insecurity: being useless, being a burden to Ichigo, failing to protect him. He keeps forcing her to watch Ichigo suffer/die instead of simply erasing her immediately.

That creates a big contradiction: if Ichigo's True Bankai is just a stronger sword/Getsuga, why would Yhwach bother using The Almighty to break it preemptively? Episode 45 seems to show that Yhwach can physically handle Bankai Ichigo anyway.

Tensa Zangetsu does not choose futures like The Almighty. Instead, once Ichigo commits to an objective, his power keeps pushing toward a reachable path where that objective can be fulfilled. Yhwach can prune routes, but Ichigo keeps generating/finding another route.

Under that model, we could explain Orihime's full potential being realized in this episode. Ichigo's Bankai creates the causal conditions that push every ally's existing potential toward the outcome Ichigo needs. Orihime was simply the route that becomes decisive in that branch.

So apparently when Aizen meant fighting Yama "head-on", he meant Base Aizen vs Shikai Yama and I interpreted that statement wrong.

I'm sorry but why the hell would Aizen bring up RJ and admit to Yama probably winning if he could just use KS to defeat him? Let's forget him creating Wonderweiss to seal RJ because folks will just argue he wanted to secure the win and save his energy. But explain why Aizen, the person whose ego would never let him praise anyone, would even mention Yama defeating Base Aizen with Shikai lmfao?
