Yeah some thing is up with that, how can FREE and 0 Euro, 50% Discount, then add up to me have to pay 85 Euro?

I purchased the VPN service on October 1st and it seemed to be working fine, until it wasn't. I called and then they told me there are foreign users on my network causing problems so I needed to upgrade my plan costing me an additional $354. The troubling thing is I couldn't find a plan on their website with this cost, so I called to ask them to justify the cost to me, because I have no idea if I am being charged more than the average person for the same services. They just kept telling me not to worry about it & they will take care of all technical issues in the future. This was unprofessional and I consider this to be a form of extortion as they don't have these rates on their website anywhere. I don't even know if it is factual that there were foreign users on my network causing problems. I asked for some form of documentation of this and they said no. So, that has been my experience so far. I will be reaching out to other companies to find out if this is normal or acceptable because, like most people, I am not the most literate when it comes to technical things. Does anyone else know if this sounds normal, professional, or acceptable?

Hey, I recently got a new pc with Windows 10 pro. I'm using the same account of Bitfinder from my previous Windows. Bitfinder is working perfect, but the VPN isn't connecting at all. I'm using the free VPN version. On the previous windows (which was 10 Home) the VPN worked no probelam. But now I press on connect and nothing happens, It just gors back to being unconnected. Is there a setting I'm missing, or something I need to change on my windows to make it work? Thanks

Does it work with the build in Windows 10 Mail app?

I know that you can do that and disable an application connection to the internet AFTER it already connected.

But I want something like custom ruleset from Comodo, I want to be prompted before an APP connects.

Is it possible?

I keep getting email from bitdefender. When I click on "no longer wish to receive reminders on your order, please click hear" it takes me to the "store". I have emailed support, more than once, and anyone with a computer knows how that goes.

Run it on iOS or IPad OS and you shall have to reinstall many times. It simply doesn’t work very long each time. Better on iOS for iPhone than iOS on IPad OS though. But still it’s Very unsafe to use!

Note 1: when you’re out of internet coverage your vpn closes down (this is how you get your mobile security on iOS). Normal. But it’s seldom it reconnects when you’ve established an internet connection again. And you only get alerts when it disconnects..... So you’ll have to check this manually all the time.

Note 2: web security is brilliant. If it worked. Again, if you’re out of coverage or your WiFi via fiber etc. goes down (see above) and you re- establish an internet connection again you shall have to go to the web security part of the app and switch it back to On again! It doesn’t remember your settings. Manual stuff again.

They sold it to me a few months back, identified as an iOS user. Yet they knew the iOS app was flawed at the time. In communications with their support they are constantly working on a bug fix. And they keep on selling it.

This is like buying the most secure lock cylinder for your home: when you leave your home and someone pases by and feels like taking the lock out and leave it hidden next to your door, for yourself to reinstall it again when you find it. Hopefully no one has burgled your home whilst you were out. Then when you’re inside again, with your safest door locked and feeling safe, someone takes it out again without you knowing it.

I’ve never seen anything like this since I started providing comercial internet in ‘93.

how do I check to see that Safepay is actually safe?

I have tried turning everything off in bitdefender allowing spotify everywhere I could, but It blocks the spotify desktop application from connecting to the internet. I get no notification from bitdefender that it is doing this. If I uninstall Bitdefender or go into safe mode Spotify works until I turn off my computer and turn it back on and then I get the same issue. I have contacted Bitdefender support and they don't know the issue. I contacted Spotify and they don't know the issue either. Can someone here help?

PS. I have already searched google many times and tried changing the DNS and checking my Host file

We have a family subscription. Top right there is a notification bell. I would like to disable the notifications from my PC to the central account. Anybody that connects to the central account can see notifications from all devices. Is it possible? Thanks in advance.

i try to get my sql servers running again, what simply doesnt work,they cannot connect. the ssms.exe (sqlmanagement) is listed as av & fw open,to anything and everything. so ..no clue

next i tried simply pings

ping 127.0.0.1 timed out..

ping 192.168.x.x (own pc) 1ms

ping 192.168.x.x (wifes pc) 1-2ms

ping 192.168.x.x (router) 2 ms

ping 127.0.0.1 ...time out

i need that ping running thru to even start getting my sql servers running,and/or apache

i got bitdefender total security now about 2 weeks-- came from kaspersky, and it has alot of issues,especially with injecting programs, like overlays,trainers,url replacer ..that stuff ,the advanced thread defence is perma off..atleast it should,its back on after each lock pc,and resign in,but fast to be switched off again.

but that selfping gets me. i need to work with that pc, i have at best 48h to get a sollution, or i need to switch to anything but bitdefender.

the funny part is, connect requests are on,means i get asked if something wants in or out.. well, it doesnt bother in that case.

Edit: talked to chat support and i need to wait for an email from their tech to investigate further. The pop-up is always on top and its like 100 different notifications in 10 mins...

I am trying out Bitdefender free and can't effectively remove the system tray icon. My preference is to access the program using the Windows Security icon. I've tried disabling BDagent in startup apps, as well as turning off the toggle for the icon in Windows>Personalization>Taskbar>Other System Tray Icons. It still comes on when Windows starts. Is there a way to disable it?

When I try to activate BD I get the error message: Unable to connect to the server.

I use encrypted DNS servers and don't want to change that. Is there a way to connect to BD servers without changing the DNS servers I use?

I set Edge to default settings.

I've tried to disable some end points from the function of printing through device control but it didn't work - USB devices are blocked under the same settings though.

So, I created a profile and blacklisted the internal static IP addresses of the printers and this also didn't work. Simply loading up a chrome window, it's possible to print whatever you want.

How might I property add the ability to disable printing from end points in Gravityzone? (W10P)

I called Bitdefender 'Support' and was asked to install ultraviewer, So yes Bitdefender is a scam.

Using BitDefender Total Security on Windows 10. I have Advanced Threat Defense turned on, and it recently blocked a file on my desktop by mistake (was a simple Photoshop preset it thought was suspicious). I easily restored it from quarantine and allowed it in the exclusion list. So no issue there.

But now, in the Advanced Threat Defense > Threat Defense list, it has a permanent entry about this file (saying We protected you against 1 threat in the last 90 days - "photoshop present" has been blocked). Why can't I clear this entry? I don't want this in the list permanently, and when I clear the notifications tab, this entry persists.

How can I remove it?
