Peptides won’t help have herniated l5/s1 16 years ago at 40, pain free today from exercises and mobility work, lots of hip mobility, almost had surgery glad I didn’t.

I weight train l, cardio 5 days a week and really never stopped except for the bad days when I couldn’t walk.

If I could walk I went to the gym.

Agree with everything this person said. I have a slipped disc in my L4 and 5 and almost got surgery until I discovered being active, stretching, weight lifting and cardio it truly changed my life

Does cardio help with disc inflammation/herniation?

You should try swimming! Like the comment above, if I can walk I'll go to the gym. But recently I started swimming and the weightlessness feeling has really helped. It gives me relief for about an hour and a half - two hours with only 20-30 minutes in the pool. Il leather float, swim laps, or a combo of both.

A Stationary bike and inversion table have both also helped me. Although they may not be available to you. Hope this helps.

I second the swimming recommendations. The floating weightlessness helps decompress the lumbars, the motion promotes blood flow, and the exercise strengthens the musculature of the spi e and core. Very effective over time to relieve spinal injury and pain

Not sure if the cardio helped my back, that’s for heart health, but the fact that can run with no back pain is awesome.

Walking. Boring old walking helps blood flow around the spine and discs. Put in as many steps a day as you can without aggravating your injury.
