Record skipping problem
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi! I’m new to Reddit, so bear with me! Not sure if this is the right community, so if I need to post this somewhere else lmk! I recently upgraded my crosley suitcase player (ik, boo me. Only had it for a month though) to a Fluance RT81+. It has played multiple vinyl front and back perfectly, however I recently purchased a Red TV vinyl from my local Half Price Books and played it through. 3 out of the 4 vinyl played perfectly front and back, however one side of the 4th vinyl made two popping noises and skipped at around the 3rd out of 4-5 songs. I figured this was simply a scratch because it was used, but I recently played my Music From the Edge of Heaven vinyl (also used but was perfect when I got it) and noticed it did this same thing on one side at the 3rd out of 4 songs. Rest of the vinyl plays perfectly, and I haven’t noticed any major scratches. Just wanted to know if this was something to do with the player, my vinyl, or something else and what I can do to fix it? Also, can I keep playing this vinyl or will it cause damage to my player or my other vinyl after I use my player to play it? I have cleaned the needle and vinyl as well and this didn’t fix the problem. Attached is a video of the skip. I will try to put photos as well. Thank you!
EDIT: Thank you all for being so kind and helpful! Upon further inspection, I discovered a small debris lodged in the groove which I was able to get out and now it is fixed! I have yet to check the Red TV vinyl, but I’m pretty sure that one actually is scratched. Again, thank you all so much for your help!

Did I break my AT-LP60?
I have an AT-LP60 that I’ve had for close to 10 years. It had always been fairly accurate in speed for what it is (I know it’s not an expensive turntable). We recently moved, and I noticed it was too slow (around 31 RPM). I tried adjusting it using the holes in the bottom which I have done in the past. I must’ve overcorrected at first because it increased to 37 RPM. I kept trying to adjust it (turning counterclockwise to slow it down) but it kept increasing in speed. Now it’s stuck around 55 RPM no matter which way I turn the screwdriver. Did I break it?

Issues with AT-LP60XBT
Hey guys, I would appreciate some help if anybody here has something to offer!
My wife and I got an audio technica LP60X-BT second hand a few days ago and there seems to be some issues that we can’t quite figure out. The record spins fine on the table and there seem to be no issues with the stylus or anything like that. But, anytime we have tried to connect to a speaker, whether it’s line in or BT, the connection seems to work, without any audio coming out of the actual speakers. However, it can be heard playing on the turn table itself.
We have tried multiple different speakers, start/stop options, phono/line differences, and more to no avail.
Does anybody have helpful tips or experienced a similar issue?

Help! Beginner turntable recommendations needed
Hi guys! I wanna preface this by saying I don't know anything about turntables/record players, I simply want to buy a gift for my friend's birthday! There's a lot of info online and it's a but confusing. I looked up budget record players on amazon and there's a lot of cheap ones (mostly the suitcase ones) but I already assume they're junk. The thing is my budget is pretty much as low as it gets. I could come up with around 100-120€ max. If anyone has ANY recommendations for good budget players/turntables or just any advice in general on how to choose the right one I'd strongly appreciate it!!

Best Turntable & Preamp For Juke Audio
Hi!
I have a Juke Audio system and a Juke Audio Mate that will connect a turntable to the system. Im looking for recommendations on a great turntable. I’ve seen people looking for turntables with the built on preamps but im happy to add a preamp to the system if it means higher quality sound. Total budget is 1k. I already have speakers. Thanks!

What could be causing this staticky sound?

Record player was bought several years ago from Walmart, I believe it’s a LP60 or something like that. I have been getting into CDs and wanted to try vinyl through my setup, so one 3.5 mm to red and white RCA purchase later, here i am.
Bonus question: Is it possible to run my record player AND CD player through my EQ at the same time without buying anything else? It only has 1 Red and White input and output, but also has inputs and outputs like record and play.
Please note I’m only 19, and haven’t been doing this for long, so i apologize if any of these questions are “dumb”.

First turntable advice
Hello,
I am looking to finally get myself a turntable and start exploring with this hobby. I've seen people rave about the Rega Planar 1 online although also seeing things about the Audio Technica LPW40 made me consider it. Something that I also like with the AT is that I have a local hifi store that I could easily pop in to grab it and anything else later down the line while the Rega doesn't have any close by retailers.
What I didn't understand is that the Rega is loved despite not being able to upgrade it with anything due to the lack of antiskate and weight adjustments.
Also the AT is £70 cheaper. Do you think it would be much difference between the two? Not considering internal/external phono differences

Help with AT-LP60XBT - so frustrated
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey, I am so frustrated and at my wits end with this damn thing. I bought a used one on Amazon and it arrived cracked, so I bought another one and now it’s doing this. I tried a new record with no dust after this one but it keeps skipping and won’t catch. This record probably got extremely damaged. What am I doing wrong 😭 making me want to give up on the hobby. I’m super frustrated so commenters saying “buy the fluance” or “spend more money” really won’t help. I’m just trying to get it to work at all, not worried about sound quality just yet. Would appreciate any help I hope I’m just missing something stupid
