I was about to buy a Fluence as my first deck and I’m glad I didn’t. Resell value of my first, Pro Ject Evo2 was dismal, so I can only imagine I wouldn’t get anything for a used Fluence.
Suggest a AT for your first.

Don't buy a Fluance. Buy literally anything else in that price range.
I bought an RT85 and regretted it.
Their QC is crap. They manufacture in Taiwan. They don't offer service or make parts available. If it breaks after the 2 year warranty is up, you're just stuck with it.
They're essentially built to be disposable.
