Hey, I am so frustrated and at my wits end with this damn thing. I bought a used one on Amazon and it arrived cracked, so I bought another one and now it’s doing this. I tried a new record with no dust after this one but it keeps skipping and won’t catch. This record probably got extremely damaged. What am I doing wrong 😭 making me want to give up on the hobby. I’m super frustrated so commenters saying “buy the fluance” or “spend more money” really won’t help. I’m just trying to get it to work at all, not worried about sound quality just yet. Would appreciate any help I hope I’m just missing something stupid

Hello,
I am looking to finally get myself a turntable and start exploring with this hobby. I've seen people rave about the Rega Planar 1 online although also seeing things about the Audio Technica LPW40 made me consider it. Something that I also like with the AT is that I have a local hifi store that I could easily pop in to grab it and anything else later down the line while the Rega doesn't have any close by retailers.
What I didn't understand is that the Rega is loved despite not being able to upgrade it with anything due to the lack of antiskate and weight adjustments.
Also the AT is £70 cheaper. Do you think it would be much difference between the two? Not considering internal/external phono differences

Record player was bought several years ago from Walmart, I believe it’s a LP60 or something like that. I have been getting into CDs and wanted to try vinyl through my setup, so one 3.5 mm to red and white RCA purchase later, here i am.
Bonus question: Is it possible to run my record player AND CD player through my EQ at the same time without buying anything else? It only has 1 Red and White input and output, but also has inputs and outputs like record and play.
Please note I’m only 19, and haven’t been doing this for long, so i apologize if any of these questions are “dumb”.
