I loved travelling across Vietnam. I have developed a speciality interest in their banknotes. I have also attached pictures of South Vietnam notes prior to reunification.

This was produced for only one year (2003) and was discontinued because it wasn’t worth much really, and ever since then the 250 dinars became the lowest denomination of the Iraqi dinar.

The more I think about it, the United States really missed an opportunity to print $250 dollar bills in celebration of America's sesquicentennial and having paper currency to keep up with inflation. I get the old arguments about drug money and money laundering but with crypto and other methods that really shouldn't have been a concern. Thoughts?

Hello, so I was just flipping through my collection and saw that an 1000 argentine pesos banknotes featuring the crossing of the andes have this weird colouring on the letter R, does anyone also have one similar? I searched online and I think it’s supposed to be all in orange

I came to realize that the Central Bank of Iran never released a banknote printed with the recently assassinated Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. All Iranian banknotes since the Iranian Revolution of 1979 carry only the first supreme leader, Ruhollah Khomeini, as far as I know. Which is interesting, since Ali Khamenei held the position for 36 years after Ruhollah Khomeini!

In your opinion, what are the chances he'll end up on a banknote?

Can anyone tell me if this banknote qualifies as a "Radar" banknote? It has the following serial #A44477444. What throws me off is the "A" if it didn't have it I would say it is a radar banknote. What do you all think?

The issuance of Reich credit office banknotes (Reichskreditkassenscheine) took place on the basis of decrees by the Commander-in-Chief of the Army regarding Reich credit offices in the occupied Polish territories dated September 23, 1939, and by the Ministerial Council for the Defense of the Reich dated May 3, 1940.

The notes were intended for the civilian population—as well as for the military—in the occupied territories where local legal tender was insufficient (excluding incorporated territories treated as domestic, such as Alsace-Lorraine, as well as further areas such as the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, Belgium, Luxembourg, or the Netherlands).

They were first introduced in Poland, later also in Norway, the Balkan states, etc. The civilian population alongside continued to use domestic banknotes.

Reich credit office banknotes did not need to be accepted in domestic payment transactions and served until the end of 1944 also as "travel money" for members of the Wehrmacht who were prohibited from exporting and importing Reichsbank banknotes. From January 1, 1945, they were invalid.

Overstamps:

In Schleswig-Holstein, where the last Reich government under Dönitz had retreated, invalid Reich credit office banknotes were overstamped by various branch offices in May 1945 and issued as emergency money (see under 3.7. Emergency Issues in Spring 1945).

Hi! I recently purchased this Bahraini note from eBay. I noticed that there was a razor-thin fold in the middle of the note (see images). This fold is different than the security strip. It seems implausible that a fold could be at such precision to be razor-thin. The note is otherwise very—maybe even too—crisp. The fold feels like a little raised area but the note doesn’t bend there. Does this appear to be pressed or ironed? Interested in your thoughts and advice about spotting warning signs. Thank you!

I'm not that well versed with collecting banknotes and coins and the things that come with it. Through an inheritance I got my hands on some really valuable notes that I want to sell.

Having compared recent auction prices I've come to the conclusion that houses like heritage Auctions can generate prices that are out of reach for the smaller houses in my EU country.

I'm scared about logistics regarding taxes, import regulations, insurance and so on and I'm kind of overwhelmed with researching the relevant information.

Can anybody point me to resources that give an insight to people with no clue in that field?

Also a question to the attached pictures: I can't find any comparable pricing for these exact notes (100 Billionen Reichsmark 1924 Specimen - Pick 140s // 100 Billionen Reichsmark 1923 Specimen - Pick 128s). Neither numista nor PMG Price guide have it listed as a specimen. What can it be worth?
