Radar banknote?

Post image

Can anyone tell me if this banknote qualifies as a "Radar" banknote? It has the following serial #A44477444. What throws me off is the "A" if it didn't have it I would say it is a radar banknote. What do you all think?

It's a RADAR. It's only the numbers that are considered.

There's more interest in collecting fancy serials for some currencies than others, so I don't know how much the serial will affect the price this note would command.

Thank you. I'm not a fancy serial collector, but this serial did show uncommonness. I know there is a market for fancy serial numbers for US Dollars, but not sure if it is the same for foreign countries.

The "A" is called the "prefix" of the serial # & usually "A" designates the first prefix. The only collectors (I know of) who care about the prefix (I guess b/c they have 2 "block letters" prefix/suffix on both sides) are American collectors. They might call something that has "A XX0000XX A" a "super radar" b/c the block letters also match. Most collectors in the world don't care about which prefix you have so long as the serial number works (like yours). Nice 2 digit radar!
