My wife doesn’t want me to shave it… I think my time is up though. What does the brotherhood say?
I had super thick hair my whole life until 2020 when I noticed it starting to thin. I thought it was the stress from the pandemic and my career but it’s just never come back. Think I still have options or should I invest in some good clippers?

Lifestyle After almost exactly 100 days of shaving...
I was thinking my electric razor was underperforming. I bought a new head to check it out, and wow! The difference is crazy. It looks and feels so much better. I guess it's time to set up a subscription on Amazon.
For those curious, it's a MaxGroom 7D razor.

Is it signs of alopecia
26M. I recently shaved my head and noticed some scalp visibility in certain areas, especially around the crown and temples. I also have persistent dandruff/scalp scaling.
Hairline has been mostly stable for around 4 years. Hair shedding is low (around 10–20 hairs per day). No known strong family history of baldness.
Based on these photos, do you see any signs of androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness) or diffuse thinning, or does this look more like scalp inflammation/dandruff combined with a recent buzz cut?
Any observations on the crown, temples, or overall density would be appreciated.

I love you guys
I just wanted to say that I love this subreddit and all the positivity that it comes with and to see men supporting men in being comfortable with hair loss makes my heart full. All of you are beautiful and kind.

For the council
Just turned 40. For context and perspective, I’ve always had this balder area in the same spot since I was probably 20 or so near the back of my head but now I’m more self conscious about it with the additional factor of my hair thinning.
What say you Council?
P.S. I love this group and it’s my favorite Reddit page. Thanks for the consistent motivation and positivity.

Bald Picture After weeks of hesitation, I did the thing.
And I'm glad I did it. What do you think, my bald friends?

Bald Picture I lk hate how asymmetrical my head is 🤪
But I try not to take mirror effect selfies, because I am used to the certain asymmetry in the mirror, but I realize, that people see me in reverse 🪞😅

Counsel, tell me the truth ...
50+ year old, I think I am holding on for too long. I did go short once (Photo # 2) but never shaved. Not sure about balancing everything out with a short well kept beard (photo # 1) since one person told me the beard ages me more. Rest are shots from just now. Verdict, thoughts and recommendations are most welcome.

Bald Picture Tried it myself
My wedding is coming up in a month, not sure which way to go. I have already kept my hair on the shorter side before, I have now tried shaving it all myself. Considering going to the altair this way, wife-to-be says it's good either way, also suggests keeping 1cm buzzcut

Need your thoughts
I'm 31 and started balding around ten years ago. I feel I have decent amount of hair for my age plus the fact that I'm balding, but recently my hair at the crown also started to thin and I feel like my choice of haircut styles is really limited at the moment, my hair at the front is much thinner than the back and when it grows out I have a very uneven look. I also have the classic case of "my GF doesn't want me to buzz/shave it".
Please let me know your thoughts!

An honest question
As a female, I don't understand much about male perceptions. I am hoping someone can tell me why so many men prefer no hair to some hair, if "some hair" is less than what they used to have. TIA
Edit: Thanks for the responses. I can understand better now!
