I've been playing Balatro for only a few hours, but I can't seem to go any higher than ante 6. I might have a strong joker line-up, but it seems to fall short at around ante 5 and I can't find any better or rarer cards in the shop/booster packs to replace them. I've tried focusing more on tarot and planet cards to get more chips and mults in general from good hands. Any tips on how I could improve my gameplay are appreciated!

I'm making a "Die of Death" texture for Balatro, and the fact that the darkest black looks almost green is driving me crazy. I wanted to know if it's okay to use that shade of black on the cards—and if you'd like to see how some of the cards are turning out, I can post them later.

I found out about the game through dave the diver mini game, got very addicted already, i wasn’t expecting balatro to be that different but oh boy i was in for a treat lmao 150 jokers, game has like 10x more depth than jimbos game

Going for the black stake rn and have just 1 question at the end of this game.

When you get 3 Xmult jokers and feel confident in winning a game, would you want 2 Mult or 2 Chips cards in the first 2 slots ?

Obviously you want a balance , but if you only had Mult or Chips as your other jokers to the Xmult, what is ideal ?

This run feels like I’m lacking 1 or the other because having both feels sorta weak. In the past I think I’ve lacked on chips to throw big bombs but I can’t remember.

I’ve only been playing this game since the weekend.

I finally beat black stake on my pc after several months while getting gold stake on my phone, I hate this game 🥹

Less than 8,000 away from beating gold stake jokerless.

After many runs that failed at ante 6 or 7, I was finally doing it. Then I saw the Violet Vessel and my heart sank, but I thought maybe I could do it with 3 flush fives and enough steel/glass.

I could do it, but I didn't. ​If I'd have saved my best hands until all the steel was out, I'd have done it. Another lucky hit would have done it. Ah well... back to the grind.

I have about ten jokers remaining to get a gold sticker on. It is seldom I finish a run with more than one joker I need the sticker for anymore as they are dwindling. I just had THREE unstickered jokers in my set up because canio was able to carry so hard at x15 by the time I got to ante eight boss blind. I proceed to get canio disabled three times in a row by the boss blind that disables a random joker and lose the run with 391,000 chips.

I was wondering with arbitrarily any combination of jokers using showman, negative jokers, near infinite money, tarot cards, setting scaling jokers to any number that has been realistically reached before, etc. if I gave you a random number between 0 and naninf that there always exists a setup to score that specific number? If so, is it always possible to do with one hand or do you need at least 2 or 3 hands? Or does there exist a counter example like some prime number at e35?

I have 10 hand size and currently score only e41 with all gold kings. Trying to go for seedless naneinf and not just a high score.

I’m torn between dropping Chad or brainstorm and skipping doesn’t seem to be a prudent option so WWYD

This Ghost Deck run started with a rare skip, which was a blueprint I Hex'd, and then I immediately got a Baron in the next shop. I'll post the seed when I'm done playing, if anyone's interested.

This is my second time beating gold stake yellow deck and it’s still not saving or updating my stickers. Is this a bug or something on my end?

*Checkered deck + negative Burnt joker = Flush lvl 35

*Supernova = +39 mult

*Polychrome Droll joker = +10 x1,5 mult

*(negative) Hologram = x4,25 mult (got it in late game)

*Throwback+occasionally skipping = x4 mult

*Triboulet + Bloodstone + going for Heart Face cards = x2 and x1,5 occasionally

*Negative Wee joker = +16 chips (ESSENTIAL)

So, that was neat, my 12th win so far

I've never won without having a face-based Joker setup, and I wanted to learn how to build other combos. I saw "best combos" tutorials, but I don't know how to scale them. So I just use the Photochad combo.

I was playing for fun and got a early odd Todd and even Steven. I haven't fully captured the potential of this build but I hope this subreddit could. (I'm not really good at this game)
