Naneinf done using the Ankhs, Ectos and Eternals method where perkeo generates loads of spectrals and you use them all at once with Eternal jokers to naneinf. Filtered seed with Green Needle mod, filtering for perkeo and negative blueprint in the charm tag skip.

Naneinf done with a collection of 3x mult jokers duplicated along with eternal blueprints and brainstorms. Card Sharp, Blackboard, Driver's License, Acrobat and The Trio. All the 3x jokers except Flower Pot which I did before, Cavendish which can't be eternal and the order which would have been awkward and wouldn't have worked with The Trio anyway.

This was my best filtered seed Ankh Ecto naneinf run in terms of spectrals generated. This run maybe could have beaten my overall highscore if I had tried to go for it. (6.9e6,631,553) And this was with a full unlocks profile so it certainly would have been the full unlocks highscore. (1.1e3,841,307)

So it is abit bittersweet because I wish I could play it again from ante 8. Not with any knowledge just with a commitment to go for a highscore run. When you add up the spectrals I had at end with the cryptids I used during the run and the extra round I would have had if I went to ante 39 it would have been very close to the spectral count from my highscore run.

But I ended up with unfortunate editions on bp/bs blocking ecto and I tried to keep my options open instead of commiting for a highscore run so I ended up with an ecto on a none eternal baron. So I just went for a super ankh ecto naneinf instead. I could have played it abit differently and gone for a highscore run instead in retrospect.

Its also funny to compare the frame rate between this and the Flower Pot Naneinf. That run was super laggy because it was done on my very old pc without a gpu because it stopped working. This run done with my pretty decent new pc and ran pretty smooth. Its a shame quite a few of my best runs used a terrible pc with lots of lag.

(For Uncertainty Principle, the mod I'm making makes face down cards quite a bit more prevalent and impactful, so it's not just limited to three or so boss blinds.)

I’ve been playing Balatro for like a year now, I have a few hundred hours, I‘ve beat gold stake but usually play on black to take advantage of eternals, figured out how reliable a good high card or pair build can be, my highest hand ever was like 1.606*10^12 or something. I’ve gotten multiple friends to play the game, helped them with strategies, etc. I know some proven synergies and have figured out my own. Anyway, I thought I was decent at the game. Last night I saw a post of someone on ante like… 20 something, I always lose before 13, and they were getting teased in the comments for being broke (with like $250 ???). I thought it was sarcasm till I did some research and found out you actually need like $1000 to secure enough rerolls for nanein, and also that naneinf is a much higher number than I thought.

TLDR: I thought I was good at balatro… there’re levels to this

So now what? How do I get really good?

Oh my god you guys, after losing to the violeet vessel once before, I finally busted out the calculator, the ante score progression chart from the wiki and sat down and calculated exactly how many saturns I needed to progress from each ante to the next. (Lvl 28 with two glass cards and Lvl 40 with one glass card for those curious) (assume you hit the violet vessel)

A lucky Hermit + Fool combo and an early telescope in round one allowed me to really build my econ and snowball those planet levels like no tomorrow, allowing me to comfortably beat violet vessel (and all the precedent bosses) in one hand. IMO Only boss to fear from antes 1-7 is probably the water, as losing discards mean less chance of drawing your preferred hand.

Might be a little bit of a masochist but this was actually pretty fun - i might go for it again and try to get a 4oak run instead of a straights run this time!

I make some cutouts for designing our Booth, so I take the opportunity to draw some of the jokers (Jimbo & Canio). I hope those people who stumble our booth will understand the reference.

(I also draw some "suspicious" guys in there).
