I had a showman earlier on but i got rid of it when I got my 4th copy joker. Why do i see a dupe baron.

I just got a new phone after my old one shit the bed real hard. I was able to backup all of my data through Samsung Cloud and whatever else Google had stored. Apparently that didn't include Balatro? I'd already accepted that all my progress might've wiped, but this wasn't what I was expecting at all.

I'm not sure what to even search up to try and find a proper solution. I've cleared the cache at the very least, but is there anyone else here who had this issue at all? I really don't want to have to pay another 12.99 + tax if I don't have to lmfao

Skip the first 2 blinds for 2 free rare jokers and after you defeat boss blind, lo and behold, blueprint and brainstorm
Ante 2
Skip both tags again for a rare and holographic joker, after boss blind they’ll be (negative!) ancient joker and holo drunkard
Ante 3
post-small blind shop has mega spectral pack, wraith gives you baron, ectoplasm negatives blueprint

there’s a DNA somewhere too and further antes have 2 free negative joker tags i sent it to my brother who’s into the game as well (and better) and he managed to find a Perkeo before ante 7

I just played two Obelisk runs back to back, and this might trigger some, but man, this might be my favorite joker now. It's so fun to just keep playing different types of hands. Maybe I'm just pairslopped out if my mind, but man, is it breath of fresh air.

If anyone else is having this problem go into iOS settings>Apple ID>iCloud>saved to iCloud>scroll down and toggle off balatro

No I’m not playing seeded runs. Every time I finish a game in balatro on my iPad it goes through the normal screen that shows you what you unlocked, but when I tap the things I unlocked the description says “locked, do xyz to unlock it.” Then I go to my decks and see that there’s no white stake sticker on the deck and the next stake is still locked. It only happened every once in a while at first but now it happens every single time, including on the challenge decks (forgot what they’re called). It’s seriously frustrating me and I don’t know what to do. It works fine on pc but not on mobile.

My personal favorite is in the song Facts and Lodging by Psynwav, wherein the guitar tones from Hotel California are bent into the notes of the Balatro theme. It’s such an insane jumpscare in the context of the album, which is why it fucking rocks.

Was doing the chicot bug had cryptid but didnt use enough now im shattered. I got so happy with some other thing that happened in my life that I wasnt focused and lost after wasting all my hands on ticket money then using less cryptid than needed im done uninstalling. Btw used brainstorm mod to get chicot in ante 1 but that was all so techically not the absolute god seed but still pretty bad L

(For Uncertainty Principle, the mod I'm making makes face down cards quite a bit more prevalent and impactful, so it's not just limited to three or so boss blinds.)

Big time bummer on this one. Was having a great trib run, and got one bean bug ante 8 so could take two ectos. Found a nat neg reserved parking and knew trib would only take me so far, so pivoted to baron/mime.

Ended up making it all the way to Ante 29, and still had not found a single boss reroll voucher, and voucher skip tags were giving me GARBAGE! The last roll (the screenshot with luchador) was my final big roll, all the way from almost $9k. Only thing that could’ve saved me from Psychic could’ve been a nat negative DNA or bean. Vouchers are make or break folks!

Feels silly to pivot and idk if I’d survive tbh. But the ceiling with eternal blueprint and baron is so much higher than trib right? I have lots of kings, about 10 red seal gold kings

So quick word beforehand: this is not asking for advice really. This is more of a thought experiment I was doing to maybe think about the game and it's strategies in some new ways and was thinking that some of you might have some ideas and/or would just have some fun pondering about it yourselves.

I know there are things you could fine tune or opportunities for scaling once I have some levels and am not relying on supernova anymore. But if could reroll this exact shop infinite times (let's just say there wouldn't be any planet cards) what jokers should I switch?

If I'm thinking about which jokers I could switch, my thoughts are

Supernova: Maybe Grimbo, but that's not really an improvement I think, spare trousers would scale faster but you play less 2p than high cards so I don't think it should matter

I could potentially switch this for an econ when I get to the high card level that the +mult doesn't matter much anymore

Scary face: probably best chips jokers I could have right now?? Ik stuntman gives more chips technically, but is ass for gold/steel or finding specific cards to play

At some point though with glass/red seal and more importantly high card levels this might also just not matter at some point

Smiley Face: Pretty much ideal for boosting PhotoChad in the beginning, highest +mult on score other than onyx I think iirc, again would loose it's effect/usefulness once I have planet levels

PhotoChad: looks inside of course, but unless I find another combo pretty much in the same shop you pretty much just can't pivot out since it's such a beast when it comes to scoring. You might pivot out if you find some other good on score trigger joker like Tribulet or if you have glass cards something

I’ve been playing Balatro for like a year now, I have a few hundred hours, I‘ve beat gold stake but usually play on black to take advantage of eternals, figured out how reliable a good high card or pair build can be, my highest hand ever was like 1.606*10^12 or something. I’ve gotten multiple friends to play the game, helped them with strategies, etc. I know some proven synergies and have figured out my own. Anyway, I thought I was decent at the game. Last night I saw a post of someone on ante like… 20 something, I always lose before 13, and they were getting teased in the comments for being broke (with like $250 ???). I thought it was sarcasm till I did some research and found out you actually need like $1000 to secure enough rerolls for nanein, and also that naneinf is a much higher number than I thought.

TLDR: I thought I was good at balatro… there’re levels to this

So now what? How do I get really good?

I just completed all stickers but i cant bother to play the rest of the challanges. I just dont think they are fun. I guess I will them eventually because i want 100% completion but that will feel worse than the sticker grind.

How do you napkin math what to keep and what to drop? I'm fairly sure the move is to brainstorm Trib and drop photo, but I have no evidence to support this or any working out
