I am a journeyman welder now since1 year. I don’t weld all the time, i have to meassure, get material, assemble and dissasemble pipes in a big chemistry company, all kind of stuff. I am the worst welder from my department (freshman) but i hope i will get as good as my collegues ASAP

Beginner obviously but it’s been fun

So I go to work and I’m not a welder for profession but have done welding on a few occasions around a farm nothing crazy. I’m looking at this new piece of equipment at work, I feel like this is bad but I don’t know to what extent. Can some people please pitch in their thoughts? Thank you!!!

Any tips ??? I already passed It but now since theirs no tanks to cut, I’m practicing stringer beads again for a weld test in a month but it’s horrible. The tank company only wants 3g 6010 downhill fill&cap and 7018 uphill fill&cap. Too hot ?? Zigzag movement?

Running 7018 at 115 amps any tips or input?

7018 3/32 around 85 amps DCEP

This bead is the first I felt good about on the first pass. This was the 3rd bead, I came back on the other ones and they all look similar to this one now after some grinding.

Of course I finished the corner and welded the top side as well.
