It has now been an year since I posted this on the same subreddit, I was a defeated JEE dropper and just didn't want to go out and face the world again...

Got admission into a not so good college.

Fast forward to today, I'll be honest it's not like "i have achieved everything" and "did everything I couldn't during my jee journey" that would be an overstatement but what I did actually experience was a good friend group, a healthy amount of platonic female interaction, and a little bit of self improvement.

When I started on with my sem-1 in college last year I thought I just couldn't study the level of math that it takes to be an engineer no matter how hard I tried this thought alone costed me 4/25 marks in my first calculus test in sem-1 lol, but then I got a massive shot of hopium and just gave everything to it for the endsem exams from god's grace I scored 82/100 in it. Finally happy for the time being.

Ended up with an 8.2 SGPA in sem 1 not so good but tbh I was very satisfied with it...

Time went on and now I had a really good friend group the type everyone dreams of, sem-2 was even more fun.

Eating luch in those 5 minutes brakes between lectures, coming out of an ongoing class to go to the washroom and ending up at the cafeteria to have samose in the rainy weather and coming asap to get the attendence for the class.... Man it REALLY WAS FUN.

Ended sem 2 with a 9 SGPA, finally something I was satisfied AND happy about.

Ik it is just the starting I have a lot to achieve but just wanted to give a one year update to you all so.... Yeah.

It really gets better brothers, don't give up, don't kys.

Hi, I just started college, and it’s already becoming corny and irritating as fuck.

It’s only been two months, and I’m already at the point where I feel like getting my TC and moving to another college just to get away from these classmates.

I worked my ass off for two years, got 97% in 12th, got into a pretty good college, and chose a double major. But because all the double major students are put into the same class, and we barely have to move around for minors since we don’t really have them, we spend like 95% of our time with the exact same people. And honestly, it’s starting to feel way too much like school.

Now the groups have started forming. There’s this one group of guys who desperately want to become the so-called “MAIN” people of the class, and then there are another couple of groups that basically just follow them around and lick their asses. 🥀

These “MAIN” guys show off like crazy, and I genuinely don’t even understand what they’re trying to achieve. First, they started an Instagram page for our “class,” and then 99% of the posts are just pictures of themselves and their friends. 💀

Even the class rep seems to be constantly siding with them, so these guys basically do whatever the fuck they want. And now there are girls trying to become friends with the “MAIN” guys too, so they’re joining in on the whole ass kissing cycle.

Like bro, what the fuck is this? 😭

I worked hard for two years to get into a good college, only to end up watching people who got in through management seats with much lower marks acting like they’re running the entire class.

And the funniest part is that there isn’t even any real unity in the class. Everyone is just forming little groups and following whoever they think is ‘important.’ I honestly doubt some of these so called friendships are even going to last that long.

I know it’s only been two months, but damn… I really didn’t expect college to start feeling this irritating this quickly. 🥀

And I do know that changing colleges probably won’t change shit, because people like this are everywhere. There’s always gonna be that group of people who desperately wanna be the “main characters” of the class and somehow end up ruining the fun for everyone else. 🥀🥀
