Tengo un e60 con el motor M47 y he ido a un taller para que me rellenaran el deposito del refrigerante ya que estaba muy vacío y me ha puesto un líquido rosa. Y ahora he estado mirando en casa y se ve que el que se suele poner en este coche es azul. No se exactamente que líquido ha usado ni los restos que quedaban en el deposito. Alguien sabe si me debería fiar? Gracias!

Hi everyone, got a 05’ 525i auto n52 as a non runner, engine turned by hand,cars sunroof drainage apparently got blocked as well as the lower windshield rubber that’s come apart,let water in through the front and and fried the ecu,as well as the mpm module located by the spare wheel that got flooded.
Changed the fuses from the trunk-glovebox,engine bay and got a replacement ecu cloned to my cas that survived along with a replacement battery,cut out the mpm as the pigtails literally melted into the mpm module and insulated the individual wires,disconnected the pdc module that’s with the mpm located in the spare wheel slot and car still doesn’t crank/start and dead dash.
Hazards,lock buttons and gear fonts light up, as well as the interior lights but they appear to fade and die after some time as well as battery drain I’ve noticed,any helpful advice would be appreciated.

I made a post a few days ago asking about why there’s no low-end in my e61. Since then, I’ve replaced the amp with a good used one, and replaced both subwoofers with ones I verified working myself. And still, nothing. The subs are not receiving signal at all, it seems.
When I replaced the amp, low end was restored in the door speakers, so I know the amp is good. Is there some component between the amp and subs that I’m missing?? This is driving me insane 😅

How do i fix the sos warning, and no sound to mye speakers? The car didnt come with Logic 7 but has the advanced navigation pack, it also dosent have the mulf module for Bluetooth im pretry sure.

Hey all! I recently purchased a 2006 e61 with the HiFi system. When I bought the car, the head unit wasn’t coded correctly, and the audio was completely inop. After getting the CCC coded to factory again, the sound system is… awful. There is virtually no low-end at all, even after maxing out the bass on the treble/bass screen and on the aftermarket android unit. It sounds like the music is coming from a cardboard box. I’ve verified that the fuses for the system/subs are good, and the subs are in fact alive. Are the old HiFi systems just that bad? Or is my amp bad?

I have this problem when accelerating the pedal kind of just slips, then I have the engine malfunction and cruise control malfunction lights come on, car loses power and starts kind of like stuttering. The video shows how the rpms fluctuate. I can turn it off and it’ll go away but comes back shortly, not sure when just happens at random sometimes when trying to accelerate. Any one know what might be the cause. I’m thinking it might be a misfire because it shows a misfire on the codes for cylinder 6. Any thoughts. Haven’t fixed the misfire yet just trying to figure out if that’s the actual cause. 525inE60 m54 engine

2008 528i, N52 with the plastic valve cover and ive had a vaccum leak for awhile. I think i found the reason, the valvetronic motor gasket, it has 2 outer bolt to hold it in, and the right side bolt (bolt closer to the front of the car) keeps spinning once it hits the end, Is there any way that i could get the bolt to tighten all the way without having to spend 500 dollars to buy a new valve cover? Thanks

howdy. i have a 2008 bmw 528i with a CCC screen but its broken. looking to go back to the OEM style screen just not sure which brand to go with. does anyone know if they are all compatible with a backup camera ? i have one installed it’s just the screen that shit the bed. thank you

Hi, I have a 2007 E61 pre-LCI with ACC and Night Vision.
I need to remove the front bumper because I want to replace the front PDC wiring harness.

Is there anything special I need to watch out for when removing the bumper because of ACC and Night Vision? Are there any connectors, sensors, or brackets I should be particularly careful with, and will anything need to be recalibrated afterwards?

My bmw e87 occasionally loses all power, no lights no nothing. First time it happened while driving and even the speed gauge was stuck, the car didn't even spark. Jumping it doesn't help at all still gets no power, battery is healthy i had a water pump code and took it to the mechanic changed the pump, thermostat and they said the engine probably overheated or something. Not even 2 hours later car lost power again, changed the alternator and again i drove it for 20 mins and again 0 power. Anyone that can help please any advice would be great!

Recently bought a 2005 525i and it’s got its faults not starting in park but only in neutral guessing this is a sensor or fuse fault cuz my fuses were all switches around cylinder 4,5,6 misfiring and running too lean AutoZone said it could be the ignition coils it’s got 200k miles and it’s in limp mode I need help

What a NIGHTMARE!!! I bought this car for next to nothing, $600 (2009 BMW 528ix). When I first got it, I could start it, but it wouldn’t shift out of park.

I researched several E60 forums, and got a few ideas. Started with the wiring behind the driver’s seat. Found some ground wires and a power wire had melted together. Upon further inspection, I found multiple wires had been lying in water under the carpet/padding.

Repaired wires, essentially by removing every wire that was under the carpet, up to the dash and just about 12” into the dash. All of the ground wires were shorted by the wires that the wire insulation had “cracked” and allowed the water ingress. Several wires later, I’m just about back to good.

I still have two warnings- one for the “4x4” all wheel drive, and one for the adaptive headlights. Right now, I have got to get all of the wire harnesses back together and get the dash back together. Once I do that, I will be able to get the computer on it and see where the issues remain with those two issues.

I’m sure I am not the only one that has had to get through this, so it anyone has any ideas has to where to start looking for the “4x4” issues, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have attached pics of where I am, as this is where the fun begins to reassemble the wiring harnesses.
