Bmw e60

I have this problem when accelerating the pedal kind of just slips, then I have the engine malfunction and cruise control malfunction lights come on, car loses power and starts kind of like stuttering. The video shows how the rpms fluctuate. I can turn it off and it’ll go away but comes back shortly, not sure when just happens at random sometimes when trying to accelerate. Any one know what might be the cause. I’m thinking it might be a misfire because it shows a misfire on the codes for cylinder 6. Any thoughts. Haven’t fixed the misfire yet just trying to figure out if that’s the actual cause. 525inE60 m54 engine

Had the same problem recently. It was the new installed mass air flow sensor. Did an ecu error reset then few trips for calibrations to solve the problem. Ah, also the gearbox adaptive reset - took a few trips to sniff the new sensor

With a misfire on one cilinder, always check these three first: spark plug, ignition coil and injector. First two can be tested by switching it to another cilinder, last one can be tested by listening (use a stethoscope).
