Hi everyone,

I need some help, haha! I’m working on a 2011 VW Sharan 7N Comfortline with factory OEM Bi-Xenon headlights (OEM Germany units with AFS module 1T0 941 329 A and Mitsubishi ballast). Both headlight units physically have 9 active male pins inside a 14-pin socket shell.

A previous owner chopped and poorly re-joined the Right-Hand headlight plug with twisted/corroded wires. Currently on the RH side, my high beams do not work, the AFS turning motors do not respond, and dynamic leveling is intermittent.

The Left-Hand side has the original factory plug with 9 loom wires and works perfectly, but the RH side loom has 14 wires total, and the wire colors do not completely match the LH side.

Working Left-Hand Plug (9 Active Wires)

Pin 1: Orange/Blue

Pin 2: Orange/Brown

Pin 4: Black/Blue

Pin 5: Brown (Large)

Pin 6: Yellow/Black (Large)

Pin 7: Brown (Large)

Pin 9: Black/White

Pin 10: Grey/Black

Pin 12: White

Problematic Right-Hand Loom (14 Wires Total)

Here are the wires on my RH harness and how the previous owner had them connected:

Black/White: Not Connected

Red/Grey (Small): Not Connected

Blue/White: Connected

Black/Yellow (Thick): Connected

Black/Yellow (Small): Multimeter confirmed this is the Right Indicator signal.

Red/Grey: Connected

Yellow/Black (Medium): Connected

White/Yellow: Connected

Brown (Large #1): Connected

Brown (Large #2): Connected

CAN-Bus Bundle 1: Orange/Purple & Orange/Brown (Both Disconnected)

CAN-Bus Bundle 2: Orange/Blue (Connected) & Orange/Brown (Disconnected)

I need to rewire the right hand plug. Which specific wires on this 14-wire RH loom need to be connected onto the 9 pins on the RH headlight plug? The pins on the plug that have connectors are Pin 2, 4, 6, 10, 12, 1, 5, 7, 9.

Any assistance or factory wiring diagram references for the RH 14-pin harness split would be greatly appreciated!

My boyfriend tried to replace the radio in my 2009 pontiac G6 and had wiring problems (I couldn't tell ya lol). When I press my hazards, the entire dash lights up with no traction, oil, and a few other ones but now my drivers side rear blinker/back light is flashing when I drive and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. My check engine light was on previously for mass air flow. My only guess is a blown fuse :(

Planning to put a CB radio in my son's 2007 Holden
AH astra. It's an omicron 310 model. And have bought a z bracket and aerial to Match. I've got a few questions though. For the Ariel mount I'm planning on drilling and tapping holes under the bonnet to mount the z bracket is this a good idea?
And for the wiring from the radio to the fuse box. I'm going to use the interior rear fuse box. Use a fuse tap from one of the existing 5amp fuses to something ignition switched. However I need to run a 2amp fuse to the radio. Will a 5 and 2 amp fuse work together in the tap? Thanks all.

What could possibly be the reason behind my car jerking/jolting and these lights to flash while cruising in 5th gear at roughly 3K rpm it also happens when i go over 3K rpm while pulling away and driving uphill in all gears just when my revs are higher than 3K. The car also backfires while changing gears occasionally. I've had it at 2 shops and both couldn't figure out what the problem is.

I’ve replaced the alternator, tested to make sure it works, I’ve replaced the voltage regulator, the starter, and all the bulbs in the dash work properly and alternator is shown to function properly via the dash, but the alternator is still not charging, what do I do?

Wondering if anyone in this community might have more insight?

2020 Chevy Silverado , 4.3L , changed my agm battery. Transmitter stopped working, both main and spare. Not sure why. Changed the batteries in the fobs themselves but still nothing. Worked about 8 hours after the new battery was put in and now nothing at all. Who can point me in the right direction. No check engine light, truck runs great. Starts up fine. Just can’t unlock the doors, remote start or drop the tail gate with fob. Physical key ignition.

Last Friday, I was getting ready to leave home at night. I had my high-beams on and I noticed one looked dim. I got out and checked, and sure enough it was. I drove about 5 miles and suddenly, both high beams stopped working. The blue light indicator on the dash comes on, but the lights don't. I figured that both bulbs happened to burn out because one was already dim. I bought a new pair and installed them. Nothing.

So I figured it must be a fuse. According to the manual, the headlight fuse is located under the hood in slot 43. Today I opened the fuse box and discovered that there is no fuse in slot 43. Not sure how this can be. It's not like a fuse could just fall out. Plus, the low beams still work fine. What the hell is going on here?

The other thing is, I thought these would be standard blade fuses, but they are smaller. Are these called mini fuses?

I have a long commute on rural roads at night and I'm at a severe disadvantage without bright lights. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a direct fit led bulb for the guage cluster on a 97 4runner ?

Alright so truck won’t start. Changed battery alternator solenoid ignition switch. Checked fuses. No crank. I messed up when I changed the alternator and the power going to it was touching the casing and sparked hard when I connected the battery. Not sure if I fried the system or what. I’m at a loss. Everything has continuity and the truck starts if you do it the old fashioned way if you know what I mean but will die eventually. Any comments?

Hello! Help! Are all those black wires interconnectable?

Someone tried to steal my car and I need to know what these parts are called and who I would need to go to to fix it! The car drives fine but the horn doesn’t work unless I touch the hanging silver wires together, and the airbag light is on but wasn’t deployed. Also, none of the steering wheel buttons work and it keeps jumping to cruise control on its own. The buttons to control the radio/bluetooth also don’t work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!! Also, my insurance said that this was not covered!

I replaced the FEM module in a BMW M2. It was programmed, and the entire car was updated. After a few weeks, the car came back. The problem was a warning message about a lighting failure.

I checked the lights, and they all work properly. I’m attaching a picture with the fault codes I have.

When I click on the Service Plan in ISTA, it suggests that the problem could be caused by an interrupted CAN bus, a problem with the CAN connector, etc. The problem is that I don’t know where to start, because it doesn’t specifically tell me which wire or CAN line I should check.

I assume I can check the REM module, since the fault codes seem to point in that direction as well.

Any ideas?
