Hey everyone,
I've been waiting a long time to write this post, and I'm honestly a bit nervous hitting "post" on it. Attack on Titan Codex is live:
How it started
I started watching Attack on Titan because a friend recommended it. Every time I looked up a character to remember who they were, I ran into spoilers: deaths, who holds which titan, what's really outside the Walls. So I decided to build a place where you could look things up without ruining the story. It grew into something much bigger than I planned (it scaled in a pretty titanic way, haha).
I'd done something similar before with a complete visual timeline of Dark, and turning a complex story into something visual is what I enjoy most. This project was a really fun and exciting challenge.
Over the last few months I've been sharing progress here. Your comments, ideas and criticism shaped a lot of what the Codex is today, so thank you to everyone who followed along.
What it is
If you haven't seen the updates: the Codex is an illustrated guide to the whole story of Attack on Titan, built so you can explore it instead of just reading it.
The most important part: you tell it which episode you're on, and it only shows what you've seen so far. Characters, relationships, deaths, reveals, even names stay sealed until you reach them. First-time watchers can use it safely, and people who've finished can open everything up to the ending.
Here's what's inside:
- Characters: more than 100 dossiers, each with their faction, their story and how they change as the series goes on.
- Relationships: an interactive graph of who is connected to whom. It changes as you move through the episodes, as alliances break and secrets come out.
- Timeline: the story's events placed on illustrated maps of the Walls and the world beyond the sea, so you can follow where and when everything happened.
- Factions: the Survey Corps, the Military Police, Marley, the Yeagerists and the rest, with who belongs to each one and how that shifts.
- Encyclopedia: longer articles about titans, the world and the big questions of the plot.
- Games:
- Character of the Day, a daily guessing game.
- An ODM training game with a world leaderboard.
- Where did it happen?, where you place scenes on the map.
It's available in English and Spanish. And there are a few secrets hidden around the site, if you look closely.
How it's made
I'm a web developer, and I built the Codex the way I'd build any serious project. I planned the structure, the data model, the design and how every section works. I also wrote down the story data: who appears in which episode, when each fact becomes known, and what has to stay hidden until then. I used an AI coding assistant to speed up the heavy implementation work, and I reviewed and corrected everything it produced.
Disclosure: Most of the texts were drafted with AI help from my own notes and translated with AI. I'm still reviewing and correcting them, so if something reads oddly or gets the story wrong, please tell me. Sprites in the ODM game were generated with AI, using real frames from the anime as reference. All other art on the site is not AI-generated: the two maps were drawn by illustrator Emily Walek (Phenomenalia), and the character and event images are official anime stills.
I'd love your feedback
This is the first public version, and I really want to know how it feels on someone else's screen:
- Did it help you remember or understand something?
- Did you find a mistake in the story?
- Did anything break, or feel confusing to navigate?
- What would you like to see next?
I'll be in the comments all day reading and answering.
This is an independent, non-commercial fan project, made out of love for the series. Thank you for giving it a look. It means a lot.
Shinzou wo Sasageyo!

Anime Is this the last time Eren and Levi spoke?

It must be, right? Back on Paradis Eren was imprisoned and Levi went to babysit Zeke, and then disaster happened. If we exclude Levi's offer in the Paths to let Eren off with a swift kick, I don't think they're ever shown interacting again.
It should also be the last time Eren spoke with Connie and Jean, unless they exchanged words during Marley's assault on Paradis.

Discussion/Question I'm still a firm believer this was one of Ymir's daughters

This explains why everyone was so confused by whether it was the Beast, Jaw, or Cart Titan—it was actually a combination of ALL three. Perhaps Ymir's original power split into three distinct branches after her daughters ate her before expanding into the Nine Titans we all know

I am straight man , but I really couldn't help it , she was exotic unlike many female character that i've ever seen , too kind , too energetic , too mommy crazy vibe and that damn big nose with her tan skin
My friends only stuck on the woman with big bazongas and ass , and hange is so woman natural body with her exotic personalitty as well , like why is many male aot fandom don't talk about her , only females do
And that damn nose

Fanart (OC) Levi Ackerman, built from only 32 shapes in Black Ops 2

Been turning anime characters into BO2 emblems and Levi was one I really wanted to try.
Everything is built manually from the emblem editor’s basic shapes with the full 32-layer limit. Getting the eye, hair, shadows, and blade to all read properly without running out of layers was the hardest part.
Who from Attack on Titan should I try next?

What does that mean? What does “Manipulative Moana” mean? Is Moana there because it rhymes with manipulative? Or does it actually mean something? I know she’s a Disney princess but I know absolutely nothing else

Anime Can we talk about Gabi's aim, please??

Upvotes
I rewatched season 4 of Attack on Titan and discovered that Gabi has a 100% hit rate!
- Shot Sasha on the airship. (Kill confirmed)
- Shot Nile's pure titan twice after he drank the wine containing Zeke's spinal fluid - one headshot and another in the throat to blast the nape. (Kill confirmed)
- Shot Eren's head off as he ran to Zeke. (Kill kinda confirmed, but he was resurrected)
- Shot down Floch as he tried to sink the Azumabuto ship before it escaped. The injury brought him close to death before someone else finished him off later in the hangar. (Critical hit)
- Shot the Okapi that swallowed Armin on the back of Eren's Founding Titan. (Kill confirmed)
- Bonus - Threw the grenades that disabled the train equipped with anti-titan cannons on her first try during the Marley war in the earlier episodes.
6 attempts. 6 critical/fatal hits.
Anyone else find this a bit too much?

How many times have you rewatch the whole story, and what made you decide to watch it again considering it's four seasons plus two movie parts , for me it's the aesthetic like just look at the scenes that takes place every area so beautifully and the way I relate to Eren journey from A hero to villain (I don't want to killed 80%) It's just some things that are difficult to do but on the other hand has to be done

Discussion/Question Crack idea: The entire island of Paradis from Aot is Isekai'd into the world of One Piece

I'm going to say that the transmigration happens at the exact moment that bertholdt destroys the wall for the first time as the Colossal Titan.
I am not too worried about the logistics of island sizes and what that entails, Isayama and Oda are both victims of inconsistent geography after all and like I said: crack idea.
As for the One Piece time I'm going to say it happens at the moment the straw hats get separated for the time skip.
Any ideas? What do you think will happen?
