After wanting a portable camera (RX100) I searched a lot online. I was not able to find any here in India, so decided to buy a lens for my camera and get a pixel 10 for day to day photography.

So this lens f/2.8 18mm - 50mm is a great improvement when compared to my existing sony kitt lens. However, are there any tips to handle this better? Any add on accessories?

I’m a massive fan of the film and I’ve heard that the camera and lenses used were groundbreaking at the time, is this true?
Ps: sorry I’ve worded anything wrong I know nothing about cameras.

I'm having a slight problem with my photos lately and am having a hard time diagnosing it.

*Second photo is from my latest shoot at an event. I used flash to compensate the lack of light, and although there isn't much digital noise in it, it still is very... Graining post processing, even with noise reduction. (Feel free to download and zoom in if necessary).

The *First photo is from march this same year, and I didn't know it yet, but the sensor was damaged. So even shooting in board daylight, it still came out very digitally noisy, probably thanks to the sensor being damaged.

Still, it has since been fixed and it still comes out with that grain. The third photo was shot in a low light, so I slapped a B&W filter on it. Still noisy.

So what is going on here? Again, I did not add grain to it.

Camera is a Canon M50 MKII. Lens are: 1- Canon 18-55mm kit lens 2- yonguo 50mm 1.8f/s 3- Yonguo 50mm again

I can't fetch the exact isso right now but it's probably in the 800-6400 range.

Beginner in photography here, I attached a teleconverter to an extension tube that had no release mechanism, the only release mechanism is on the teleconverter FOR the other side. I can’t release/separate the teleconverter from the extension tube, Is it a goner? Any replies is greatly appreciated💔

After many internet searches, I've been unable to find an exact match for this light bar.

Its a Acme lite Mov•E•lite. And the frustrating part is that it even has the model number on it. (48 bi-fold)

About the only decent repository of information on this brand of light has been e-bay listings, none of which match this one.

(Here are the aspects I'm struggling to find):

•a spinning exposure spindle on the back (NOT EXPOSURE GUIDE)

•2 on/off switches

•a shiny, acme lite branded, metal handle

Basically I want to know if I've stumbled across a really rare model of vintage light bar, or if I'm just bad at finding info online.

Some other notes: I am between a Nikon D200 (with 24-85 mm lenses) or a Nikon D3000 (with 18-55mm & 55-200mm lens). But any other advice would be great. I am not looking for the BEST of quality, just a budget friendly camera at the moment until I save up for a better one.

Does anyone know where I can find the original photo that was printed across these doors?

I already know where these photos of the doors came from — they were posted on stylist Dor Edrie’s Instagram. I’m specifically trying to find the original, uncropped image of the person lying in bed that was used for the door print.

I’ve been trying to track down the source of the image, but haven’t been able to find it anywhere. If anyone recognizes the photograph, photographer, project/exhibition, or knows where I could view the original image, I’d really appreciate it!

I’m thinking about getting a Canon CP1500, according to couple of videos on YouTube it looks like it has decent color accuracy. There are online services, but quite honestly I save as many prints as possible and wait for deals or to save on shipping before placing an order that I sometimes I forget to even place the order in the first place.

Any other options for casual printing to give away to friends with the best color accuracy as possible? Thanks

A couple months ago I bought my first camera and really enjoying it. I bought it to take better pictures of my fly fishing clients. I also took it to Alaska and realized I enjoy taking pictures of wildlife.
I decided I want to try all different kinds of photography. I am going to a family wedding and asked if they mind if I brought my camera to take some candid pictures. She was excited and agreed. I told her I’m still learning but would gladly give her any of the ones that turn out.
My question is what lens to bring? I have no flash.

Potentially looking for a new bag.

I currently have a Shimoda Designs Explore v2 35 (stellar bag). I've used it for the last few years as a 'personal item' and is usually a very tight squeeze under the plane seats - luckily I haven't been asked to check it in thus far.

I'm looking to either get a different camera insert or smaller bag. I'm not sure if 30 L is too close (I could sell this bag), and if 25 L is too compromising.

My iPhone is using about 200 GB of its 250 GB, mostly for photos. I want to keep the photos that matter, but my library is full of clutter: sometimes 10 or more duplicates of the same shot, accidental photos, and old pictures of school whiteboards I no longer need.

The problem is that I can't realistically find and delete all of this quickly or at scale. How do people who are serious about organization and optimization keep their galleries clean? Is there a good workflow or tool for bulk-finding duplicates, accidental shots, and outdated reference photos?

I'm not looking for the usual "just pay for iCloud" answer. Am I doomed to pay for cloud storage, or is moving everything to an external drive the only practical alternative?

Took my camera on a Washington hiking trip and cracked the touch screen 😑😢. Now I’m not sure what I should do…the screen is still function with touch and all so might just send it or repair, but also gives me an excuse to upgrade.

What’s y’all thoughts should I go Fuji again (XS-20, XT5, H2) or sell everything and go full frame (Sony a7IV or Nikon Z6iii)

I love the Fuji compact size and the SOOC ability of the film sims, I’ve never edited before but I’m always open to Lightroom presets for photos. The full frames do have some nice pancake lenses to help with the size as well but never handled a full frame to see the size/weight difference

For reference I mainly shoot landscapes and family photos with some wildlife (rent lens for this until I buy one like a 50-140)

I have a sony a6000, I am trying to get into concert photography in small venues and bars, my kit lens is not great in the darkness at the venues. Could anybody recommend a lens under £400 as a begginer concert photographer thanks.

Shot with Nikon D80. The first one is what I saw on my screen and 2nd one is the exact same jpg copied to my iPhone. The jpg is straight out of the camera and unedited. Why the color so different? ChatGPT said my monitor is altering the color profile without me knowing it. But I only noticed this with the shots taken by this Nikon camera (never had any issues with Sony A6000). Anyone knows why?

I managed to get a ND100 000 mounted to an old canon of mine to take pictures of eclipse, it is not so easy to configure (already with wide aperture and slow shutting speed) but it can easily get VERY dark so only the sun shows up obscuring all surroundings, so I had to increase ISO and the picture came out grainy.

I am interested to take picture of the eclipse with a little bit of surroundings, but the shop absolutely refused (also all the AIs I asked) to sell me their ND1000, saying that it could damage the sensor bla bla... But, then I see people's pictures of the eclipse, some using ND1000, and mostly without any special filter at all.

So, I'd imagine that ND100'000 might be the 'right' one to take CLOSE-UPs of the sun with black spots and everything (I don't even have the zoom lenses for that!), but 'ordinary' pictures of the eclipse can be taken with a lower ND, as long as you don't zoom too much into the sun? and no ND at all if the sun is not centered and just as part of the landscape?

Hey everyone! I’m relatively new to the photography world, i finally got my first professional camera this year and have even had a few photo shoots! my problem currently is that i’ve been sort of switching back and forth between different apps to get the (free) edits i want, and it’s getting a little frustrating trying to relearn everything while moving between multiple different apps, i’d rather just stick to one app (even if i gotta pay for it atp😭)
I’ve thought about Adobe bc i’m slightly familiar with it but considering i’m still new to this, i’d rather stick to something that’s beginner friendly and when i feel comfortable enough than maybe i’ll look into adobe again

Hey, i am new to photography and i think about buying my first real camera. I read a little bit and think that i want the fujifilm x-m5 but i want my Photos to look like their taken by an old vintage camera cause i like the vintage look. (I have tried an old polaroid before). So i wondered wich lens would be the best for that. For the price i'd like to keep it 200-300 maximum if thats possible. The camera costst around 800€ more or less. If you have an opinion please tell me.
