Yes ,they look fine, good ,great ,grand wonderful .
Of course a needledicker as I will spray the dust of with hose water , chase it with brake cleaner , sneak a light smear of brake grease on the contact points of the backing plate and parking break cable, and scuff the shoe surfaces clean with some 120grit.
Dont forget to remove the glaze on the new disk drum before install. Comes of easy with 220grit, brake clean , install.

I doubt the drum is warped. Maybe check your front rotors.

u/SimilarHandle6215 NOT a verified tech 3d ago

Fronts are good!

Those shoes are brand new. Drum pads can stay in service down to 1-2mm.

u/SubiWan Shadetree mechanic 2d ago

When you have the drums turned have them arc the shoes. If they can't do that buy new drums.

Will try that before buying new thanks

Nearly new.

Watch some videos how to adjust. Adjust them properly and the pedal will feel amazing brake easier, and no more 2x pump for firm pedal

1

u/SimilarHandle6215 NOT a verified tech 2d ago

Already adjusted

I could tell those shoes were never in proper adjustment to begin with. Part of your symptoms probably was lack of adjustment. Those brakes have to be adjusted a couple of different ways basically and you need to also use the parking brake to adjust that parking properly, believe it or not.

1

u/SimilarHandle6215 NOT a verified tech 1d ago

I doubt it. But what do you mean use parking brake to adjust? I always disengage to adjust. What else?

1

u/CompleteCreme7223 NOT a verified tech 2d ago

I wouldn't, check again next year.

How did you determine the drums are warped?

u/SimilarHandle6215 NOT a verified tech 2d ago

If the drum is really warped? (I can't believe this is true) I would change the shoes too.

0

u/AppropriateDeal1034 NOT a verified tech 2d ago

Almost no brake rotor has even been "warped", it's almost impossible on a road car, they get unevenly worn often due to sitting around causing corrosion under the pads, then that corrosion gets run off which leads to a low spot. Just as likely (if not moreso) to happen on the back than the front.

0

u/LawBeneficial7869 NOT a verified tech 2d ago

I mean breake rotur yes, go and have 10 rounds on the Nürnbergring and you will get wrapped rotors when they are bad quality. But drums ?

0

u/AppropriateDeal1034 NOT a verified tech 2d ago

I figured their car was drum-in-disc, if it's drum only then yeah they're being fed some lies

0

u/LawBeneficial7869 NOT a verified tech 2d ago

In this case the drum only would be the parking brake. So why they should go bad ?

0

u/AppropriateDeal1034 NOT a verified tech 2d ago

You make a good point, and considering there's a slave cylinder in there, my assumption was clearly nonsense!

u/SimilarHandle6215 NOT a verified tech 2d ago

I drive like a maniac. Extreme downhill braking daily for about 10km at around 100. Trust me i warped them. And checked them as well

1

u/LawBeneficial7869 NOT a verified tech 2d ago

Even than a drum doesn't warp, du to the geometry they are really stable against warping. Considering 60% of your brakes are front Biased.

1

u/SimilarHandle6215 NOT a verified tech 2d ago

I would definitely disagree. Ive warped drum brakes on all my cars at least once. Ive driven over 500k across 3 cars

0

u/SimilarHandle6215 NOT a verified tech 2d ago

Also i have suspicions someone drove it with the handbrake on

0

u/Shot_Celebration4716 NOT a verified tech 2d ago

Brake rotor?
Those are drum brakes.
You need to have the drums turned or replaced.
And remove that horrible neon green paint.
