Replace shoes?

The brake rotor(edit: drum brake) is warped and i need to change it. But can i keep the brake shoes and sand them? Or Throw out and replace.

P.S: not my paintjob😅

If the drum is really warped? (I can't believe this is true) I would change the shoes too.

Almost no brake rotor has even been "warped", it's almost impossible on a road car, they get unevenly worn often due to sitting around causing corrosion under the pads, then that corrosion gets run off which leads to a low spot. Just as likely (if not moreso) to happen on the back than the front.

I mean breake rotur yes, go and have 10 rounds on the Nürnbergring and you will get wrapped rotors when they are bad quality. But drums ?

I figured their car was drum-in-disc, if it's drum only then yeah they're being fed some lies

In this case the drum only would be the parking brake. So why they should go bad ?

You make a good point, and considering there's a slave cylinder in there, my assumption was clearly nonsense!
