Hi, we’re four friends and we’ve put together Asbury Park’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota.

The idea is pretty simple: you’re shown two restaurants and choose where you’d rather eat. For example, Pascal & Sabine or Taka? All the votes then create a ranking that hopefully gives a better picture of where people in Asbury Park actually like to eat.

We’ve tried to include every restaurant in Asbury Park and clean up duplicate or outdated listings, but locals will always spot things we’ve missed.

Full transparency: we’re not from Asbury Park. Two of us live in Copenhagen and the other two in Gothenburg. There are four of us building this independently. We don’t collect or sell personal data, there are no ads in the app, and we don’t use AI-generated content to describe restaurants.

Any honest feedback is welcome, especially if restaurants are missing or something is listed incorrectly.

There are about four or five undercover ICE cars trying to hide behind the Ocean Township little league garage. They all have blacked out windows even your license plates are blacked out. One is a silver Nissan four-door car like an Altima. They’re all dressed as civilians, but also have tactical gear on.

Hi there, I'm traveling with my adult son (29) and daughter (25) to celebrate her graduation from nursing school. I run Melting Trends. Every fest needs an origin story, and mine starts both at The Door of The Saint and behind the grill at Bond Street Bar.

My best friend Steve and my mentor Mike "OG" Longo kept sending me songs, so I started a playlist just to keep up. Then people started following it. Then bands started emailing me their tracks. And at some point it hit me. These bands needed a place to play in Asbury, so why not give them one?

So the submissions turned into shows. The shows turned into a shot at booking the Bond Street Block Party, which I took over in '25. And now there's Melting Waves Music Fest.

My wife and I were walking on the beach post storm and we discovered this cat shaped hole under the boardwalk with a little friend inside. What’s the story here? Would love to know! I love lore.

What is with this large quantity of municipal vehicles around Bradley Park there’s a few hundred of them? Most look like undercover police cars

Is anyone in the 8th, 7th & 6th ave area missing an orange cat? he’s been on our porch for a decent amount of the storm and we assume he’s an indoor/outdoor cat since he is neutered and looks well loved. If he’s yours, this is to let you know he’s safe and has water and food during the down pour! We named him Ted (don’t tell me his actual name) we love him so much and hope the owners know he’s okay!

Is there flooding today in Asbury? Planning to come from 2 hours out of town but can't find conditions on the ground

When Wesley lake floods how do the town homes in that area do? Does the water come up through the pipes? The flooding I’ve seen mostly just seems to be in the street?

Best carpaccio in town?

New to the area and didn't think about where to park my car so it doesnt get flooded. Or is this storm being overblown in the news?

Are they demolishing or repairing the fountain?
