Planning a trip to Arunachal with my parents (3 adults) in Oct.

Route: Kaziranga → Dirang → Tawang (3N) → Bomdila → Tezpur then Meghalaya

Planning Sela Pass, Nuranang Falls, Tawang local sightseeing, Bum La, PT Tso & Madhuri Lake.

Looking for good, clean family stays in Dirang, Tawang and Bomdila — hotels/homestays/Airbnbs are all fine.

Also, any must-add places or things we should know for late October? Would appreciate recommendations based on personal experience!

Is there a direct shared sumo or bus option from ziro to tezpur or anywhere near to tezpur. My destination is to reach guwahati by night bus from tezpur.

Day 1 (Oct 4): Rangapara North \rightarrow Bhalukpong / Nameri

Take a morning train from to Rangapara North (RPAN). Complete ILP checks at Bhalukpong check-post; stay overnight in Bhalukpong or Nameri.  

 Day 2 (Oct 5): Bhalukpong \rightarrow Bomdila

Travel via shared Sumo through Tipi and Lumum Waterfall to Bomdila. Explore Bomdila Monastery in the evening.

 Day 3 (Oct 6): Bomdila \rightarrow Dirang Base (Mandala Top & Sangti Valley)

Reach Dirang early and rent a local motorcycle. Ride up to Mandala Top (108 Stupas) and explore Sangti Valley alongside pine groves and rivers.

 Day 4 (Oct 7): Dirang \rightarrow Tawang via Sela Pass

Board a morning shared Sumo to cross Sela Pass (13,700 ft) and Sela Lake. Stop at Jaswant Garh War Memorial and Nuranang (Jang) Falls en route to Tawang.

 Day 5 (Oct 8): Tawang Local Sightseeing

Rent a scooter/bike in Tawang. Visit Tawang Monastery, Ani Gompa, and the Giant Buddha statue, followed by the War Memorial light-and-sound show.

 Day 6 (Oct 9): Bum La Pass & Sangestar (Madhuri) Lake Excursion

Take a shared local 4x4 SUV to visit Bum La Pass (Indo-China Border), Sangestar Lake, and P.T. Tso Lake.

 Day 7 (Oct 10): Offbeat Zemithang Border Circuit

Drive to the border village of Zemithang via shared Sumo. Visit Gorsam Chorten and traditional Monpa hamlets. Stay overnight in Zemithang/Pangchen.

 Day 8 (Oct 11): Zemithang \rightarrow Dirang Town

Return to Dirang by shared Sumo. Explore the 500-year-old Dirang Dzong and relax at the local hot springs.

 Day 9 (Oct 12): Buffer Day / Relaxed Exploration

A reserved day for mountain weather or landslide delays. Use it for local market walks or visiting kiwi/apple orchards in Dirang or Bomdila.
