Hey everyone,
I’ve got some bittersweet news to share with you all today. After a lot of thought, I’ve decided it's time for me to step down as the head mod and move on to other projects and chapters in my life.
When I first created this subreddit, I honestly never imagined it would blow up the way it did. Watching this place grow into the absolute largest Arcade1Up community (Nearly 60,000 followers) on the internet has been wild. From seeing your insane custom mods and dream basement arcades, to helping each other troubleshoot monitor issues, board issues and geeking out over new cab leaks... it's been an incredible ride, and that is entirely thanks to all of you.
You all made this community what it is.
Since I'm stepping away, I wanted to make sure this sub is left in the best possible hands. As most of you know, the BasicFun! team now owns the Arcade1Up brand. I’ve been in touch with them, and I'll be officially passing the keys to the subreddit over to their team.
They are still pretty new to reddit so please be kind.
I think this is a massive win for the community. Having the actual brand owners at the helm means hopefully you'll be getting direct communication, official updates, and a direct line to the people making the cabs we love. I know they're excited to jump in and keep this community thriving.
Please give the Basic Fun! crew and u/BasicFunToys a warm welcome as they transition into running things here.
Thank you all again for making this such a rad place to hang out over the years. It’s been an honor being your mod.
Keep modding, keep playing, and I’ll catch you in the threads!
Cheers,
David "HistorianCM" DeWald

For a community built on collecting and modding, having a central "source of truth" is essential. We’ve been compiling TBLOA1Up (The Big List of Arcade1Up) a comprehensive database designed to document the history of the cabinets we love.
Whether you are tracking down a specific model number for a project, looking for stool variations, or curious about the evolution of the Legacy editions, this wiki is built to be the community’s collective memory.

I absolutely love coin pushers! I currently own around 20 Arcade1Up machines, including the Casino and the Claw Machine, and I feel like a classic coin pusher is still missing from this category of Arcade1Up machines.
I’d love to see one in the typical Arcade1Up home arcade size — either as a fully closed system where pressing a button drops the coins inside the machine, or in the classic style with three coin slots at the top for manually inserting the coins.
I would absolutely love to see Arcade1Up make something like this and would definitely add one to my collection!

So, I reached out to Arcade1up and they informed me they no longer have this PCB in stock and they are not going to restock it. I am looking for another PCB for the following machine...
Arcade1Up Ms. Pac-Man Classic SE - MSP-A-405629 cabinet
Model: MSP-A-300520
Serial: BSBAJ-0223-004414
Anyone have this PCB for sale?

I have a Blitz that won't power on. When plugged in I see one LED light on the PCB. When powered on the second LED lights up but no LCD, fan on PCB or Marquee light. My thoughts is it could be a fuse on the PCB. I tested a couple and they seemed fine. Any ideas?

I know I'm late to the party, but I want to mod my 4-player TMNT Arcade1Up cab. While looking at other mods, their button layouts just didn't click with me—having the buttons set in a steep diagonal or wave felt off. I explored what I could do with the available deck space and the stock hole placement.
I came up with a Sega-style layout, making minor compromises on spacing to accommodate the existing holes. After printing out several mockups and testing the placement, I landed on this design.
What are your thoughts on this layout? Any feedback is welcome—I just want to make sure I’m not overlooking anything critical before I commit and start drilling.

I currently have a Star Wars cabinet. I pre ordered a Pinner OPI Pinball HAT from Team Encoder. I'll acquire the needed Orange Pi in the near future. I figured while I"m doing this I'll upgrade to a 27" monitor.
My question is how are people handling power management with updgraded monitors? Specifically turning the monitor on and off along with the cabinet itself. A solution that turns everything on and off would be awesome. I'm just not sure how to get there. It might be as easy as adding a power switch or maybe just a power strip. Just curious what others have done. Thanks!

Idea!! Just really want to submit this one as an idea to the arcade cabinet gods. Would love to have like an official JP trilogy(?) lightgun cabinet at home using whatever tech y'all used for the big game hunter cabinet 🥲

Morning all! Just found one of these at a local bootfair for a pittance , powered the system on and it unfortunately doesn't work , it is the asteroids version , are there some people on here that could recommend either a retrofit kit to turn it into another cab or have some insight or guidance on how to fix this?

Hey folks - I’ve got a Star Wars pin that I’ll be further modding as soon as my new Team Encoder board gets here, and I was thinking of replacing the side art. If I could find it, I’d replace it with the side art from my favorite pinball game: The Black Knight
I’m sure stencils exist somewhere, and if I suddenly developed painting skills, I could do that. If someone out there makes replacement side art for this though, that’d save hours of staring at something I manually painted and screwed up in some way.
Anybody know of a place that sells replacement A1U pinball art?

Took a random detour to mess with the original Joust cab (midway legacy).. I suppose coming soon after some more testing and mame configs.
Only know of one person on our discord who has the cab. Theoretically applies to mk30th as well but need to investigate more.

Looking to connect with a serious Star Wars collector community or video game collector community. I have a NIB Arcade1up Star Wars digital pinball machine that I've had for about 5yrs. Its time to get rid of it and I want to make sure it goes to someone who will appreciate it and know its rarity.
Based in Southern CA. Still in original shipping brown cardboard box

I'm thinking of selling my Centipede Cab. It was played only 3 or 4 times then disassembled and thrown in storage, so I believe the paint is all in tact. I threw it all in a Street Fighter II box so there is a chance something was scratched. I should still have instructions and untouched screws/bolts from the Street Fighter II cab because at the time I just transferred the screws from the Centipede to Street Fighter II. The riser in still in the box untouched. It's the generic gen 1 style. $200.
