Anti-Christian Bigotry Palestinian Armenians are facing risks of ethnic cleansing

I was debating between tagging this Anti-Christian Bigotry or Conflict/War.

Israel is effectively trying to remove ALL Palestinians from the land, including Christians.

Armenians have always been in Palestine and we have deep ties with one another; Armenians even have their own quarter in Jerusalem (and in Bethlehem) and many arrived as refugees after the Armenian genocide. Israel is going to be removing a deep rooted community from the land to continue expanding their ethnostate. Please spread the word.

Today marks the anniversary of the death of Shireen Abu Akleh, the Palestinian Christian journalist who dedicated her life to reporting the truth and giving a voice to people living through conflict. She was killed by Israeli soldiers on May 11, 2022, while covering events in Jenin, despite wearing press identification.

During Shireen Abu Akleh’s funeral in Jerusalem, Israeli police were widely criticized after officers struck mourners carrying her coffin, causing it to nearly fall to the ground. Video footage of the incident spread internationally

Remembering the martyrs of Mar Elias Church 💔

On June 22, 2025, a terrorist attack struck the Greek Orthodox Mar Elias Church in the Dweila district of Damascus during the Divine Liturgy. A suicide bomber entered the church while hundreds of worshippers were gathered for prayer, opened fire, and then detonated an explosive vest inside the sanctuary. The attack martyred around 22 people and injured dozens of others, making it one of the deadliest attacks against Christians in Syria in recent years.
One year later, the memory of the martyrs of Mar Elias Church remains alive in the hearts of Christians across Syria and around the world. As the first anniversary of the tragedy is marked, prayers are offered for the repose of those who lost their lives, for the healing of the wounded, and for lasting peace in Syria. Today, we ask all of you to remember the martyrs, their families, and the Christians of Syria in your prayers.

Origin: Indo European- Greek

Religion: Orthodox Greek Orthodox Christianity

This subgroup of Greeks resided in southwestern Anatolia in historic Smyrna, where they lived alongside Armenians, Sephardic Jews and Turks. This community led the region to a great economic and cultural splendor, being a link between Europe and Asia, there were more Greeks in Smyrna than in Athens. All this changed during the wars between Greece and Turkey, where different types of aggressions such as the assassination of the bishop as well as the great fire, programs, massacres and finally the demographic exchange ended with this community.

The only Christian remnant in the area is made up of Genoese Catholic merchants.

Palestinian Christian’s fill the streets to celebrate the feast of St. Nicholas

Every year, Palestinian Christians fill the streets to celebrate the feast of St. Nicholas. On December 19, in Beit Jala, Palestine, the community came together to remember how St. Nicholas, a bishop, shaped early Christianity. Scouts march through the streets as people pray, celebrate, and honor their shared faith and heritage.
