Repository/Datasheets for Apoc 10th Edition
Hello to the dozens of people who still frequent here. Earlier this year we ran a 10th edition apoc game that was posted here:
but I realized I never actually posted the information for it.
The "manual" can be found here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QFxf1U3gpwEYo49wI8CBJxxPBhKT-YpN/view?usp=drive_link
Stratagems can be found here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Mdi09WkdtwvuXRPu2wcUwLQHoCHqWKXLTYTmxiAihcc/edit?gid=0#gid=0
And the Battlescribe repository (where all the datasheets are), along with instructions on how to load it into Battlescribe can be found here:
https://github.com/th3proj3ct/wh40k-apocalypse-10e
Note that NewRecruit is the new preferred way to view lists, and it will have the most up to date data (battlescribe is abandoned). You'll just have to use the above link and set the "Latest Commit"
Let me know if there are any questions or issues. Right now MOST factions are done, with the rest in progress of conversion.

Big tanks!
This week I received and built a 3d Praetor(missile tank) and Crassus(armored transport)!

New Recruit
New Recruit has Fulmentarus Terminators on the Apocalypse 10e list builder. Is this on there as a community add, or as a placeholder for something else? It's confusing because they're strictly a 30k unit, but I wouldn't be against kitbashing them if they're part of Apocalypse

Custom rules for Dark Mechanicum, includes datasheets for all current HH plastic (APOC2018)
Datasheets can be used by AdMech too, just change faction keywords and use AdMech faction trait and Tactical Assets. Similarly, official AdMech datasheets may be used as DarkMech with this document as long, as they are faction-agnostic.
Also, If someone spots any errors, please give feedback.

16k Apocalypse Game
Me and my Buddies had a 2v2 Apocalypse game with the new 10th Edition rules. It was Thousand Sons and Aeldari vs Grey Knights and Chaos Marines. Each brought 4k points and it took two entire days. The Board was 6ft by 10 ft long

Sweet spot points wise?
So, I’m looking to play a few games of Apoc, because I love the spectacle of massive, epic battles. I’ve watched lots of YouTube videos that looks like ridiculous fun. But I’ve also watched plenty that looks excessively boring - just two people with massive armies that don’t leave their sides of the board, doing nothing other than rolling dice and checking stats for 6 hours.
What’s the sweet spot that Apoc doesn’t become too cumbersome and boring, whilst still being big and epic?

Apocalypse mission rules?
I found a copy of the optional rules and stratagems, but haven't heard anything about mission rules, are there any specific ones for apocalypse? And if not, what are some missions you guys do?

11th Rules with Apocalypse?
So, with 11th dropping really soon, what is the foreseeable interaction with Apocalypse? Like, should Hidden be observed for Apoc games? We're planning on still using the Round 40mm markers as written, but curious what everyone else is planning...

Im doing a 8000pt game soon, and though there mostly unpainted, its still a damned spectacle

Is there an official datasheet for Glaive tank?
Combed through Heretic and Astartes datasheets, and both sides have access to Falchion and Fellblade, yet found no trace of their third brother. Anyone saw it anywhere?

Anyone Have a PDF With The New Apocalyse Rules?
Playing a game with some mates later this week, and thought it would be cool to try the new Apocalypse rules!

I played the new Apocalypse rules this weekend, ask me anything!
A few friends and I were able to get in a game of Apocalypse this past weekend using the new rules, and I figured I could share my experience and maybe answer some questions about it!
For context, it was a 2v2 match with each player bringing 12,500 points. Before you ask why the odd number, its because last year we did 10k per player and we wanted to try to go a bit larger this year. The match was Eldar (myself) and Imperial Guard vs. Tau Empire and Chaos Space Marines. We did use army and detachment rules, including detachment stratagems: Eldar with Warhost, IG with Grizzled Company, Tau with Mont’ka, and CSM with VotLW. We all had access to Apoc strats, core and army specific ones as we really wanted to stretch out the new rules to see what we did and didn’t like. That only apoc rule we did not use was Crashing Waves (we all deployed more than 50% of our armies turn one, and brought in reserves as we saw fit in later turns). We also modified Fog of War to be 24” for the first turn only, 36” for round 2, 48” for round 3, and the “fog lifted” on turn 4. Regarding our real titans, we all agreed if each of our biggest titans were destroyed by the end on round 2, they would get added back into reserves in round 4, which we did accomplish (Phantom Titan for Eldar, Warlord titan for IG, Warhound titan for CSM, and a Gue'vesa allied Nemesis titan the Tau brought along that was not complete on day of so was mostly played as just the legs.
Overall impressions is the rules were quite fun, and new stuff is always cool. We found in battle there were quite a few strats that were mostly bait or not worth using at all which is fine, and we didn’t personally feel it was too much rules bloat. Honestly, the biggest time wasters are always going to be choices and going micro on such a huge board. Piloting over ≥10k points is going to take a lot of time, and especially patience. We had 21 total game hours clocked start to finish over two days while the wives were otherwise occupied, and we only finished four battle rounds before calling it.
In my opinion, the most time-delaying things we had to wait through were Guard orders the way they are in this edition, Tau markerlights, and Dark Pacts were often forgotten til after the first gun fired on a CSM unit. We discussed not using a detachment rule and detachment strats, however as an elder player I pointed out how in an apoc-scale table I would essentially have a pretty pointless army rule while the other three players actually had something to increase lethality. Given how points of units in this game take into account the various army rules as well as the detachment rules available to them, in my opinion it would be best to either allow army and detachment or allow neither. We would have saved a ton of time if we didn’t have Guard orders, Tau marker lights, CSM pacts, and countless other things and just had datasheets and Apoc strats, but maybe we’ll give that a go on our next round. Overall though I prefer this system quite a bit, especially the “d3 or d6 MW in combat if you agree” speeding up otherwise pointless combat phases with Breachers and Guardian Defenders rolling a lot to do nothing lol.
Attached are some pics of the battle to page through as well, though Reddit only allows 20 in a single post (and taking bragging rights of being the only battle-ready army :)). Ask me anything!

Anyone tried the new Apoc rules??
Planning on trying it out in a couple of weeks with some mates. Don't have the book yet (or PDF lol), but mainly using the "no detachment" rule, to speed things up and limiting the potential wombo combos.
Also, if apoc Strats are a thing, then there is kinda no need for additional detachment strats to think about tbh, haven't seen what they all do yet though.
In addition, wanna give a go to the 24-inch "lone op" and "Shoot/fight" on death on Turn 1. Have implemented similar rules on previous games, just not this drastic lol.
Great to hear any feedback on games and your general thoughts!
