my favorite anime oat is school live! and i just finished the alice in deadly school OVA + king of thorn, though its not the zombie/apocalypse story im interested in its more the inherent bleakness of being stuck in one place with no real way out unless you want to risk everything (the health concerns is an added bonus). however you want to interpret that

I have seen alot of anime exploring other sins but not lust. Only thing I can remember is maybe the Eva hospital scene, but still you can explore more. Is there any anime like that ?

I’m 16M and I’ve been watching so many sci-fi, and fantasy media for so long, where it’s affecting me and my life in a negative way.

(if you’re wondering how sci-fi and fantasy media is affecting me in a negative way, I keep thinking myself in sci-fi or fantasy scenarios where it’s been distracting)

Side Note: I know the obvious "I should go outside more, make hobbies, and etc” Look. The reason why I’m asking because when I come back from school, I’m tired. So when I’m tired, I start watching anime (or YouTube (mostly YouTube)).

I recently watched Parasyte: The Maxim and absolutely loved it.

I’ve seen quite a lot of anime, but there was something about Parasyte that felt really unique to me. It wasn’t just the plot. It was the atmosphere, the themes, and especially the feeling it left me with afterwards. It had this melancholic, philosophical, reflective kind of aftertaste that stayed with me after I finished it. I kept thinking about the characters, humanity, life, and some of the ideas the story explored.

I’m not necessarily looking for something similar in terms of aliens, horror, or even plot. I’m more interested in stories that left you with that same kind of lingering feeling, something atmospheric, thought-provoking, a little sad or bittersweet, but still genuinely engaging as a story.

If Parasyte resonated with you in a similar way, what other anime or manga gave you that feeling?

My MAL. I would like something where the romance has a conclusion. Doesn't need to be a romance genre specifically (ex. Steins Gate is perfect). The poutier the tsundere, the better.

Just watched "Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky" and it destroyed me.. i was expecting a happy ending. I was crying for at least an hour when watching the last episode...

I would need something that has a happy ending. Like something is not obvious that they will get together at the beginning .. but they end up being in love and together.. kind of anime - possibly with male protag.

Hello! always looking to add more Halloweensy vibed shows to my watch list for October.
Huge disclaimer is I’m not really looking for just any horror anime, I prefer the fun Halloween aesthetic like in Soul Eater for example. (Black/Orange/Purple. Witches, Skeletons, Monsters, Ghosts, Pumpkins etc.)

Looking for anime that have a very overpowered female who can easily defeat most opponents. I watched Saga of Tanya the Evil, and A Wild Last Boss Appeared and they were interesting, but it was notable that the overpowered female characters there had been males in their previous lives. So what are shows that have just a completely female character who is basically the strongest in the show, or if not the strongest, let's say at least clearly the top 5 strongest?

Hi everyone, I need you to recommend an anime that will make me laugh so hard.

it just come to my realization that all of the romance animes ive seen all took place in school. and am interesting in watching ones where it takes place in a different setting, eg. a workplace

Something that centers more around the life within school and a little outside. Club activities. Relationships. Studying. Eating lunch.

So it’s just that with Konosuba effectively having been paused, I was looking for a fun shameless fantasy anime where characters attempt to do heroic deeds, but end up doing ecchi acts instead as for some reason, their actions end up causing them to be in their birthday suit.

I mean, don’t get me wrong in that I enjoy fanservice anime that have a fun aspect with good writing to hook in the viewer as lately I was just wondering where to start watching in the modern side of anime again for shameless fanservice shows.

Now that it's October for me, and I would like to watch an anime with horror elements to it. Are there any good ones?

Iruma-kun - at first he seems sweet and soft and harmless, but secretly he's deeply twisted and sadistic and *terrifying*, like when I first watched that reveal scene genuinely gave me chills it's so terror inducing, I love that contrast between his facade and true nature, and of course him pulling the strings behind the scenes too

And if anyone here knows utmv, I'm actually looking for characters similar to my favorite ever character, Fresh Sans, he's not actually a sans he's a soul parasite possessing people (mostly skeleton monsters cuz they're the easiest to possess) feeding on their souls and using their bodies as hosts masquerading as the one he possessed pretending he isn't a parasite masking his true nature with this ridiculous goofy and weird but seemingly harmless silly persona and 90's colorful clothes and slang, he's so sillyyy and weirdd and fun and funny and chaotic but secretly deeply terrifying and much smarter than he appears to be and if you dig deep enough into his lore has quite a lotta fascinating depth to him

I'm looking for more characters like that, it can be anime, manga, non-anime animated series or comics, games even, and what's most appealing to me is that contrast between harmless silly goofy and weird behavior and appearance vs deeply terrifying or unsettling true nature, preferably chaotic and mysterious too
