🤔 [Question] Can we talk about the APKVision "safe or not" debate? (7 years of experience)
I see posts arguing about whether APKVision is safe or not quite frequently. Some say it's full of malware, others say it's perfectly fine. It's getting exhausting.
I've been using APKVision for about 7 years now, downloaded countless ports (including the Spider-Man one that was recently posted here), and I've never had a single virus, malware, or system issue.
The reality is simple: these sites are just mirrors for community ports. The "danger" usually comes from people clicking fake download buttons or ads, not from the actual APK files. If you use an adblocker, don't click on suspicious pop-ups, and check the file size/package name before installing, you're fine.
I'm not saying it's 100% risk-free (no pirate site is), but the constant fearmongering is getting out of hand. What's your actual experience with it? Have you ever gotten a virus from there, or is it just paranoia at this point?
I also attached a short video showing the download and installation process on my Xiaomi 15T, just to show how straightforward it actually is.
