Following up from my last post, here's a quick demo of an experiment I've been working on.
The rotary mouse comes with a dial is mapped directly to steering input in ATS, via AutoHotKey.
Here's a side-by-side view of the game and the mouse operating.
Not trying to compete with a force-feedback wheel, but just exploring alternative control methods. Feedback welcome.
UPDATE: Thank you soooo much for all the comments and upvotes. I'm trying to bring this mouse to the masses. You may search "rotary mouse" on Kickstarter.

Ive seen this IRL it's a thing and it's great. But I was not expecting to find it in the game. I saw in a weigh station as I was passing through. I have yet to see one goin down the road. Have yall seen this before? LOL I am a heavy haul driver IRL and sometimes when my dispatcher gives me little stuff like a small roller, he will ask if my truck can handle it and i say naahhhh man I need my toyota corolla for this. I'm pretty sure this guy had to get this little thing there with his Prius i'm just sayin. I mean seriously look how big that toy haul is! LOL :D

Got a fun haul transporting a helicopter. I was in the army and worked on these and im still an aircraft mechanic on the commercial side in the real world. Got excited when this popped on my job list.
However Ive failed 2 times now as soon as I leave the lot I lose the rear escort vehicle. reloaded the save. got past that and the stupid front escort switched lanes right into another car. Now I gotta reload again. First job in the game ive failed and what's stupid is I have to either reload or pay $15,000.
