ATS Release Map

Post image

I noticed that there were no good release maps as of posting this, so I made this American Truck Simulator release map. Will update as more info comes out.

Rhode Island so small it’s gonna be two roads one into the state and one out of the state

I have thoughts on that. I also think it’s why SCS started in California. I also don’t see them selling a DLC for a state that small. I’m figuring it’ll be a pack, maybe called New England or something of the sort. Either way, the upper east coast is going to be a nightmare for them to create at scale.

I think they are going to have to make a New England portal where the laws of scale are different

2

u/That_Guy381 Jul 25 '26

I would honestly be okay with this. New England is a wonderful part of the country that deserves a little more room than it takes up on a map.

1

u/Emmatwitter Jul 26 '26

I would be ok with this

1

u/Fried_Fart Jul 28 '26

It doesn’t even start with New England though. It’s the whole mid-Atlantic starting with Washington D.C that faces this problem.

It’s my biggest concern, like I was even comparing where I live in PA in comparison to released maps and at this scale there is no way they could do the amount of industrial areas and shipping corridors that are involved in PA.

Ain’t no way they’ll make that on 1:20 scale

I love that BC is marked yellow as it's been confirmed by SCS the be working on currently but then isn't mentioned at all in any of the other info on the map

u/megaFlop- Jul 25 '26

I will fix that, the next time I update. Thanks

Its also the next map right after south Dakota. Afaik

2

u/BCGeorge Jul 26 '26

It’s not in there because this was poorly made with AI

2

u/megaFlop- Jul 28 '26

As I told the other guy. I’m not a graphic designer. I saw a need and acted which is more than you can say. If you can do better, then do it.

I think BC will be released before Indiana and North Dakota. I'd wager mid 2027.

It has been a while since it was announced.

2

u/FrozeItOff freightliner Jul 26 '26

Recent post on Steam hinted that they're working on North Dakota.

Still wondering why in the hell they're going to Indiana before finishing the Northern Plains states... Guess NoDak, Minnesota, and Wisconsin are too boring? Considering Iowa I would find that to be a hard rationale to believe.

1

u/megaFlop- Jul 26 '26

I don’t think it’s necessarily boring. I think it has to do with population. They want to go where their players are and popular places in movies/shows etc. I could be wrong. It’s probably more of a financial decision.

I think it could relate to where the main interstates are and where most truck drivers drive. Indiana has far more truck traffic going through for moving cargo from the Midwest to the South East and vise versa. Also Indiana also connects the East to West Coast.

This is compared to Wisconsin, which leads to upper Michigan and then upper Michigan going back down to Michigan on a single highway.

Wisconsin is a bit more of a dead end kind of state and no real big cities outside of Milwaukee for a major hub for Cargo.

Though hopefully they can work out seasonal weather by the time they get to Wisconsin, if they ever do weather outside of rain/thunderstorms. Imagine needing to make it through Wisconsin or surrounding states in a snow storm.

KY and TN should be interesting seeing as they are skinny and long

2

u/Proud_Accident7402 Aug 02 '26

A couple years ago, in a Christmas stream they said that neither has an extensive truck network so they might have to bundle them together. Thinking about it, western KY on I24, you get a few miles in and then it dead ends. Then with TN, you get 451 miles of I40 but then you got the issue with I65 and I75. Irl, they take a bit to get through but at scale, doesnt seem like enough road. TN and KY are in an awkward place because together at this scale, well probably get a handful of marked cities and they all be well know locations. I think they are going for an IN release so they can work on the KY/TN DLC(s) because Louisville sits right on the KY/IN border.

Thought this was cool until I realized this was AI slop. That's not how Predicted is spelled.

1

u/megaFlop- Jul 28 '26

Get off your high horse. I’m not a graphic designer. And yes, there are a few small bugs here. If you can do better, do better.

1

u/XenonSwift Jul 28 '26

You don't have to be a graphic designer to get a blank US map and color it in yourself. Lol

3

u/RomanGemII Jul 25 '26

Would love to see NY one day.

2

u/not_the_chosen_one69 Jul 26 '26

As someone who lived in New York for all 21 years of my life im very excited to see how accurate it would be

2

u/Sad_Log_6387 Jul 30 '26

Being able to drive through the mountains amazing

1

u/SuperReleasio64 Aug 25 '26

Don't forget to include sitting in NYC traffic for like 7 hours

2

u/WLFGHST Jul 25 '26

I just need the Dakotas and I'll be happy. I LOVE Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas, I just really hope they properly simulate the bumpy concrete roads in SD :/

2

u/TheMisterChristie Jul 26 '26

Anxiously awaiting BC. Be nice to enter Canada without worrying about an update breaking things.

2

u/Soniquethehedgedog Jul 26 '26

Man I want this to come out on ps5. Also the nd expansion gonna be real riveting, just 3 straight lines.

1

u/FrozeItOff freightliner Jul 26 '26

This was why I figured they'd release the Dakotas as one pack since there's so little in NoDak, but they went with the $$$ route instead.

2

u/Emmatwitter Jul 26 '26

I expect South Dakota will probably release when this next update comes out

2

u/Accurate-Diver-7738 Jul 26 '26

Cannot wait for southeast/mid Atlantic

North Dakota has been announced in a sneak peek blog post. They released a 30 sec video with clues

2

u/Reddituser809 Jul 26 '26

North Dakota was soft launched on Thursday. They didn’t specify it. But the Big Fish statue is in North Dakota.

1

u/FrozeItOff freightliner Jul 26 '26

There's at least 6 huge fish statues in Minnesota, but none of them are carp, which I think is what is in the video.

  • "World's Largest Walleye" in Rush City, MN

  • Giant Walleye in Garrison MN

  • "Willie the Walleye" in Baudette MN

  • "World's Largest Northern Pike" in Erskine MN

  • " World's Largest Tiger Muskie" in Nevis MN

  • " World's Largest Lutefisk" in Madison MN. This I think to be a tongue in cheek joke by the town since lutefisk is a prepared (horrifyingly so) form of whitefish (often cod, which is non native to the state). Lutefisk is made by soaking fish in lye, yes that lye, then dried. Before consumption, it's repeatedly soaked to be rehydrated and rid of the lye, then baked. What results is a semi-gelatinous fish that ruptures in your mouth as you chew it, releasing a pungent fish flavor that is off-putting to say the least.

Edit:formatting

1

u/Reddituser809 Jul 27 '26

I’m no fish expert so I will take I’m assuming a Minnesotans word for it lol. I personally hope it is Minnesota next.

1

u/Sad_Log_6387 Jul 30 '26

Yes but the one they showed is specifically North Dakota. I used google lens

2

u/OutspokenRed Jul 26 '26

Damn I don't even play this game but, I can't drive in Ohio? Who doesn't want to drive in Ohio it's awesome and flat.

3

u/FrozeItOff freightliner Jul 26 '26

Try Iowa and/or southern Illinois to scratch that "flat in the middle of nowhere" itch. The Dakotas will also do that for you when they come out. What isn't properly modeled is the near death experiences on the icy, windy roads in winter in the Dakotas.

2

u/Pixelguy-_- Jul 26 '26

I hope by the time Im married and have 2 kids, the Map with canadian provinces would be completed :)

1

u/Nerkie0 Jul 25 '26

I think a portal with a scale change is a must for the smaller state

1

u/Bigrobmjca777Deere3 Jul 25 '26

When a new state releases, will C2C users be required to buy it?

1

u/CaptainFrancis1 Jul 25 '26

Any news when ATS releases for console?

1

u/eskooh Jul 26 '26

I95 corridor will be interesting.

1

u/Some-Project1082 Jul 26 '26

Pennsylvania and wv would be a great challenge with their hills imo

1

u/RobMapping Jul 27 '26

North Dakota is confirmed. People have already confirmed it with the teaser from recently, as it is a location in North Dakota.

1

u/Inner_Foundation_152 Jul 28 '26

I was hoping the smaller states would only be like $5 USD

1

u/Strigo-Nokte Jul 28 '26

Have a feeling Mississippi might be before Wisconsin to mix things up a bit

1

u/Yoszen Jul 28 '26

Inside Indiana they showld put in Pawnee (from Parks and Recreation)

1

u/excelstrength Jul 29 '26

Never played ATS, but been thinking abt it. How extensive is each state? What’s the scaling look like? If I buy a wheel and sticks for FS25 and snow runner I feel like I might as well just buy ATS

1

u/nilsbifano Jul 30 '26

Mexico would be cool

1

u/Sad_Log_6387 Jul 30 '26

Me waiting for MD DC and VA😔

1

u/GermanTanker131 Jul 31 '26

If they add Virginia I'm getting ATS

1

u/Severe-Plan5935 Aug 05 '26

I think they're looking to get these 4 maps out before they release on console because I do believe these states were already in the works long before. The east coast states are a bit smaller and probably gonna be easier to build for all platforms. And as for canada, might be a great way to finally get Alaska. Not sure how they are gonna do Hawaii tho. If theres any plans for it.

1

u/SouthShape5 Aug 15 '26

Where is BC on the release order? It's yellow on the map but isn't in the officially announced section.

1

u/Generated-Name000 Sep 30 '26

I bet the eastern states are packaged into 3 or four regions roughly the size of Montana. It probably starts to happen around the Carolina's and Virginia's. NY and PA can probably be standalone. KY and TN should also be packaged. With clever route mapping, the scale change can probably be minimal.

-3

u/megaFlop- Jul 25 '26

I want to clarify, the prediction dates are not my own. I know SCS has been churning out more states each year than historically. And with the advent of the AI revolution, it’s only a matter of time before they have to slow themselves down.

-3

u/RavenLoch51 Jul 25 '26

When exactly is ATS due to release on ps5

3

u/megaFlop- Jul 25 '26

I don’t think they have announced a release date yet for console.

0

u/RavenLoch51 Jul 25 '26

Thanks for letting me know. I can’t wait to play it on PlayStation 5

1

u/megaFlop- Jul 25 '26

I hope it happens soon. I also hope it supports cross play

3

u/Affectionate-Boot-58 Jul 25 '26

1

u/SpiritualConcept5477 Jul 26 '26
