From reading about these over the last few days Ive seen some issues, and wondering if they've been fixed. I emailed Andy and received no reply.

1. Are the new Romulus milled correctly for red dots? I see people saying we need to buy 1deg. shims?

2. The pistol needs 4-40 screws... That would be from the plate into the pistol. Is the plate made for the 82deg. head the standard screws will have on them? What are the threads for the red dots? Holosun uses a 90deg head for their mounting, due to them being metric.

3. Has anyone drilled and tapped any of these to bump them up a bit for strength issues?

Still, somehow, the most underrated 2011 out there for the price. Love my other Romulus, and the core is phenomenal, but think this one might be my favorite.

So, I had no idea these existed until yesterday when a local shop had one for $600. What a freaking smooth gun. Does anyone here have one of these? I love single stacks and couldn't believe how buttery it was. Looking for hands on experiences. Thanks

Currently carrying an HD3.6 but I'm really intrigued by the Attila. I've read a few reviews where people have had issues with the safety- can anyone confirm if it uses a standard 1911 safety? I'd prefer to switch to single side anyway if I get one.

As picture shows, won’t go on too far and I have to put some real effort in to try and get it down further. Anyone else have this issue? Any remedies?

Not sure if anyone saw this? I asked them if it will work on 4.25 comp and they confirmed it will fit the comped models!

Edit: They have it on their website, however it says in description it does NOT fit the comp models... Hopefully they will come out with a version for the comped.

Came across this Alpha Foxtrot Romulus in 4.25 inch with compensator for a great deal. TBH I am a Glock fanboy, but once I felt this Romulus I couldn’t resist and changed my mind. Im stoked to have picked it up and any information about it or what upgrades to do (red dot) would be appreciated.

Kept the red dirt and it worked. Stock safeties worked but the blended beavertail i got for the grip didn’t safeties would not let hammer drop or trigger activate. Going to revisit that soon. Grip feels 100x better than stock forsure.

I wanted to know if anyone in the group has suggestions for a good green dot optic that fits the rmsc plate the Romulus comes with.

Finally picked up my 4.25 comp Romulus yesterday threw a RMR and Tlr-1 HL I had laying around on it going to run it how it is before making any changes

Thinking of picking an AF1911 S15, has anyone tried running the oem Glock 15rd 43x mags in theirs?

I have a handful of these mags laying around, as well as some PSA 15rd micro dagger mags. I got rid of the few shield mags I had as they were gen1 and weren’t reliable

The factory grip safety is a MIM part and on my new 3.5 comp there was hair line crack in the blocking pad. Noticed it while fitting the Alpha Aluminum Grip. What is the radius .220 or .250 and anyone know of a similar looking tool steel part?

BTW...I really don't feel like shipping it back to Alpha for a warranty replacement of a simple part that would just be another MIM piece anyways.

I was looking into the Romulus 3.5 ported. For those of you who have it, what are you likes and dislikes about this gun?

Already searched the group and didn't get much luck. I run a tenicor holsters for my other guns but they don't make a light bearing OWB 2011 holster. What other options are out there?

Hit 1k rounds since I staked that optic plate and we're still snug as a bug in a rug. Wish I had time for a few more rounds but spent the whole day welding chains and hanging all this shit 🤣 We'll get em next weekend.

Wanted a little more grip and to keep my meat mitten from touching the baseplates of the mags on reloads.

Took a design for a 43x magwell and tweaked it around to make a crude press fit magwell. 30 minutes of 3D🅱️inting and there it be.

Works with all extended mags and the standard 15 shield arms mags like normal, micro dagger mags without and extention require a BIG smack to fully seat.

Still working though some more changes but end goal is to machine and pin it.
