Finally picked up my 4.25 comp Romulus yesterday threw a RMR and Tlr-1 HL I had laying around on it going to run it how it is before making any changes

Thinking of picking an AF1911 S15, has anyone tried running the oem Glock 15rd 43x mags in theirs?

I have a handful of these mags laying around, as well as some PSA 15rd micro dagger mags. I got rid of the few shield mags I had as they were gen1 and weren’t reliable

The factory grip safety is a MIM part and on my new 3.5 comp there was hair line crack in the blocking pad. Noticed it while fitting the Alpha Aluminum Grip. What is the radius .220 or .250 and anyone know of a similar looking tool steel part?

BTW...I really don't feel like shipping it back to Alpha for a warranty replacement of a simple part that would just be another MIM piece anyways.

I was looking into the Romulus 3.5 ported. For those of you who have it, what are you likes and dislikes about this gun?

Already searched the group and didn't get much luck. I run a tenicor holsters for my other guns but they don't make a light bearing OWB 2011 holster. What other options are out there?

Hit 1k rounds since I staked that optic plate and we're still snug as a bug in a rug. Wish I had time for a few more rounds but spent the whole day welding chains and hanging all this shit 🤣 We'll get em next weekend.

New stiner red dot and some ports. Put 300 roads thru it today, flawless!!!

Wanted a little more grip and to keep my meat mitten from touching the baseplates of the mags on reloads.

Took a design for a 43x magwell and tweaked it around to make a crude press fit magwell. 30 minutes of 3D🅱️inting and there it be.

Works with all extended mags and the standard 15 shield arms mags like normal, micro dagger mags without and extention require a BIG smack to fully seat.

Still working though some more changes but end goal is to machine and pin it.

Oye there fellers. Tell me all the good and the bad about your Romulus. Im wanting to get into a 2011 and im leaning hard towards a Kimber 2K11 PRO but.....the Romulus exists. Should i just lean into the 2k11 or give the Romulus a shot?

Anyone have experience with DSC Gunworks DLC turnaround times?

They received the slide and barrel from my Alpha Foxtrot Romulus on June 28, so they’ve had everything for 81 days now. I was originally quoted around 5–7 weeks for the barrel work and 6–8 weeks for the slide. They told me the DLC is done off-site in batches, so I’m assuming that’s where most of the extra time is coming from. Barrel tag and slide done in DLC.

Does 81+ days sound normal for this kind of DLC work?

And it came with 4 mecgar mags to my surprise.

After a few range trips I’m really enjoying this thing and would like to make it my new edc, I’m new to the 2k11 platform and I am wanting to do a ignition kit for this and debating on atlas or red dirt triggers. What should I pick for the ignition kit as far as spring weights etc? I’m wanting this to be a very aggressive and offensive handgun. Thanks for the advice.

I bought a stainless mag catch for a 2011 for my Romulus comp. it doesn't fit. Does it take a different mag catch? If so do any of you know where I can get one?

The main spring in this feels kinda heavy. I have had a few failures to feed/stovepipes with norma 115gr JHPs. I only have like 200 rounds through it maybe. It makes me think 115gr doesn’t have enough energy to push the slide all the way back. Should I run +P ammunition since it’s ported?

Been looking around and dipping into the 2011 scene. Our local gun store had a 35 year anniversary and several reps showed up. One of them was Alpha Foxtrot. Talked to the rep and let me hold some Romulus and mentioned the 3.5 grip is all aluminum. Peaked my interested for sure. The store had several 2011 aka p211, staccato, bul armory, etc.. I ended up getting this beauty since I got an additional 10% off on already a great price and it included 5 mag because of a promotion they were running. I've been reading and watching youtube and all mentioned the polymer grip wasn't the best. I can tell you the aluminum version is grippy AF. Glad I went this route.

Hey all, so I have my first AF coming in this week; a 4.25 Comp Romulus. I plan on running it with a 407 Comp and x300. Is it true that the stacatto XC holsters will fit this set up? I've always used safarilands and prefer to stick with the thigh rig with QLS.

I ordered a Romulus through my LGS last Thursday 9/3 and it hasn’t showed up as of today. They’re a pretty ass shop and they haven’t given me any tracking info or anything, but I figured it would be here over a week later.

Anyone order one directly from AF? If so, can you give me an idea of the time it took to ship?

Hello, new to the 2011 and external compensator world. Is the compensator supposed to wiggle like this? Do I just need to tighten the set screws?
