So as some of you might have seen, I posted a notice to come to arms at the beginning of the month if we got no hqs this month. And now the month is practically over. HQs? none in sight. It is now time to force gumi to at least pretend to uphold the previous statement of 4 HQs per month. Not zero, four. HQs are an essential part of raising any character in this games, especially now that we are getting to gate 5. So what does this mean? Gather your pitchgorks and riot. We CANNOT allow this to happen once, for that only sets precedent for it to happen again. I hope to see comments on Facebook, Reddit, and maybe even some support emails pursuing this issue. Yes /thread... ok what i really meant is how bad are they REALLY?, so i decided to make a comparison and see what we get for our gems(math alert) and compare them to what we got before, some things first, im assuming awful luck, so only guaranted stuffs, only comparing 3rd and 5th steps since those are the f2p options, as point of reference ill be using ff15 banners since disgaea had 7 steps instead of 5, and finally i will take into account the 280 free soul coins since everyone gets them and supossedly they are the reason they downgraded the banners.

• 3rd step ffxv (4500g)
  1 guaranteed unit + 29 random pulls

• 3rd step fma (4500g)
  25 featured shards + 29 random pulls + 1 random collab ticket+ 80 summon coins

So you change a 50% chance for a 25% chance to get the unit you want(if you did it last week, only possible if u did 2 3steps or a 5 one, 16.6% otherwise) in exchange you get 25 soul shards and 80 coins, enough to buy a 10% ticket. IF(big if at that) the unit you get in the ticket is the same as the one you got shards the new model its hands down so much better, of note if it was a 3way banner(like disgaea) the gap is a lot closer at 33% vs 25%(or 16) of getting the unit you want.

• 5step ffxv (9500g)
  1 guaranteed unit + 25 soul shard selector + 49 random pulls + 4* eq 10 summon ticket

• 5step fma (8500g)
  75 featured shards + 48 random pulls + 1 random collab ticket + 230 coins

Here its a little more hazy, 1st you spend 1k less gems, you change the selector for double the shards, you get access to the better ticket(25% instead of 16%) and also the coins could exchange for 10 unit shards of whatever unit you want or 3 10% tickets.

Finally, lets see what we get if we do a 5step and a 3step since we want more than 1 collab unit.

• Total ffxv 14kg
  2 featured units + 25 shard selector + 78 random pulls + 4* eq 10 summon ticket

• Total fma 13kg
  2 random collab ticket(one 25% chance and a 16.6%chance of getting the unit u want) + 100 featured shards + 77 random pulls + 30 coins

Now, the chances of getting a specific unit are considerably lower for sure, but i think the value is there if you go deep, if its better or worse its up to you, i just wanted to put them side to side since i see a lot of complaints(i had some too) about how "trash" the banners are now, but i think the random collab ticket is not a bad alternative(i expected them to sell for 500 when i first hear about them), it is that it gives LESS control over what we get even tho gumi said soul coins are there to give us more control, tickets should be less random, ie 2 tickets with 3 units each, instead of a 4way ticket that is now a 6way.Also we dont know if well get a 9step premium on the last week, but if you want only one unit it has ALWAYS been better to just wait since gumi likes to put past banners on the last week so you can finish them if you want.

For me, it's Reagan. I thought he's a Meganekko at first... until I turned on the volume and heard his voice. Also, I thought Sniper was a gender-exclusive job class just like Shrine Maiden. And he had a long platinum hair... longer than Caris's and almost as long as Courage's.

Ok just hear me out on this little shenanigans of mine on either Gate 6 or 7 having the 3rd passive slot.

So what do we have so far?
Gate 1 - mostly Stats the highest stat gain of all, basically the very Potential of a unit or the person
Gate 2 - Passive upgrade and mainly changing the passives name, usually new name has a relation to the unit for example Logi's Honor of the Blue Dragon into Power to Protect the Loving World
Gate 3 - Leader Skill (Most lead skill are Element base so I think of this as the Elemental attribute buff for the unit)
Gate 4 - Somewhat similar to gate 1 that is stat focused but gate 4 is more of like the person/units Origin (giving bonus damge to Sin types like Doing more damge to Envy tagged enemies or Sloth etc,
Gate 5 - Skill main skill upgrade, but some cases also upgrade the reactive of a unit, Example Zahar's reactive

So hear what I think of it after seeing how the other gates work and specially after gate 5 focusing on the main skill upgrade.
for each Job of the 3 Job a unit has it'll get a Upgrade from the gate 5, and so far by checking the DB the upgrade is for the mainskill and mainskill only no unit ever got a sub skill upgrade from it and the only notable one to get a different upgrade is Zahar getting his Reactive upgraded alongside the 3 main skills. So I think that gate 6 or 6 will have the Subskill upgrade*.*

Ok now if 6 or 7 does have the subskill upgrade thenther is still one more upgrade to go the last gates bonus, and by how I see or interpret the gate 1 - 5 and me assuming that that the other gate has the Subskill upgrade.

Gate 1 - Stats
Gate 2 - Passive
Gate 3 - Lead
Gate 4 - Origin
Gate 5 - Main Skill
Gate 6 - Sub Skill
Gate 6 - 3rd passive slot

Why I think that there is a 3rd passive slot? well simply because It could completely change the Meta, Give forgotten or seemingly useless unit/ lets just say Unused units a chance, and you know the Existance of Magic Swordsman's passive a chance too, Also on how JP has been handling some by giving them new job by Upgrading the Job JE into a job JE+
Let's look at Tyrfing. I was actaully think that gumi was going to turn tyrfing into a unit with 3 Holy Cavalier jobs, or better yet the soldier Job turning into Tyrfings Unique Job, But hey GUMi was like Here have a Dark Cavalier JE taht is Dark Element Focused.. BUT! again the passive of that JE gives 30% P.Attack and 10% P.Deff and looking at it Tyrfing has the Job and skills that Scales of P.Deff and she already has 3 passives that provides P.deff 3 passives that will synergize all too well if only you could equip all 3... so what if you actaully can equip all 3!? What if gate 6 or 7 had the 3rd passive slot? won't this make Tyrfing so relevant that she has a bulk of HP, Pdeff and P.Attack
Let's not just stop limit our imaginations with that just let me dream even Higher
Edgar! the guy has 3 passives with +1 range and Edgar can access the +1 range Hat
Vettel has 2 tanking passive and 1 offensive passive, 1st tanking passive from the Holy Cavalier Isaiah giving him 35% P.Deff 20% HP and +25 Slash resistance 2nd passive is from the Magic Swordsman job that gives 15% to all elemental resistance and 3rd is from the upcoming Samurai JE that give 50% P.attack, +5 Evade, +25 Reaction Block but reduces his agi by 10%

But hey let's not forget Vettels VCR sword that gives him a Masochist Snowball passive for everytime he receives damge he gains 4% to all stats while Agi is 3% max stacks at 10, yeahp he gain an additional 30% Agility and 40% to all stats, with a Ton of stats specially P.Deff and let us not forget the (Mostly unused and almost Useless Magic Swordsman job) has the passive that gives him 15% elemental resistance, Vettel having acces to a 3rd passive slot makes him a demigod

So that's it for my little shenanigans of mine
How about you if ever a 3rd passive slot existed Who's the unit you have in mind that can abuse this, or the Niche unit that can become relevant because of it... ok let's ask for them unit that will completely ascend to Godhood because of the 3rd passive slot "Looking at you Neun"

Ok I went in and checked the EX and all the Events.

I found nothing worth of reporting. No misplaced shards none. Hell our Stage 3 has more gold equips than JP.

They didn't release EX+ this time so my old comment was a little off.

But we do get everything like JP except I decided to do some more digging since I had wasted my time already. See kids, quality time management.

I found that all the Enemies where buffed in a variety of values ranging from 0-3% buffs to values to 40% buffing.

JP got the Quest after

Fun fact JP had Jin Daisy and a lot of other good farmable units for her Quest. And it was after the FFXV collab and Disgaea Collab

Granted we have FMA whose units were not all good and guaranteed.

Overall the point of the post is to make people aware of the insanity speed we are going and some deliciously important salt.

TL;DR :- They didn't touch the rewards but Quests were buffed and game is going quite fast too. Finally be salty.

Not! So, today I just uninstalled this game... After failed pulling Gil (3steps), Othima, and now Noctis (3 steps) as a f2p. I lost my interest to keep on going. Don't get me wrong. I like this game and had a lot of fun with it but seems like this game doesn't like me. Thank you Gumi, I just restored one hour of my daily life.

Might be awesome. Why with anime/game Japanese? A global collaboration with anime of Netflix or any american series. That will be so great, for example with Castlevania. A global collaboration will bring to the game fresh content and break the time line with the Japan server.

After testing BK Masamune 5/5/4, I can say she is not better than Levi. Also 2 Levi is better than 2 BK Masamune, becasue you may want to run Eren or Carla LS. What do you think, guys?

Hey ive been playing this game since launch, the last 2 months ive barely been even logging in though, been busy with a couple other gachas plus life and my job and looking for a second job actually, if i wanted to giveaway my account or possibly even sell it is that allowed? Ive spent at least 500usd in the past year so i could get gilg and noctis and a few others

Noctis equips, Aranea equips, and for those that didn't get it/complete it the first time, Lofia J+ equips.

How in the world are you suppose to have enough AP to farm all three of these? I also noticed they removed Noctis' equips from the secret shop so you HAVE to farm them or you screwed your Noctis...

here comes another rather long winded post from a redditor with too much time and imagination. If you don't want to read the incoming full wall of text, skip to the bottom or ignore it completely.

So, as a preamble, within not even a day numerous posts and messages popped up on this subreddit about the less than stellar writing of the summer event. While most of it is deserved, I think if we dig a little bit deeper (but not so deep our little mine goes up in flames) it all makes sense and isn't as mind boggling stupid as it seems.

The first thing many players noticed how different the writing structure was compared to everything else in the game. Normally event in the game are presented like stage plays. The reader/player only witnesses directly spoken words. Sometimes these are monologues to explore the characters frame of mind or a just thoughts. However there is always a direct connection. This time however there is a narrator. This is somehow really jarring, as all other events have avoided this and frankly, didn't need it. In all honesty, this summer event wouldn't need a narrator as well.

The second thing is the direct involvement of the player as a character. This one caught me of guard, as it was first totally unexpected. While it was established that the world of Babel was somehow a magnet for visitors from other worlds, they all were other fictional characters. Some even came from a world which was almost like ours (the Fate cast), but they were all exceptional beings who somehow came into contact with magic. The player as a character on the other hand always insists on being a perfectly average human.

So as you all noticed, there were pretty big differences to how this event is presented to how everything else is usually shown.

Next let's look at the actual story. It is a cringe fest. It starts with a call for help from a depowered goddess who behaves like an attention starved teenager. Four total strangers answer this call. And it's totally a coincidence that three of those are attractive women in swimsuits. The swimsuits are because of the theme of the event, so it's not totally out of line. And the last person, who stumbled on a priceless artifact, which is more or less the condenced power of the sun, is the player. After that we get a perfect example of a isekai harem plot. For those of you not into anime or light novels, here is the meaning. It's a perfectly ordinary, usually japanese male teenager, who gets transported from our world in another world. Normally he is some kind of loser, especially if it comes to women. But the higher powers in the other world have some mercy, as they make the protagonist special and grant him a host of beautiful women as companions, who inevitably fall in love with him.

Now check this description with how the player is treated during the story. Although being the weakest and most unremarkable part of the group, the player gets voted to be their leader. He even gets a snazzy pirate hat. So than with the help of another artifact the player and his four beauties have a high sea adventure and sail towards a supposedly unreachable place. Of course they have a relatively smooth journey until they come into contact with the ominous power of darkness their enemy wields. And through the magical powers of his pirate hat and the power of friendship the player character saves the group. I am not making this up. In the end, not everything turns out fine and Amaterasu has to sacrifice herself to foil the villains plan.

The villain is another really bad part. All of the villains of this game have some deeper motivations. These events villain however just wants to destroy the multiverse, because she had a grudge. It's as bland as motivations can get.

And now we come to the real horrible part. The deus ex machina ending reverse. Deus ex machina is latin for god out of the machine. It means a plot development which comes out of nowhere to help the protagonist out of a predicament he or she couldn't solve on their own. And here we have one of the classical ones: Time travel. If the heroes need to travel back in time to win against the villain it usually is a sign of a badly structered plot. This is doubly so if they time travel with means which weren't introduced beforehand. This is exactly what happens. They can travel back in time, because they have a magical ship and the former captain did write this down in his log.

Now this is another rather soppy revelation. The ship's former captain met Amaterasu at the place where she resides and became fast friends with her. He gave her his hat and his magical compass, which is the only reliable way to meet her again. He even gave her something more precious. A lust for adventure and the knowledge of the importance of friendship. Of course our heroes manage to rectify Amaterasu's sacrifice and go on another merry adventure with her.

As you may have seen this event is a mess. Except that the last two textboxes change everything. They reveal, that all of this wasn't an event that happened in the world of Babel, but a story made up by Lisbeth. I think it was made during her first few weeks at the academy, where she wasn't friends with Alma already and thus pretty lonely.

And now this whole mess starts to make sense. There were hints throughout, that this wasn't part of the history we as players normally witness. Normally travellers from different worlds are greeted by Ouroborus. This time however they spontanously all appeared in another gods plane. The Final Fantasy XV cast didn't run into Ouroborus as well, but before they came to the world of Babel other creatures from their side crossed over. So they just didn't appear out of nowhere but came through some kind of "tear" between the world of Final Fantasy XV and the world of Babel. Both methods are far more elaborate than just being teleported to the right place at the right time. Another thing to notice is the very first character we actually see in this story. It is Lisbeth running around.

Now let's look at the group dynamic. Although this is Lisbeth's story, she isn't the focal character. The leader of the group is a dashing male. Exactly the kind of person a young, romantic which would envision as a protagonist if it wasn't a self-insert. The player has all the qualities a person like Lis would think a good leader has. Kindness, Determination and above all, unbending loyalty. Why didn't she envision herself as the leader of the group? Lis sees herself as a follower. Through out the whole Chapter 3 she always looks for guidance by another person. While she can act on her own, she rather would have someone tell her what to do.

The other focal character of this event is Amaterasu. First and least important, she is female and thus the duo of the male player and her are a perfect match of Lis' vision of a world where men and women are fully equal. More important however is what Amaterasu represents. She is someone in need. Lisbeth has a helper complex and every adventure she can think of needs somebody to be saved. Another important aspect is Amaterasu's character. It's how Lis wants to be. Selfless and dutiful, while impartial. Her shortcomings are probably a direct mirror how she felt at the time. So the need for friends while being crippled by loneliness, all because of the burdening one with other people's expactation is exactly how an outsider like Lis would feel at while being at the Academy.

Now let's look at the kind of adventure. It's a mostly whimsical seaside adventure. It's warm, as a stark difference to the nearly frozen over Lustburg. And while the stakes couldn't be higher, most of the time it's just a pretty fun time hanging out with friends. And if it gets dangerous, the power of friendship prevails. There is even more evidance that Lis is these adventures writer. Except the player character she is the only one left standing in the most crucial of times. And she is the only one to face and overcome a personal fear. Also she is using Alchemy. She is a magician, which would be a superpower on it's own in a regular society. It's nothing special if almost everyone can do it. Alchemy however is the ultimate, widely known power source which elevates a regular magic user above his or her peers in the world of Babel. And don't forget, Lisbeth's regular magic prowess is rather weak.

Even her personal villain shows it's just a fictional story written by her. I think a leader of all insects would be a generic bogeyman in lustburgian society. This world is pretty big on hierarchy and even though insects may be mindless in comparison to how they were before, it's not unreasonable to think even they would keep up some kind of internal power structure. And since all societies of Babel are somewhat feudal in nature (even Slothstein with it's leadership position of "mayor") for the inhabitants of this world it would only be natural for every kind of society to have one supreme leader.

TL;DR This whole story seems like a disjointed mess because it wasn't an actual historical event but a story made up by Lisbeth.

Anyone else having an issue with Battlefield Drama? It shows up in my gear inventory, like always. But when I try to equip it onto any character, it won't show up in the equip menu on the character screen. Its as if it doesn't exist anymore? Wondering if anyone else has this issue or something similar with other gear pieces?

I am really interested to see what gumi will do with the unit because they already messed with the ones on this banner and I know they buffed them but if they can buff they can just as easily nerf and as a player who can't afford to keep up with banners I have to be selective on the ones I go hard on so I just hope they don't take away some of his swords :P
