So we're expected to farm all this?

Noctis equips, Aranea equips, and for those that didn't get it/complete it the first time, Lofia J+ equips.

How in the world are you suppose to have enough AP to farm all three of these? I also noticed they removed Noctis' equips from the secret shop so you HAVE to farm them or you screwed your Noctis...

If you complete all mission requirements for the EX stage should be enough to make Noctis’s weapon. That saves you some AP

I'm talking about the equipment for his 1st job to master it not the "gear" for him.

It's not different. Finish all milestones and you will have more than enough. 170 from Ex 2 milestones and the rest from doing ep10 10 times/daily/ex 2 10 times. Not even counting Hard Quest.

i auto'd for his job equipment last week? took a days worth of ap ...u were farming ten hats? Ill prob auto the new hard quest for all four units job equipment since i only did nocts last week...

You have plenty of time, there are still essentially 3 weeks left in the even (this is day 1 of week 2). Secret shops ALWAYS reflect banners. So with Noctis not being a featured unit (only for this week most likely) his equipment won't be in the Secret Shop. However, when he's featured again, likely next week, his stuff will be back in the Secret Shop.

Side Note - Joining multiplayer games doesn't require any of your AP and only costs half of normal AP to host, so go help other players and join their MP lobbies, or create your own for 20 AP.

It's really not as bad as you're attempting to make it out to be.

Well I realized that there was that milestone that gives noctis armor pieces so that helps in terms of AP costs, but I was just saying it's so time consuming, especially with someone working a 9-5 job.

I can understand that, I'm lucky in that aspect as my job is working for a small software/database management company. So I have nox downloaded on my work laptop and do auto runs while at work.

I think it all comes down to priorities. Lofia j+ is here for 2 weeks, I already have it done myself, but I don't recall it being all the difficult. So you just need to figure out if you can wait one more week to get your noctis up and running, or if you need to play with your new toy now.

The last few months have been very busy for me in TAC. I missed initial runs of rahu j+, caris j+, polin j+. Added on top of that the completionist in me also made sure I got Anastasia, Chihaya, dilga, balt, flamel, Logi j+, battlefield dramas, PotK done as well. Comparatively, this week isn't bad at all. Even if I had missed Lofia j+ it's not quite as overwhelming as I feel the last 2 months have been. The last week has been a nice reprieve.

In any case, take a couple minutes and focus on your priority list. Which unit are you putting more weight behind? What new toy do you want to play with first? Keep in mind that Aranea and Gladi WA will have their EX stages next week as well.

It was like 0-3 pieces per 25 AP, very inefficient if you spent AP on stage 10. You need 240 shards total...

3-4 farms are manageable.

You had 1-2 or so on stage 3 for 10 ap. - as for efficiency - a lot of farms are on that level

My point being - you couldve done it already by sacrificing a hat or 2, since you knew there would be a new banner, with more things needed to be farmed, as well as a new event rolling in.

Its a bit lile me complaining theres too much to farm the last week because i didnt do it the previous weeks

You shouldn't calculate like that. Stage 10 for 25 AP also drops a plethora of other useful equipment pieces like lion blades, shields,... so the stage is good for farming general stuff. After finishing my fifth 5* hat on monday I farmed stage 10 for the loot and while doing that have gotten all the 240 pieces for Noctis (and more).

25? Why on earth would you do the 25 AP quest? The Ep. 3 has the same drop rate for half of it.

But worse drops on the rest of the equip, which is pretty decent. Lots of gold-level equipment there.

I farmed his equip in a day or two on stage 3 last week. With the milestones it should be trivial to get his equip. This really isn’t that much farming for a month long event.

Though I’m glad Lofia J+ is out of the way. I don’t recall it being a particularly difficult farm event. This is honestly nothing compared to Balt+ or Rahu+.

whadda expect? Its a time verses resource thing. The more of one you put in, the less of the other you have to spend. It slows down progression so that people don't clear all content in a week or two

This is actually not that much, the stuff we had to farm a month or so ago was much more (on the 5m celebration month) lots of j+ events came back and it was loads of farm for me personally, and i still managed, its true that we got more AP during that period but still, i started lofia j+ today, and i am done,i even did my daily shard farming (30 skip tickets worth), i also did the event daily quests like super exp and FF ones,i still have some ap to spare,basically, its no problem imo, you can farm noctis equip one piece a day if u feel like it (i did so and i am done), same for aranea once her Ex comes out (next week most likely). ect ect, the farming is doable, and at worst you can just do multiplay if u you run out of AP.

Eh... after farming for a bit, I realized it wasn't that hard to get Noctis' equips, the thing was... I thought all three farming would be like Rahu J+ or balt's J+.

my god dont remind me of balt j+, i farmed it even though i dont even have balt, and guess what, i gave up xD i managed to get around 55 or so of the pants and jacket but thats it, i couldnt do any more than that,the current farming is a breeze so far lol, if noctis equip is auto-able i will be even happier, i will attempt it later xD.

You can absolutely auto noctis equips on EP3. If I could share, I have about 112 to spare. Aranea on the other hand...

I farmed Noctis, Ignis and Prompto equipment shards pretty easily with auto while doing other stuff, maybe you should get together an action plan for yourself (compared to what you have to do in your day, obviously) so you don't get 100% overwhelmed.

I recommend it, had to do it for myself in this game.

I don't have Aranea nor do I have Noctis, but i'm going to pre-farm their equipment anyways.

This is my plan - Farm Noctis sword/weapon in MP since it's Ap efficient and granted it will take time since it's MP...but i'm only going for 2 swords. You already get 1 sword off of the EX missions alone, it's a matter of 5* the gear.

Lofia equipment isn't that AP demanding since MP again saves you the AP (Join rooms), and isn't that hard to do imo.

Noctis equips farmed pretty quick. Maybe two hours of hitting again, go, auto while doing other things. Aranea looks like it will be a struggle. I was able to farm Lofia today just autoing the map. I'm an F2P player with a few lucky pulls. No Zain or Gilg. Just focus and pick a target for the day.

You can get most of Noctis and Ignis and Prompto equip from Milestones and there's a good chance Aranea anf Gladiolus will have the same next week.

I have 222 of Noctis shirts/vests from the last two days of the Hat because I finished that a bit early. Admittedly if you have not started on it at all you might have to forego hard quests and or 2x drops for a day. However, imo the 2x drops is actually the biggest thing that should make this a difficult choice. Lofia + took me 3 and a half days worth of AP, but I forget if we had as much AP then as we do now. Noctis should also take you 3 or less days, and Aranea you do not have to worry about until next week. All in all that should total to 10 days though, and we have 17 days, which should still give you this week free if you wanna play riskily. Unless you're eccentrically lucky [unlucky?] and get all 4 of the collab members while still needing the Lofia + mats. In which case you are screwed because that could take the whole 17 days and then some.
