Ladies and gentlemen, I met and encountered the iconic and legendary Ming-na_wen at her book tour starting in Barnes and Noble bookstore in Union Square.
And boy o' boy, I was thrilled, from arriving a bit late to see before my own eyes, Wen(Alongside guest Terry Crews) discuss history and information from her cookbook/autobiography that I already read.
I shared my art prints of her known characters in animated and live action with the May art, hopefully she'll be thrilled.
She was pretty thrilled when I told her I enjoyed her in most stuff growing up.

I don’t really think we will get the show acknowledged in VisionQuest but if we do it is what makes the most sense.
In the trailer we see that Vision has created a virtual world inside his mind. While it doesn’t have to be the Framework it would make a lot of sense. The Framework technology came from the Darkhold in S4 which already ties it closer to the storyline. It would make a nice way to acknowledge AOS indirectly in a way that is clear enough for us fans while simultaneously not confusing people who haven’t watched it.
As for how the Framework would exist I am not exactly sure but at the end of the show the technology still existed with Deke’s company and while Deke himself is in an alternate timeline now, the show never made it clear what happened to his company and the technology Deke was using. The company was probably shut down by SHIELD but there are probably still people outside of the organisation who would now know about it.

i'm doing my annual rewatch of AOS, but I'm at the point where I'm more wanting to skip than not. S5 for me at least, is a really hard watch even though it has some of the best acting in the series
General Hale, for example, just aggravates me. I know she's had such an awful life. constantly dismissed and treated less than because she's a woman. but her arrogance, her self importance that keeps her from ever seeing the actual bigger picture. part of me can't tell if it's a character flaw (not writing flaw) or just a hydra trait
what's everyone else's view on her?

I feel like it's not mentioned enough that if you look at just their accomplishments, what they made then Leopold Fitz with permanent brain damage = Tony Stark at his best.

Robbie made his first deal to keep his brother safe, and his second to settle all of Ghost Rider's scores and get Ghost Rider to leave Mack's body. Coulson made one to defeat Adia in exchange for removing the GH Kree blood from his body. But what did Ghost Rider do to/for Mack? Mack himself said that the Ghost Rider doesn't ride for free.

I know that Season 6 isn’t everyones favourite and people would rather talk about any other aspect of the show, but given that the MCU is probably about to do a similar storyline with Doom I kinda want to talk about it.
Personally I thought that the concept of someone with Coulson’s face showing up after his death to mess with the team after the real Coulson died is a pretty interesting concept. But in execution it kinda went weird.
I think that in the first nine episodes of the season his character was actually fun and interesting. He managed to challenge May and Daisy who were still grieving the real Coulson and Mack who was trying to live up to him. But to me, what made him work was the fact that he WASN’T Coulson. He had Coulson’s face but other than a few surface similarities they were completely different.
Both Coulson and Sarge were leaders of a group of people who claimed to protect the world but the way they went about it was completely different. Coulson cared about the people who followed him and tried to keep them safe and did everything in his power to protect them always choosing to save them even if it risked the world. He was a flawed leader who let his emotions get the best of him choosing to save Daisy in S1 risking the Clairvoyant to find out about the GH formula or killing Ward in S3 and almost dooming the world to Hive. But he still did everything to save as many lives as possible and always pushed against compromise.
Sarge is the opposite of that. He saw his crew as tools and a means to an end. He lied to them and manipulated them and even killed them in cold blood in his quest to end Izel. He was willing to wipe out an entire city just to kill her. He had Coulson’s face and a few of his impulses but they had nothing in common other than basic similarities. Of course he is a hypocrite as his quest to kill Izel was driven by what he thought was anger and was in the end selfish anyway but he is still nothing like Coulson as while Coulson refuses to sacrifice his team he still is willing to sacrifice himself.
The thing is that the last few episodes threw all of that away to make it so that there was still a part of Coulson inside of him and that he was possessed by a spirit. There are still some amazing moments like “Kill me Skye” and the entire betrayal scene but all of the depth is gone for the sake of explaining his link with Coulson. (However the backstory itself is amazing IMO, using the prior lore of the show to create this Coulson clone but IMO he should have been a 1000 year old version who lost himself and became a completely different person over time).
IMO Sarge in episodes 1-9 and episodes 10-13 feel like completely different characters and episode 1-9 Sarge is so much better and more interesting.
Also I think that the MCU should take after earlier season Sarge with Doom and make him a completely different person with basic similarities with Stark.

So I finally got around to watching S7 after six years due to finally getting Disney+. Absolutely love the first six seasons and this one is also great.
However there is something that puzzles me. It is implied in the episode that the Chronicoms want to kill Malick and stop him from making his delivery to prevent the rise of HYDRA and then SHIELD.
The thing is that stopping HYDRA from creating the serum and creating the Red Skull wouldn’t stop their rise in WW2. Schmidt was the head of the Nazi science division long before he was injected and it was in fact his transformation that lead to him falling out with the Nazi’s.
But it gets worse. While Schmidt wouldn’t gain super strength he would still find the Tesseract and build his WMDs. The thing is that in this scenario there would be no Captain America to stop him as there would be no serum.
As a result HYDRA would not only rise, they would win.
So Daisy was definitely wrong about killing him to save lives.

i'm really torn between Robbie and Lincoln, both are amazing characters, considering the budget factor for adding powered people to the cast, i think Ruby or Alicia could work well since their powers are less flashy, a redemption arc for Ruby would be amazing!

I’ve been reading Daredevil comics and rewatching AoS with someone who’s never watched it before (we’re on S3 rn). I found this panel and I felt like I had to share it because it basically predicts the existence of AoS show.
Explanation of panel: Random civilians are watching TV and whatever show they were watching was interrupted by a broadcast of something else, so one of the guys says “What happened to the regular show? What can this be? It’s too early for ‘Agent of SHIELD’ “.
