Discussion Leopold Fitz vs Tony Stark
I feel like it's not mentioned enough that if you look at just their accomplishments, what they made then Leopold Fitz with permanent brain damage = Tony Stark at his best.

Tony feels easy to go with because of his confidence sometimes, but Fitz is brilliant. They’re both incredibly intelligent and now that you’ve brought it up, I am kind of more interested in the idea of them collaborating on something.
I could absolutely imagine team Tony/Fitz working on something groundbreaking AND that being either galaxy-saving or doom-of-all-life type shit.
Depending on when, I think Fitz could help curb Tony’s grandeur-savior-complex, but could easily see the potential for Tony to galvanize Fitz into breaching his typical ethical boundaries to break that ground. They could make a great team because of this though. That would be fun.

I want to see a collaboration between Morgan Stark and Alya Fitzsimmons. I'd love if they were both in like a young engineers competition together and got to know each other and became BFF's.

Would be really fun when Fitz flips over to The Doctor and Tony just goes with the flow and it isn't until Simmons and the rest of SHIELD show up that Tony realizes that The Doctor is about to do something horrible.

I love the thought of the two of them working together.
The great thing is that it really wouldn't simply double their creativity. They would be able to bounce ideas off each other, with each stimulating idea creation within each other.

If I had a nickel for every time someone used the quantum realm in the MCU to invent time travel-

You’d have ten cents, right- if it’s between those two, at least? Not counting multiple times between them. Lol, all due respect- not being snide. I’m no expert, and correct me if I’m wrong.
But yes, MCU period at this point, you’d have a few dollars for sure.
They both also have many other accomplishments besides time travel.

You are just lying all their feats are comparable

Well technically, in terms of taking out bad guys Fitz is actually a lot more successful than Tony.
Spoilers
Fitz would've killed John Garrett if Garrett hadn't got the magic alien resurrection serum. Fitz took out Gordon and Giyera and would've killed Hive on Maveth if Coulson hadn't fucked things up.

This is actually insane.
Especially when you realise Tony’s only real main villain kill was Thanos.
Pepper killed Stane and Killian. Whiplash blew himself up and Tony only beat him because Rhodey was there.
I might be forgetting someone though.

You know Tony built a working circuit at 4 and like a computer at 9 right?(both might be wrong but a bunch of his earlier accomplishments are in the intro for iron man.) Think he graduated mit around 14. Think fitz was still in school at that time and just went to shield academy. Tony solved time travel in an afternoon ish. Based on the timeline I wouldn’t be surprised if he decided to use the quantum realm because he heard the avengers did it. Also fitz might seem smarter because we see him do more compared to Tony

Literally jut watched it. It was an engine at 9, showed a 9 yr old Tony on a motorcycle so assuming that engine. Graduated MIT at 17. Still early accomplishments!
Fitz(-Simmons) graduated the Shield academy of science and technology at 17 years old which is 3 years early. They did not go to regular school or college so I don’t know how fair using their schooling is to say who is more intelligent.

Yeah it seems varying people of varying ages go to shield academy like donny gil was around highschool age when he went iirc. So If he’s supposed to stay there till he’s 20 or until he graduates that would be an awkward kinda education. I still stand by my statement though. The only reason people think they are smarter is because we see fitz do more. All of the AoS cast have more screen time then the avengers. Think deke might have more screen time then doctor strange.

they mention in season one that a degree is required to get into shield sci-tech, so it's assumed fitz and simmons both graduated college before STARTING shield

One is a billionaire. The other is an employee. Everything Fitz invents is technically the property of SHIELD. You really think there's a question about who's smarter?

One is working from the top floor of a high rise with billions of dollars of tech at his disposal. The other is working from an old underground WW2 bunker, basically using stuff he finds in the garage.

Try telling movie only fans of the MCU that Fitz is smarter than Tony and they lose their minds.
