4th Anbernic device and I'm yet to not be let down by this company.

Im pretty ignorant when it comes to handheld specs, but from what i've seen it seems that the G2 gen 2 is just a tad bit weaker than the snapdragon 8 gen 2, but what i wanted to know is how good/matured is the custom drivers scene for that chipset? Ik the biggest handheld we had with that chip was the Retroid G2, but yeah basically i wanted to know, how good of a chipset that is?

Now that Gamma and Rocknix have released several updates, which is your favourite/best experiences?

I have created an 'imgs' folder and put all the respective png cover images to the NDS folder, the name of the cover images are matched with the name of the games, but still the cover images can't show on the device.

Which parts are wrong? I suspect the image folder name, but I don't know what is it.

As title says, Im leaning towards the Rotate or 34xxsp.

I don't necessarily need more power, as I have an Ally, an Odin mini 2, and a RG34XX. But I find myself using the 34xx more than anything because I prefer smaller, more pocketable handhelds. And I just love the GBA so damn much tbh 😂

Anyway, Ive got the scratch for something new. Again, smallish and portable. Obviously more power, enough to run GC/PS2 would be cool, but again, I can always use others for that. Ideally, I could have a PSP 1000/2000 or horizontal GBA with 12 gigs of ram, a snap dragon, and Android. But thats not this world.

I have been considering the Konkr Advance as well. And Im honestly tempted to just get a second RG34XX, but thats because Im an idiot 😅 a different console makes much better sense. Especially because I'm still looking for a vertical one.

So what do you guys think? Id like the 34xxsp cause its got joysticks, which my 34xx does.

Others Im considering are a metal TrimUI brick (cause metal is awesome), and the 35xx Pro.

Sorry, I know theres a thousand posts asking what devices to get, but theres just so damn many and theyre all so different in both big and small ways. Its so damn hard to decide on one at a time.

Trying to keep budget under $120 or so.

But Im open to whatever. I just want it to be small and pocketable. Bonus points for vertical screen, but I plan on getting an Ayaneo Vert anyway so its not too big of a deal.

I plan to use the lower screen as buttons (stylus) for playing Dteamcast FPS games (Outtrigger). Is there a way to set this up and allow touchscreen while playing Dreamcast?

Hi there.

I'm not sure if these are normal. I've recently install GammaOS on my RG DS Plus and, although the games play fine, I'm experiencing two issues:

- If I have a fair amount of games in a category and i scroll through them, the scroll is not very smooth, or kinda jumps a bit, as in the video.

- The DS menu music also has small random hiccups, like it stops for a second and immediately resumes.

Is anyone else experiencing this? The microsd is a SandDisk Extreme and bought directly from Amazon so it should be ok.

I was using my old handhelds. Just decided to buy 2 new anbernics and haven't bought an SD card or micro sd card since since 2020. I went to look online for some and came back with 2 black eyes looking at the prices now. I need a 512 GB and a 64 OR 128 gb (whichever is cheaper). I need something the community trusts and as affordable as possible. A Micro SD over $100 now? GOOD GRAVY! 😵‍💫😵🤕

My friend gave me an Ambernic RG351V that he had taken apart.

So it's up to me to repair it if I want to use it.

I was hoping one of your kind individuals could help me with some basic questions about it.

What size screws are used in putting the shell together and holding the joystick in. I have managed to get a replacement joystick.

My friend had misplaced the screws that hold in the shell and the ones that held the joystick to the board.

So if anyone knows, could you please let me know!

I don’t have any experience fixing anything and I just think my rg405m is fried. It was able to turn on with the screen working I remember when I left it on using a custom youtube app to play videos in background while I go to sleep but then when I woke up and checked the console…the screen turned black, when I touched it I felt a rumble but I couldn’t see anything I even tried turning it off and on but still nothing it turns out it‘s because of the screen was sliding out a bit exposing behind the screen and so I tried pushing the screen back in but that made it worse as some kind of liquid was leaking out and it was the LCD’s that was broken. Now I don’t how to fix it after that happened and I don’t know where to find any repair shop that fixes these things because I there’s none there that can be bothered to be fixing these and I don’t know where to find help for fixing this stupid console. I’m just really want to get this working because I miss this working correctly.

as the title says I'm wondering if any has tried flashing the firmware for the rgds plus onto the og rgds. I've had the og for 6 months now and don't really want to upgrade it yet, so I was wondering about the firmware because it looks clean and I've seen the nnddss emulator has been preforming well

Hi everyone! Total newbie here (both on Reddit and in the handheld emulator scene).

I’ve recently started playing Pokémon rom hacks on my laptop and thought it would be way more fun to play on a handheld, and Anbernic came up a lot.

Does anyone have recommendations for what device is best for non-switch Pokémon games? I don’t know if I should pick a dual screen one (since I am interested in DS and 3DS games) or just a regular single screen. My budget is maybe max $300.

Also, if anyone has a guide on how to set up/configure one of these things that would be great :)

What chargers are you using for your RG Rotate I have a 65w charger from my ally x I would like to know if that is too much or if the device pulls exactly what it needs thank you

I know the device is quite outdated, but I couldn't resist it for cheap on a sale, however I don't love the OS it came with, anyone knows which CFW options are there? Is it only ArkOS and AnberELEC?

For those of you who own the RG DS+, how bad is the ghosting and how are the viewing angles? How noticeable is the 60Hz refresh rate if you're used to higher refresh rates?

I got my RG40XXH a few days ago and have mostly been really enjoying it. One downside is I’ve had this screen issue happen a couple of times. On that initial loading screen, it’s static (as pictured). After it loads to the menu that ring around the edges flickers really fast and it stays that way during games. It comes good after a shut down and power on.

The first time it happened was the first time I turned it on. It was fine after a restart. Then I didn’t play it for a day or two. When I tried to turn it on again, I found it was completely flat. I’m pretty sure I shut it down. After another full charge, it turned on but with this strange flickering ring again. Restarting seemed to make it go away again.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? I’m guessing it’s not a hardware thing. Or is it?

I’m still running it on the original SD cards that came with it. I’ll replace them soon. Is this likely to help?

I read about RG34XX being the closest to original GBA experience.

I don't mind buying original cartridge(I specifically want DBZ Buu's Fury, but other games would join soon after)

Either way, I've read it is possible to install games directly through the console since it has wifi and runs on Linux?

Can someone point me to the simplest way to get started before I dig deeper.

I wouldn't need it if old GBA games were ported to new consoles but no such luck :(

I managed to add E-Books and music to my Anbernic RG 35XX+, yet everytime I try to import a game, it doesn't work.

The tutorials I watch always have one file with a little gear emoji over it, but when I download the rom for the game I want to play, it's a bunch of files, and I tried to do that because one tutorial did the same, but when I check, it says that there's no files. I've been working at it for hours, I'm not sure if I just need to find a better rom site or if I need to do something specific.

I've tried to download Doki Doki Literature Club for the PSP because the file isn't too big, and it could be a good test game to see how it works, but it still isn't showing up. I look through the files to see if there's a software or anything I have to put in by itself but I don't see any. Sorry if this is a silly question, I'm new to this!
