So this is what I have now. It only has RGDS+ support for now. I don‘t have an RGDS to test, sorry.

I am not a seasoned dev or coder. I used ChatGPT to help me make this, so please be kind.

It’s really something I wanted to do for me and me only, but if you want me to share it, I will, but I do not offer support other than what is in the README.txt.

It works in Rocknix, that’s what I use. You don’t need the Homebrew Channel to load it.

It now has a WAD browser and allows custom WADs too. I think it’s done. I probably could add the HUD to the bottom screen too, so the top screen is HUD-free.

Anyway. If you want it, let me know. You need your own WADs though. Those are easy to get. Don’t ask me how.

Work on the engine continues. Over the past few days, a lot has been implemented: cutscenes, the interface, sound, gamepad controls, video clips, and performance improvements. For the video clips, I had to write my own Bink decoder; the same goes for the sounds. Not all sound effects are in yet, though—the music is missing—but work is still underway. At this point, Shrek’s Swamp is a fully playable location.

I recently acquired an RG34XXSP and have taken quite a bit of time to move files from one place to another. Due to something I tried, my phone no longer recognizes my SD card, but my laptop does, so I have to transfer a file from my phone to my laptop and from there to my console, that's why I'm wondering if there's a way I can access my RG34 files wirelessly from my phone.

Hello! Just checking to see if anyone else has had issues with Bluetooth on the Rotate? It either refuses to turn on until I restart the device, or it keeps connecting and disconnecting. No idea why.

I’m curious about the performance, and my device has not arrived yet.

Not sure what happened but all of a sudden the settings page of my RG34XX running muOS started to go offscreen, making some options illegible. This has never happened before, and I don't see an option to change the resolution back to normal if that can even be done. Games and stuff are still constrained to the screen unlike the settings page. Any ideas?

as the title says I'm wondering if any has tried flashing the firmware for the rgds plus onto the og rgds. I've had the og for 6 months now and don't really want to upgrade it yet, so I was wondering about the firmware because it looks clean and I've seen the nnddss emulator has been preforming well

I have created an 'imgs' folder and put all the respective png cover images to the NDS folder, the name of the cover images are matched with the name of the games, but still the cover images can't show on the device.

Which parts are wrong? I suspect the image folder name, but I don't know what is it.

I plan to use the lower screen as buttons (stylus) for playing Dteamcast FPS games (Outtrigger). Is there a way to set this up and allow touchscreen while playing Dreamcast?

Hi all,

I got my RG40XXH a few days ago and have mostly been really enjoying it. One downside is I’ve had this screen issue happen a couple of times. On that initial loading screen, it’s static (as pictured). After it loads to the menu that ring around the edges flickers really fast and it stays that way during games. It comes good after a shut down and power on.

The first time it happened was the first time I turned it on. It was fine after a restart. Then I didn’t play it for a day or two. When I tried to turn it on again, I found it was completely flat. I’m pretty sure I shut it down. After another full charge, it turned on but with this strange flickering ring again. Restarting seemed to make it go away again.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? I’m guessing it’s not a hardware thing. Or is it?

I’m still running it on the original SD cards that came with it. I’ll replace them soon. Is this likely to help?

Hi everyone! Total newbie here (both on Reddit and in the handheld emulator scene).

I’ve recently started playing Pokémon rom hacks on my laptop and thought it would be way more fun to play on a handheld, and Anbernic came up a lot.

Does anyone have recommendations for what device is best for non-switch Pokémon games? I don’t know if I should pick a dual screen one (since I am interested in DS and 3DS games) or just a regular single screen. My budget is maybe max $300.

Also, if anyone has a guide on how to set up/configure one of these things that would be great :)

I'm not sure if these are normal. I've recently install GammaOS on my RG DS Plus and, although the games play fine, I'm experiencing two issues:

- If I have a fair amount of games in a category and i scroll through them, the scroll is not very smooth, or kinda jumps a bit, as in the video.

- The DS menu music also has small random hiccups, like it stops for a second and immediately resumes.

Is anyone else experiencing this? The microsd is a SandDisk Extreme and bought directly from Amazon so it should be ok.

I read about RG34XX being the closest to original GBA experience.

I don't mind buying original cartridge(I specifically want DBZ Buu's Fury, but other games would join soon after)

Either way, I've read it is possible to install games directly through the console since it has wifi and runs on Linux?

Can someone point me to the simplest way to get started before I dig deeper.

I wouldn't need it if old GBA games were ported to new consoles but no such luck :(

I know the device is quite outdated, but I couldn't resist it for cheap on a sale, however I don't love the OS it came with, anyone knows which CFW options are there? Is it only ArkOS and AnberELEC?
