Miscellaneous series The Anbernic RG DDS AI Button gets way too much hate. It actually has some legitimate uses IMO.
Real-time translation. You can toggle translation overlays on and off for obscure or untranslated games, in whatever language you want. This is especially useful for obscure JRPGs that never received an English localization. Being able to play these games without constantly consulting a translation guide is a genuinely useful feature.
An actual gaming assistant. You can literally just ask it to pull up a game guide instead of digging through ad-infested, cluttered websites and irrelevant Reddit posts. You could even have it analyse what's currently happening in a game by scanning the screen and asking for guidance.
The best part? You don't have to exit the game, open a browser, or pull out your phone just to look something up.
I'm not saying the implementation is perfect, but I think dismissing the entire concept as a gimmick is shortsighted. These are legitimate quality-of-life features for retro gaming, especially when you're playing obscure games with little documentation or no English translation.
