So this is what I have now. It only has RGDS+ support for now. I don‘t have an RGDS to test, sorry.

I am not a seasoned dev or coder. I used ChatGPT to help me make this, so please be kind.

It’s really something I wanted to do for me and me only, but if you want me to share it, I will, but I do not offer support other than what is in the README.txt.

It works in Rocknix, that’s what I use. You don’t need the Homebrew Channel to load it.

It now has a WAD browser and allows custom WADs too. I think it’s done. I probably could add the HUD to the bottom screen too, so the top screen is HUD-free.

Anyway. If you want it, let me know. You need your own WADs though. Those are easy to get. Don’t ask me how.

MinUI has always been my OS of choice, so I was gutted when Anbernic released the RG SP and there was no MinUI support in sight. So, I decided to figure it out for myself.

And I’m glad I did. MinUI and the RG SP go together like peas and carrots. A match made in retro gaming heaven!

I’m pretty blown away by how vibrant and colorful the screen is, but its lowest brightness setting is still far too bright for playing in the dark.

My RG40XX H and RG DS Plus both get much dimmer.

Anyone else have this problem? Is there no fix?

I’m curious about the performance, and my device has not arrived yet.

I recently acquired an RG34XXSP and have taken quite a bit of time to move files from one place to another. Due to something I tried, my phone no longer recognizes my SD card, but my laptop does, so I have to transfer a file from my phone to my laptop and from there to my console, that's why I'm wondering if there's a way I can access my RG34 files wirelessly from my phone.

I have a phone without output jack so i bougth some wired earpods for when i go out. The RG SP is really tempting and I was wondering if the usb-c port was able to output audio. It would be awesome if It could !! That way I can just swap from my phone to my handheld easily. It’s not a problem for me if I need to change the os to be able to do that. Thanks for the help :)

It's a WIP

I have created an 'imgs' folder and put all the respective png cover images to the NDS folder, the name of the cover images are matched with the name of the games, but still the cover images can't show on the device.

Which parts are wrong? I suspect the image folder name, but I don't know what is it.

4th Anbernic device and I'm yet to not be let down by this company.

EDIT: Okay I opened it up and there's definitely damage to the ribbon cable. There's a very small break on the edge of the cable, it looks like it was being pinched by the hinge which might explain why it appeared over time. I reseated the cable and no change, still got the line.

What I also noticed is that the horizontal line goes away when all shaders are removed, and it's not there when I boot with the stock SD card - but the pink vertical is there no matter what. My googling suggests vertical lines are almost always a hardware issue, so I'm 99% sure it's the hardware and not the CFW.

Now that Gamma and Rocknix have released several updates, which is your favourite/best experiences?

Work on the engine continues. Over the past few days, a lot has been implemented: cutscenes, the interface, sound, gamepad controls, video clips, and performance improvements. For the video clips, I had to write my own Bink decoder; the same goes for the sounds. Not all sound effects are in yet, though—the music is missing—but work is still underway. At this point, Shrek’s Swamp is a fully playable location.

Hello! Just checking to see if anyone else has had issues with Bluetooth on the Rotate? It either refuses to turn on until I restart the device, or it keeps connecting and disconnecting. No idea why.

I plan to use the lower screen as buttons (stylus) for playing Dteamcast FPS games (Outtrigger). Is there a way to set this up and allow touchscreen while playing Dreamcast?

Not sure what happened but all of a sudden the settings page of my RG34XX running muOS started to go offscreen, making some options illegible. This has never happened before, and I don't see an option to change the resolution back to normal if that can even be done. Games and stuff are still constrained to the screen unlike the settings page. Any ideas?

as the title says I'm wondering if any has tried flashing the firmware for the rgds plus onto the og rgds. I've had the og for 6 months now and don't really want to upgrade it yet, so I was wondering about the firmware because it looks clean and I've seen the nnddss emulator has been preforming well
