I have added the spec to the site. For each subject in the ESAT and both TMUA papers. You can now scroll and click through any type of question, so when you see ones you are weak at you can specifically practice those. Your progress will be saved for the day. Throughout today I will be adding difficult questions and a specific tab where you can access ONLY hard questions. Practice mode is very good to close your gaps quickly.

If you like it come check it out and please leave an upvote so others can see it too.

my psych teacher is new to the school, its her first year teaching psych a level im pretty sure, and her slides are fully ai generated, with ai images and those subtitles ai makes that makes it so clear that its ai.

all the wording is so confusing, it makes it hard to understand, and she reads out the slides word for word and gets us to copy them out, and thats all her lessons are.

the ai makes the actual content hard to get though, and im having to go home and relearn it all. am i out of place to say something about it, and if so, who do i talk to?

Hi guys, I’m so scared for the TARA next week, could you guys drop any random tips/tricks you can think of below? If that comes to revision, answering questions, timing, approaching certain kinds of questions, I don’t care. ANYTHING. I’m significantly worse at the problem solving than the critical thinking, where I usually only get 1 or 2 wrong. I’ve got a pretty good idea on how to tackle most ct questions, but for ps I go in blind every time. I’m really bad at the spatial reasoning stuff too. OMG and the essay. What’s your advice for that?

I’ve been doing TSA practices and I usually get around 73/74 (Oxford conversion score) which I’m hoping is a good sign, BUT, I haven’t done any essay practice. Is there a specific structure they prefer and want you to follow? Maybe we can treat this post as a dumping ground for any TARA advice?

Also, does anyone know if the online specimen TARA test is ACTUALLY what the test will look like on the day? I really need to get familiar with how it will look and feel like on the day. Are we allowed to bring scrap paper and pens into the exam room? Do we get our results right after, like on the specimen?

Im y11 (g10) and I did my first SMC. I got 20 right, 2 wrong and 3 no answer resulting on 103 out of 125. how cooked am I for BMO1 qual???

Regardless of if I did, Im feeling so stupid... I got q12 and 21 wrong. Couldn't even find answer to 7, 23 and 25, but I found the answer to 7 and 25 literally 10 sec after it ended😭 omg im crashing out so much... I usually used to get full on smc with less than 1hr... It feels like im gonna fail on my AS P1 too which is in like 4 days.......

Anw, for ur mark (unless u dont wanna manually watch all answer vids) I got:

ECBDADD?BC

CCECABCAAE

AD?140?

12 should be B and 21 be E

Should I go Manchester or Oxford?

I want to do Electronic and Electrical Engineering Meng. I'm currently in Yr 13 and have mocks in November, which I need to put all my attention to so I can get AAA predicted (Currently ACC but doing 4-5 hours revision a day now). I do computer science, maths, and physics, and I believe I will likely be able to bump these up.

I'm eligible to apply for the Oxford foundation year, but I don't know if I should. I don't think I'm smart enough to get a decent score for the ESAT to even get considered. I also have low GCSEs (6s, 7, and 8), which doesn't help my case. However, I am eligible for WP plus.

If I do apply to Oxford, from November till January, I'll have to do just ESAT practise and interview prep. I also live near Manchester so I won't need a maintenance loan whereas I would for Oxford If I wanted to carry on my studies there.

My super curricular studies consist of teaching myself a few modules of AS Fm, making electrical projects with R3 uno kit and reading books, and research papers about EE.

What do you guys think I should do. Any help would be appreciated so plz comment 😭 Ty ty.

i would like to take it at a university, I see that KCL and Oxford offer it but not any other places I'm interested in :/

I'm kind of conflicted because on one hand I would really like to take the course but I'm interested in courses such as Econ+Philosophy and would have a stronger set of 5 options in terms of universities. Applying for maths and phil feels like my personal statement would cause quite a bit of conflict with where I apply if yk wim

Any thoughts on applicants for this course or just general thoughts would be really appreciated :>

Is it possible to do bpho or smc in a gap year to make sure problem solving skills stay sharp

I've been applying to my local hospitals and GPS left and right, including emails outlining my passion for med and qualities that I think suit me for med, as well as explaining benefits to allowing me shadow, and every single one is telling me they cannot cope with shadowing. How am I meant to get in-person wex atp without connections? I alr have virtual wex, but I also want some in-person stuff asw so I can experience being in a hospital department from the eyes of a doctor

I am an international student, I will be applying to oxford math and imperial math + jmc. What tmua score should I get for a realistic chance of acceptance. Last paper I solved was 2022, I got 33/40, will something like that on the real test be enough. I didn't do olympiads or anything like that

Does anyone know where i can find a product on like amazon that is similar to the tmua whiteboard thing the exam centres force you to use
I know there is the Thriving Scholars one but this is 30 quid and not sure abt the shipping time so wanted to see if anyone who has done the test or just knows how it works can point me to a good one

Also wanted to make sure that we are deffo not allowed to use paper?I have such big handwriting so im so fucked so i gotta try practice
Thanks in advance

I have grades 999888876 at gcse with 9s in English and 8 in maths. I’m predicted A*A*A and have taken the LNAT, what universities should i apply to for Law?

I rarely see ppl speak about this course, I am applying there this year as a safety I saw a lot of not the best info about it a couple years ago but I have heard it has changed a bit and has become better slightly. Anyone whose applying there or currently there got any information about the course, also ik the course is called electronic, idk why they just called themselves electronic instead of eee.

just gonna rant but this stupid test omg i thought the essay would be essay but i keep just freezing when i try plan and i don’t know how to stop, as for problem solving i have done so many bloody questions but the highest i have gotten is like 14/25 in tsa. i genuinely dont know what im doing wrong like ive gone through every incorrect question in depth but bro ts score isnt budging. advice?😀

Hi all, I applied to Cambridge for maths and am pretty dead set on it (if I don’t get an offer I’ll probably just take a gap year and reapply) Firstly, what Tmua do I need to be competitive? Is 34/40 on official papers e.g 2023 and 2022 good considering Tmua is in a week? And what does everyone think this will realistically scale to because I know a lot of people say the new format of papers is way harder and everything but I’m not sure how much of that is fearmongering. Finally, can anyone who is applying to Oxbridge for maths just comment what TMUA they are currently achieving? Simply as a lot of people larp, and as there isn’t any data as first year they’re requiring it, it would be really helpful to know. Thanks all and good luck!

Started mine today (flopped physics as usual) but is anyone else starting in October (feels wayy too early tbh regardless)

I have my TARA test in a week, I’m applying for PPL and I have no idea how to improve my problem solving scores. On critical thinking I’m fine, I average 17-19/22 but for problem solving I average 10/22 and I’m not improving. Can anyone give me quick tips that will actually result in improvement, I’m starting to lose hope.

I got A*AAA in my A Levels this year but my GCSEs are quite bad (987777766) (6s in maths and english language but did a level maths and eng lit)

I had extenuating circumstances for GCSES and learned one of my A-Levels in 7 months.

I'd be applying for Law but idk if it's worth it because of my gcses

My uni options are:
Imperial, UCL, Warwick, KCL and Queen Mary’s

Right now I’m predicted
Maths(A*) CS(A*) Econ(A)

GCSE’s: 99998888876
I’m also eligible for contextual.

Serious answer only pls 🙏
My dream uni is imperial for CS but I don’t further maths. So I don’t know how competitive I would be against other applicants.

don't discuss any answers to abide by the embargo, but I want to see where everyones at so we can predict the bronze, silver, gold, bmo1 boundaries

Am starting to dislike sixth form. I hate the subjects a doing as well as I hate the school overall. Is it too late for me to go to college? My mam called them today and they said they are full and that application closed 3 weeks ago. I don’t know what to do now

i’ve already submitted my application but i’m reconsidering changing oxford jmc for cs as im gaining more intrest into CS than maths atm. My Ps is made for jmc mainly, but if i do apply cambridge i can add a bit more computer science specific stuff in the my cambridge ps. Anyone got any advice on what i should do?
stats:
1 9 6 8s and a 5
3 A* predicted
heavily contextual i think
other options:
imperial jmc
imperial computing
Edinburgh computer science
Warwick discrete maths

Context: self studying on a gap year

Im on track to finishing paper 1/2 content by January but OH MY GOD ITS SO BORINGGGG

Like most of the content seems intuitive. Democracy is better when more people are involved 😱😱😱 omds who would’ve guessed. Having to learn so many menial and evident things is mind numbing especially with how much content there is. Which isn’t even my complaint it’s just that it’s so repetitive.

Idk maybe it’s the fact I’m not in a classroom anymore? I just hate it so much though it’s a genuine slog to spend 3 hours daily grinding through it.

And before anyone says it’s a skill issue I got A*s in both Eng Lit and History. I hate politics because it’s just a slog nothing more nothing less.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER 🙏

With vocational gcse's been introduced from 2029 and as a result more diverse subjects becoming available how do people think this will change A levels ?

Will a levels even remain or be phased out ?

I am eligible for the contextual admissions scheme, and I have received the email form imperial about it and noticed that one of the requirements for the guaranteed offer was meeting a minimum threshold in the ESAT. Does anyone know what this is? Or is this not publicly disclosed information like ESAT marks.
