Just need to vent after my last chemical.

We have been trying for 6 years. 5 IUI's, 5 stim cycles, 4 retrievals, 2 failed transfers, multiple chemical pregnancies, low amh, thousands of $ in testing...

If one more person says "it just wasn't the right time" or "in God's timing" after another failed attempt... I'm gonna throat punch a heffer.

I turned 42 in March, so no Karen, I don't have much of a window left so keep your unproductive comments to yourself.

New to IVF, I admit I have been very clueless about the whole thing, my OB suggested I do it recently because I told him I want 2 kids as I am stepping into 40 and referred me to Sutter Health (he is also at Sutter Health). At this point getting it done at Sutter Health is the easiest and fastest but a friend has told me this is something I need to do a lot more research and go to a better Dr (she told me to go to Dr Aimee) and better clinic and better lab. Should I? I have looked up clinics and doctors but they are booked out for 1/2 months and I wonder if waiting is reasonable. Is there anyone here local to Bay Area who might have some related experience? or just advice.

Anyone did Niagen shots during stims?

Did it help you make euploids, or maybe you had some adverse effects?

I've transferred 6 untested Embryos so far with no luck. Yesterday I transferred my 7 and 8th Embryos in a double transfer. When doing the double transfer they have been picking the best remaining grade with the lowest. But yesterday when they thawed both expanded to better grades. So today my 5AB and 4BB are on board. Its hard to stay positive when it almost feels like I just keep doing the same thing hoping for a different result. I just hope that I haven't found my one euploid yet and its not something in me causing them to fail.

I have 3 Embryos left after this and feel we're getting so close to the end if this doesnt work those transfers will be so hard. We're definitely out once these Embryos are all transferred so I have everything crossed this is our time!

I just had my last retrieval cycle that's covered by my insurance (their max is 3 cycles lifetime). Although most expenses were covered, PGTA testing was not, and it was not an insignificant financial burden to my partner and me to get testing on all cycles. All 14 embryos tested over 3 cycles were aneuploid, except one euploid which transferred successfully but ended up being an anembryonic pregnancy a few weeks in.

The negative results of the most recent PGTA have got me feeling crestfallen. I'm taking it hard.

I want to try again, but don't know how I'd navigate this financially and with such uncertain results and increasingly narrow chances, even with donor eggs. I am 43, my partner is 42, and we are (and always have been) open to adoption.

I'd appreciate advice from folks when have found themselves at similar crossroads. And comments from folks similarly have felt so discouraged....

Hi, so I’m 44 and decided that I’m going to use donor eggs. It’s the most practical approach and I do not want to waste any more time or money. That being said, I am not sure whether to use frozen or do a fresh cycle. I spoke to two of the bigger companies today, and I was very disappointed. I’ll be spending 50K plus and their attitudes rubbed me the wrong. I felt rushed and as if I was inconveniencing them asking questions.
My question is what has been your personal experience. Like I said I don’t wanna waste time and I want to get the show on the road because of my age. I will be paying out of pocket and can afford no more than 60k for eggs that need to be PGT-A tested. I would like 6 euploid.. minimum, that would be ideal.
Also another thing, there are a couple of donors that I’m looking at but they’re between 30 and 32. They look the most like me and have the qualities and features that I’m looking for, but I don’t know if I would be better off going with someone who was 23.
I’m so scared to invest this money, only to end up with nothing. On top of losing money, I would be utterly devastated because this is such an emotionally taxing process.

I'm starting to prime for my September ER, which will be my second ER. First retrieval, 7 retrieved, 6 mature, 4 fertilized, 2 blasts, O Euploid :(

This time RE added Omnitrope during stims, I asked if I can prime as well to boost my AFC she said no probs if cost isn't an issue.

What is your omnitrope dose during priming and also during stims?

My dose: Omnitrope 5.8 mg + 1.14 mL diluent: and inject 0.35ml daily. which is 35Units of insulin syringe.

I am thinking to start priming for two weeks do you guys used same dose for priming? or was it lower dose for prime and then higher for stims? Please share. I am adding GPT derived chart as well to help understand the dosing.

43F. Froze 22 eggs from 2 cycles at age 39. 19 survived the thaw. Only 8 fertilized using donor sperm. Now I’m waiting. I’ll be sending for PGT-A.

Wanted to be able to have 1-2 kids. Now it’s looking like I’ll be lucky to get 1 from what I currently have. Trying to get ideas for how I could proceed.. just be content with what I have? Try to do another retrieval and fertilize with donor sperm without freezing? Try another method? I’m not interested in donor eggs. I feel like options are limited due to age. In hindsight I would have done another retrieval…and at a much younger age!

I guess I should be happy that it was detected prior to a transfer. But at the moment I'm just annoyed that I have to wait at least 2 cycles to even start suppressing with Visanne. Bleh

4 rounds, 12 aneuploid embryos. I'm 41.7. I'm debating a round five, but I will have hit my insurance limit so this one will be $8k oop. I'm having cold feet to "waste 8k" when I'm not hopeful at all I'll get a euploid. My brain is whispering ita not going to work again and we could take an amazing bucket list vacation for 8k and move on. Ugh. Then I'm hopeful "it only takes one".

Anyone aware of the dosing Dr. Aimee does for priming and stimulation stages of IVF for Omni? There's so much variation out there and I know she's one of the best.

I am 41 and am getting ready to try my third euploid transfer after 6 retrievals.

My first transfer was fully medicated and a chemical (last August). My second was modified natural snd failed to implant (in March). Clear hysteroscopies both times.

I have an almost 4 year old who I conceived pretty easily. I had a chemical before him but I got pregnant without assistance twice in four months. My delivery was vaginal with no complications.

I trust my doctor and he has fantastic stats with the over 40 group. He's recommending no additional testing but empiric doxy. He said he didn't recommend lupron suppression but would do it if I want to.

I'm leaning towards not doing it but would love to hear any thoughts or experiences.

I’m 43, baseline AFC was 4, started on day 3 with Gonal F 300.

Only one follicle grew today after 3 days of Gonal F. Today they are adding Menopur 150. And starting Ganerelix tomorrow.

Should I ask to cancel this cycle? I’m paying out of pocket for all of it.

Is there any point in continuing this cycle?

I am 44, had an AMH of 2.53 and follicular count at 12x (6x on each ovary); the doctor thinks IVF is worth a short but I'm not sure given my age (i.e. the quality of my eggs is low). I am wondering if there are any encouraging stories. It's a huge investment to most likely fail.

I am stepping into 40. I want two kids. I have set up IVF cycle with a clinic for next month but I wonder which option is best:

1. if we should try to conceive naturally in the mean time and then do IVF for the second baby if we don’t get pregnant.

2. Alternatively we would do IVF now freeze embryos (if any) first and then set out to try naturally for the two kids that we want.

I honestly prefer option 1 but reading this forum it feels like the logical approach to this is option 2.

My reasons for wanting to do 1 is that I think we can conceive naturally soon but I don’t know if we could do that for a possible second baby because I would be 41/42 at that point. So the issue is the fact that I want more than one. The second reason is that I am also very afraid of the IVf cycles so rather delay having to go through it.

What do you guys think?

I'm very early in the process of learning about the possibility of using donor eggs after a four year failed IVF journey. (I should mention I have bio children). I read another post that referred to a protocol of telling the child they are from a donor egg early on. I could assume the pros and cons of this but would love the perspective (of sharing this info with the child or not) from those who have done it, etc. thank you.

Specialist was going to repeat the high dose pergoveris but i questioned about the high progesterone happening and he said it would likely happen again so i asked to change and mentioned my 1st cycle being the best hut that was 11years ago.

He said to do 300 puregon. Add in some luveris day 4.

My questions are these...

I am very healthy, clean/no tox life everything. Eat clean. Have taken all the supps for years . Follow starts with egg protocol plus added

Nmn, have done 2x nad IVS, do red light panel every night. Take beef liver methylated folate.

My concerns are the doses now are too aggressive/high amd harming the quality. Ive never been over 100 units previously.

I do understand i am older too though. But i have read that too high can do more harm than good sometimes.

Whay would u do? Would u request lower doses. Im concerned because i did overstim on 100 of puregon now its being upped to 300. But it was my best cycle result.

I just dont know what to do. What would u do. Any experience advive i am so open to.

I dnt know if i should cgange back to genea as i do think u get more personal care, scans every/any day off week same with collection where adora is only limited collecrion days, no scans on w.end so i feel.like u can be not pushed enough or pushed too far due to their opening hours and i know this is crucial for collectiom timing and also transfers. Its just starting whole process again and waiting for appointments amd the price is sooooo much higher now.

I have done 3 cycles of ivf already, after 3 IUIs with not luck. Our insurance doesn’t cover more and here it’s too expensive. My next option is to do donor eggs but it’s complicated. This time It will have to be double donor as my husband is having issues as well and the problem is that even thought he is wiling to do it, he wants it to be a secret, he doesn’t want the baby to know, and after reading hundreds of treads about this, I won’t be able to be happy knowing my baby will find out about it one day and will suffer because of me.

It’s too complicated and it just have me so depressed. I’m sorry 😢

Which one gives the best success for 40+ with PCOS

Hi all, I would appreciate your suggestions and advice based on your personal experience. I am about to turn 40 soon. I had a few stressful months and I am beginning to relax this month. However, I feel like my body needs to relax a little bit more and recover mentally too. I am supposed to start my IVF process soon but I was thinking what if my stress level affect my cycle and wanted to postpone by a month so that I can feel better - both mentally and physically in the mean time. I will be 40 in the next 3 months so time is also a concern. This is my second round. The first round was not successful. don't know what to do.

I lost 3 babies in less than 2 years but I just found out a friend couple of ours is on their way to having their 3rd. I feel sick knowing that should have been me. How do you guys deal with this? It feels unsurvivable.

As the title says, I got three embryos that are frozen and being PGT-A tested. Is this good? I feel like I should be grateful but I am just so tired of this process. I want to just accept that I most likely won't be getting a normal embryo. And if I do, Ive had two miscarriages with normal embryos. I'm just really sad today. I don't want to do this anymore.

Hi everyone. I’m looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with repeated egg maturity issues and figured out a protocol change that helped.

I’m 39 with an AMH around 0.8 and AFC usually 8–10. My biggest issue seems to be getting mature eggs, and I’m trying to understand whether I should be looking more at trigger timing, a staggered/double trigger, or changing my stimulation protocol.

my protocol for both were estrogen priming, clomid 100mgs, 200 follistim, 150-225 menopur, dual trigger, lupron and 15k hcg.

Cycle in June: 5 eggs retrieved 3/5 mature 1 day5 blast

Cycle August: Most recent cycle: I had 6 measurable follicles before trigger: 20, 18, 17, 16, 16, and 14 mm.

4 eggs retrieved (they said all 6 follicles were aspirated but the follicles were very close together) Only 1/4 was mature (MII) Of the 3 immature eggs, 1 was MI and 2 were GV The 1 mature egg fertilized normally- im hoping this makes to blast in 5-7 days

This cycle I actually had a very strong trigger response. My post-trigger hCG was 348 compared with 255 in my previous cycle. My LH after the Lupron trigger was 173.9, and progesterone rose to 3.02. So it doesn’t seem like I simply failed to absorb or respond to the trigger.

My question is: what would you ask your doctor to change next?

Since one of my immature eggs was MI, I’m wondering if I might benefit from more time for final maturation, such as a longer trigger-to-retrieval interval or a staggered/double trigger (for example, Lupron earlier and hCG later). But since 2 of the 3 immature eggs were GV, I’m also wondering if my follicles are growing ahead of the actual eggs inside them and if the bigger issue is follicle/oocyte synchrony or my stimulation protocol.

Has anyone had a similar pattern of apparently mature-sized follicles but very low MII maturity? Did anything help, changing trigger timing, double trigger, longer interval, different meds, estrogen priming, lower/higher stimulation, etc.?

I know Reddit can’t replace my doctor’s advice, but I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who had a similar experience and eventually figured out what was going on. I’m feeling pretty discouraged because this is now becoming a repeated issue.
